Dotty stands at around 14.2h and is 7 years old. She is a super fun pony. Suitable for smaller adults and experienced children looking for a bigger pony. She loves her jumping, super brave around cross country & always clear show jumping (80cm).

Nicely schooled on the flat and would produce a lovey dressage test. She works consistently in a soft outline with good transitions and is nicely off the leg.

Out hacking she is brave and unflappable & is unfazed by heavy traffic. Nice forward going ride.

We took her to a fun ride in April with the staff college drag hounds where she was a lot of fun!

Dotty is good to do in al ways with no stable vices. Easy little mare to have around, you can park her anywhere and you won’t know she’s even there.

Won’t suit very young novice children.

Walter - 14.3hh, 7 Years, Gelding. Stunning Coloured Dun Cob. Massive Weight Carrier

Safe Confidence Giver
Ideal First Horse / Nervous Rider / RDA
Fantastic All-Rounder / Happy Hacker / Schoolmaster Type

Walter is a kind, well-mannered and exceptionally genuine cob with a fantastic temperament and a wealth of experience. He is the definition of safe, steady and sensible, making him the ideal confidence giver for nervous, novice or less experienced riders, whilst still being enjoyable and responsive enough for a more capable rider wanting to progress and have fun.

Stunning unique coloured cob

Although incredibly calm and forgiving, Walter responds well off the leg and has three excellent paces, he moves beautifully with energy and enthusiasm when asked. He is never spooky, sharp or silly in any way, remaining relaxed and level headed at all times. He is extremely willing and enjoys jumping, happily popping around coloured and rustic fences with a quiet, sensible attitude.

A true snaffle-mouth schoolmaster with no gadgets required.

Walter is currently working in a riding school where he is ridden 3 / 4 days a week by riders of all abilities, from complete beginners on the lead rein, nervous riders and RDA clients through to more experienced jockeys. He takes part in flatwork lessons, private lessons, group sessions, low-level jumping and dressage classes, always proving himself genuine, patient and reliable.

He absolutely loves hacking and is one of the safest horses imaginable out on the roads or in open spaces. He hacks alone or in company and is equally happy at the front, middle or back of the ride. He never pulls, rushes, naps or becomes strong and remains calm and collected in even the busiest environments.

Walter is completely unfazed by extremely heavy traffic including articulated lorries, double-decker buses, tractors, trailers and farm machinery. Nothing bothers him. He is equally mannerly and sensible across open fields and will happily canter in company without getting strong or excitable, even on the way home.

On the ground, Walter has impeccable manners and is an absolute pleasure to handle. He will happily stand for hours being groomed without even needing a headcollar on. He has no vices whatsoever in the stable, field or when ridden and is safe and easy for anyone to handle.

He lives out happily in a mixed herd but is equally content stabled. He keeps himself to himself and never causes any trouble. He is excellent to catch, load, clip, shoe, bath and for the farrier, dentist and vet. Currently barefoot with excellent feet.

Walter would happily turn his hoof to hunting, fun rides, beach rides, riding club activities, low-level eventing or showjumping. He is the sort that gives his rider complete confidence whatever the activity. In his previous home has did low level competitions and Pony club.

He does not need riding every day and can happily have weeks / months off work then be tacked up and ridden away without fuss. He is extremely low-maintenance and straightforward to keep.

He has never had laminitis, sweet itch, sarcoids or any lameness issues. No lumps, bumps or blemishes.

He passes annual riding school licence inspections, equivalent to a Stage 2 vetting.

A genuinely heartbreaking sale of a much-loved horse, only available as we are reducing numbers due to the riding school becoming extremely quiet.

Five-star private home only for this outstanding gelding.

We have several other horses and ponies available as we continue to reduce numbers. Sold on behalf of a working livery.

If genuinely interested, please CALL rather than text or email, as messages cannot always be replied to immediately.
WHATSAPP MESSAGES WELCOME.

Turns 6 in November (?!). No recorded breeding but New Forest passport (?!) We’ve had this absolute legend, since a 2 yo and ADORE him, he’s just sadly totally wasted with us and deserves more action.

Broken to tack although ridden under a dozen times in his whole life. Ace in harness for pub trips, Frampton country fair, Naunton Donkey Derby, autumn hunting with The Heythrop etc. Again low mileage but has absolutely aced anything we’ve ever asked him to do.

Microchipped and up to date with teeth, flu, feet, worming. Lives out on fresh air alone, incredibly low maintenance with not a sick or sorry day to his name. The most charming, genuine, willing lad you could hope to meet. Would be a fun project for someone to do absolutely anything and everything with.

Homes will be throughly vetted

Fantastic Frank is sadly up for sale. He was supposed to be brought into work after winter but we lack a rider. .

He was professionally and sympathetic backed by the best producer in our area. Frank has proven to be easy to teach and retains easily what he has learned. He is however super green and not suitable for novice or nervous rider.

He will make in the future a super pony, with some serious speed and scope in him. I can see him as a perfect riding club /pony club horse and will be great for hunt and pleasure rides. He will stand with a rider on him at the block for 30 min without moving a foot. He is that hard to find sort.

He is sweet, loves attention and can be cheeky as his is after all a young horse. He is the favourite of our holiday let guests. Frank has one blue and one brown eye.

He loads like a pro and travels fine for the limited times we had to take him. Frank is good to clip and with the farrier. He is up to date with his teeth and vaccinations. Easy to catch. He hasn’t been lame or ill for the time we’ve had him.

I have loads of videos/ photos of Frank available from when he was backed and general photos.

  • Some fabulous knowledgeable homes waiting

I have motivated clients looking for genuine, kind, quality and proven ponies to take part in all Pony Club activities.

The ponies I would love to hear about are those not needing to be advertised to secure a new home. There is no harm in finding out whether I know of a better home and match. Perhaps you worry about your child finding it upsetting seeing their old pony regularly at rallies etc - then selling out of area could be a better solution.

These are motivated buyers receiving guidance as to what will likely suit their child - not the timewasters regularly reported. In most cases homes are also knowledgeable: simply lacking in time to conduct a search themselves. Most will also wait for the right pony so if you are not ready to sell yet - that is not an issue.

There are some decent budgets available relative to age and medical conditions etc.

All leads will be handled with discretion. Please feel free to give me a call, drop me a WhatsApp or check out my Instagram page @theponysearchagent

For Sale on behalf of client - Lightening, 14.1 13 years gelding. CHAPS REG

A good sturdy pony! Tall, wide and like an armchair, rides bigger than he measures.

A true happy hacker, loves hacking and anything rural!

Mostly unflappable! Not so keen on rattly trailers but otherwise sound on the roads (manageable with rattly trailers)

He doesn’t enjoy flat work will tolerate it to warm up for jumping but the odd time in the school will grind to a halt, you can get going but can tell he’d rather not trot pretty circles although he’s super well schooled!

Loves jumping, great with canter poles, good corners and really pricks his ears for jumping especially rustic and out in fields! Cob with character ??

Needs to be around people who are experienced to remind him of his manners the odd time and knows the boundaries, he can sometimes forget!

Very laid back in the field
Has had legs clipped in the past but never had body clipped.
Bare foot
Good on the trailer
Full wardrobe available
Clean vet history and up to date with everything

13.1h Dun Welsh Sec C Mare
8 years old

We purchased Bear last summer as a recently backed project for our teenage daughters to produce, both experienced riders. Over the last 10 months She has been very much part of our busy family and loved by everyone. Bear has been produced slowly and correctly with the support of professional riders. She is a kind, sensitive and affectionate pony - very un-mareish in her manner.

Bear hacks nicely in company and alone, has done lots of pony club rallies, hound exercising, fun rides, farm rides, arena hires and attended her first SJ competition where she produced 2 lovely clear rounds and placed in both classes. Bear also won her class at a recent hunter trial, qualifying for the hunter trial championships at Eland Lodge later this year.

Bear is still early in her ridden career so will need a knowledgable home in order to continue her education and achieve her full potential. We believe she will go very far with the right partner.

Bear has a Welsh pony brain, so can be nervous in new situations/ environments. She is never nasty - no kicking, biting, bucking, rearing or tanking off. She is handled regularly by younger children and has been ridden by novice family & friends. She is happy to live in or out (currently stabled at night, out during the day) and will live with mares or geldings.

She’s great to catch, load and is bare foot (good for farrier). We have only clipped her once and took our time, using quiet cordless clippers and she was a good girl.

We are all incredibly fond of Bear and are happy to wait in order to find her the perfect home and new best friend.

  • Currently standing between 14.2hh and 14.3hh and bum high

A very sweet young mare with a nice start and the breeding and temperament to develop into a fab small allrounder, Oti is confident and kind. A compact type with a willing attitude, backed and straightforward to do, she's not been rushed and is a genuine blank canvas ready for someone to produce and put their own stamp on her.

Owned since she was 1 (direct from her breeder at Tremayne Irish Draughts in Cornwall), she's a fabulous and much-loved little mare.

She is currently between 14"2/14"3 and short coupled - she'll take a 16.5" saddle maximum. This is the only reason she's for sale as she just hasn't grown big enough for me, she wouldn't be going anywhere if she had grown a hand bigger.

She has recently been professionally backed proving very straightforward to do, and is currently riding away sensibly at her backing yard in Cornwall where she is in work 5 days a week, mostly hacking out.

Oti is already a pleasure to have out and about:
- She's done plenty of groundwork including lots of long lining. Easy on the ground, on the yard, in the stable.
- Obviously very green but a very sensible head for her age, she is proving brave, willing, and not phased by things
- Should make a proper 'have a go at anything' sort.
- Hacking out and genuinely enjoys it; is the same whether she goes first or last and has been out alone around the farm with no problems.
- Confident being in the indoor school but still extremely green.
- Good in all traffic seen so far, including tractors.

She is:
- Level-headed, biddable, and should prove easy to produce.
- A friendly people person, generally wants to be with you and involved in whatever you're doing.
- Good with other horses, easy with any routine or management.
- Great with the farrier, has always been barefoot and regularly trimmed, up to date with this.
- Great with the vet, up to date with vaccinations, teeth, worming. Wolf teeth removed a couple of years ago.
- Fine in her stable and with being left whilst others go out.
- Easy to catch: has always come to call, follows you around the field.
- Confident with new experiences & takes things in her stride.
- Kind with children, good with dogs (has been used to lots of dogs since I've had her).
- Not phased by machinery and tractors (we had lots of work done on the yard whilst she was a baby and she was super interested in watching it all).

She is realistically priced due to her relative lack of experience to date:
- She's backed & riding away but hasn't been out to shows / seen much of the world yet.
- I've never clipped her or bathed her, I don't think she'd have a problem with either (she's had the back of clippers all over her whilst on with no issues) but she's never done it.
- She's an inexperienced traveller because I've never had transport.
- She's got a cold splint that has never caused any issues, from hooning around being a youngster on lots of land in the spring last year.

Location:
Located in Cornwall between Falmouth & Helston at her backing yard, she's in regular ridden work and her price will increase the more she does.

Who she'd suit:
Oti would suit a small adult who is comfy in a 16.5" saddle max, who is kind, confident and experienced and who's looking for an easy little mare to produce this summer. No novices purely due to her age; she deserves a balanced confident rider capable of furthering her education. She'll turn her hoof to lots of things, should be a lovely all rounder.

No loans, no LWVTB, no payment plans. Genuine enquiries only please.
