A very special mare and a rare opportunity to acquire one of this calibre.
Golly was a highly successful Small Hunter, qualifying for RIHS and enjoying numerous wins at county level, including Three Counties and Pembrokeshire County.
She has since bred eight super foals, all of whom have gone on to excel in their respective fields. She is an exceptional broodmare who has always foaled easily, reared her foals well and consistently passed on her quality.
Prior to breeding, she hunted, cross-countryed and turned her hoof to a bit of everything. She particularly excelled across country and jumping and has always had an excellent temperament. She is straightforward to handle and good to do in every respect, with fantastic clean limbs and has never been sick or sorry.
She has relatively low mileage for her age and, although sold straight from the field, we feel she could comfortably be brought back into work. She could make a lovely candidate for veteran classes, including London qualifiers, ideal for dressage or a happy hacker, equally would still be an asset as a broodmare.
She was intentionally left empty this year while her owner decided what to do with her. Her last filly foal has been retained.
This is a very reluctant sale (same home for 11 years) purely due to her owners change in circumstances. She is a mare who thrives on having a purpose and we simply feel she has far too much still to offer to spend her days as a field ornament.
Home is absolutely paramount. She must go to a knowledgeable private home where she will be kept at home with plenty of turnout. No livery yards, dealers or timewasters please.
