Rosie is a lovely, genuine mare who makes a fantastic mum and child share.

She joined us over the summer, when my daughter has gradually brought her back into work, enjoying fun rides, farm rides, and hacking.

She has previously had a minor suspensory injury, however this has caused us no issues at all since owning her (with us since March 2025). She is sound, well, and absolutely loving life.

Rosie can be a little fizzy, but she is very kind-natured, genuine, and a pleasure to have around. I am a novice rider, and she has given me real confidence both in the arena and out hacking.

She enjoys show jumping and has jumped competently up to 85cm at local shows. With further time and consistency, she is certainly capable of more.

About Portia
Portia is a sweet, genuine 13-year-old 16hh mixed Portuguese sports horse mare (as per passport). She’s a lovely low-level all-rounder who enjoys hacking and a varied life. This is a sad, heartfelt decision, but finding the right long-term home is the priority.
I’ve had her for 5+ years and she’s done a bit of everything with me: low-level show jumping, schooling, hacking, fun rides, XC schooling, hunter trials and she has hunted previously. She can have the odd spook, so I wouldn’t describe her as a totally novice ride.

What she’s like

Portia is not currently a reliable loader. She was recently in a loan home where they hoped to travel and compete, but they didn’t have the time to work through it. With patience and consistent practice, I believe this can improve (I travelled her every other week about two years ago), but I want to be transparent so she goes to a home that suits her.

I’ve tried to sell Foggy before, but cancelled the sale as we didn’t find the right home. Foggy isn’t just a horse, he’s part of our family - has been my absolute rock and my daughter’s partner, and letting him go makes me incredibly sad, but the reality is that I am riding less due to work, and it is now time to get my daughter the youngster she has wanted for a long time. So, as hard as this is the time has come to find him the home he truly deserves.

Foggy is a genuine, super all-rounder who has been shared between me and my 17-year-old daughter. He is never sick or sorry and will happily turn his hand to almost anything. He has competed in showjumping (up to 1.10) , arena eventing and cross country, comfortably jumping a metre and over in each discipline and will always look out for his rider. Given the choice, his absolute favourite is arena eventing and eventing. He sometimes goes off the wrong lead in left canter but this is rider dependent and a habit from previous owner.

He hacks regularly on the South Downs with me and the dogs, alone and in company. He stands patiently at gates, is happy to go in front or behind, and is an absolute BFG on the ground. He is easy to shoe, clip, load, travel and for the dentist, and is sensible and straightforward both at home and away.

Foggy truly excels cross country and arena eventing and is placed every time out. He is an exceptional horse, but please no novices. While he is kind and genuine, he is a sports horse and needs a rider who wants to do a job. We previously had to re-advertise due to a high number of novice enquiries, so please be realistic.

He has not hunted with us, but did hunt in Ireland as a youngster and I have no doubt he would love it. He has no vices. He had a minor wind operation when he was young, hence the name, but this has never affected his performance.

This is a very difficult sale and he will only be available to a (ideally private) five-star, forever home. Absolutely no dealers. No rush to sell and the right home is far more important than price.

Arlo is a great part of the yard – super friendly, kind-natured and very easy to have around.

He is happy living in or out and on his own or with other horses.

To ride, Arlo is an absolute pleasure. He is very much more woah than go, making him a comfortable and steady ride.

Arlo recently attended an unaffiliated showjumping show, and behaved perfectly! The busy atmosphere didn’t phase him at all, happy in the busy warm up and easy to handle in between.

He loves hacking and is rock solid in open spaces and in traffic. He hacks happily alone or in company and stands patiently while opening and closing gates.

Arlo has been ridden by many riders of different abilities, a super confidence giver - ready to get out and have some fun!
