  • Hacks alone/In company

Hazel is a 14.3/15hh, 4 rising 5 year old Connemara mare with full breeding recorded. N/N hwsd.

A sweet and kind mare who’s super willing to learn and the loveliest mare to have around.

Been well started, seen a little bit of everything but not overdone.

Been to arena hires, Xc schooling and lots of hacking.

Hacks alone or in company and good in traffic. Loves to box up for a hack and have a play in the woods jumping logs. Good to take out and about on the lorry to different places.

Popping a course of fences sweetly with fillers and hasn’t looked at anything. She has a really super jump, very tidy front end and shows lots of scope.

She’d make a fabulous little horse for older child/teenager/small adult to go off and do a bit of everything.

An absolute pet on the ground. She will stand for hours to be pampered and loves attention.

Good to catch/load/travel/clip - loves being clipped!

Please WhatsApp for videos, if you call and I don’t answer please send a text and I’ll call back.

Passed a 5 stage vetting on import with certificate available and is up to date on jabs.

Lovely kind mare with nice temperament.

Has Competed. Won Dressage and SJ. Hunted a couple of times. Completed fun rides.

Good with other horses. Hacks out in traffic.

Good to shoe, clip and loads into a lorry. You can Ride and lead another off her and vice versa.

Great with children. My Grand daughter (only 6 and when 5) competed her at a couple of Gymkhanas. She is not over keen on Cows ( I cope with her).

This mare is no slouch. Is super forward and off the leg.

Upto date vaccinations.

Only a very good, knowledgeable 5* home for her. Polite notice - No Novices please.

Fantastic Dun Irish Cob

Ref #: 324767
£6,000 OVNO
  • Cob
  • Buckskin
  • Gelding
  • 4 years
  • 14.2 hands

Super smart Dun Irish Cob Gelding standing 14.2hh and rising 4yrs.

Very correct stamp with a good straight movement and a scopey jump.

Recently broken by ourselves and is hacking alone and in company, schooling and popping fences in the arena.

To ride he is very straight forward, he enjoys his work and wants to please.

He has hunted with the Leitrim Harriers for a few hours on two occasions and was fantastic each time. He was mannerly, patient and sensible, he jumped ditches and fences.

He is an honest lad who is capable of being a quality allrounder, from dressage to hunting we can see him doing very well in most spheres.

He should make between 14.3hh-15hh and is ready for someone to continue his education and put their stamp on.

Please call for a chat about him, lots of videos and more pics available via Whatsapp.

Sweetest, cuddliest gelding

Ref #: 324854
  • Kind, Safe, non spooky, mini cob with gorgeous full mane & feather
  • Absolutely loves hacking, has driven, no problem with country lanes or main roads!!
£3,500
  • Cob
  • Piebald
  • Gelding
  • 12 years
  • 12.3 hands
  • Kind, Safe, non spooky, mini cob with gorgeous full mane & feather
  • Absolutely loves hacking, has driven, no problem with country lanes or main roads!!

Gorgeous, piebald mini cob gelding.

Special 5 star home sort for Sam… he has been working in my small riding school for over a year, in this time he has taken part in a range of activities including pony days, gymkhanas, hacking, group lessons, and has particularly been an asset to the school program we coach for children with various special needs as he is always calm and gentle.

Most of his work here has been on the lead rein, he will walk, trot and even canter on lead rein, never spooky or silly, used to all farm
Machinery, dogs, animals, He hacks alone or incompany with novices off and on lead rein and my 6 year old canters him down the fields on her own, he also does ride and lead.

The but….. there are two things in life Sam just does not all together understand the point of doing!!
one is going round the arena solo without his leader, although he tries hard without a stong rider he will just stop.( he was mostly driven before he came to us so he just doesn’t get schooling in circles!)

He is also not what I would class as one of life’s jumpers, again he will happily go over poles and attempt x- poles but he will not take you round a showjumping course.

Other than that he is a superstar, he is a safe, kind pony that the smallest of children can lead, bath, plait, dress up,(he has the best mane!)
basically do anything with!

Anybody can ride him on lead rein it doesn’t matter if your noisy or wobbling, and he absolutely loves hacking, I believe he is also a good driving pony as this is what he mostly did before coming to me.

He has no known health issues or vices, is upto date with routine teeth, back, feet, wormers , vaccinations and last month passed the vetting for our riding school inspection no problem!

Excellent to bath, clip, catch, lives with mares

& geldings, un shod with good hard hooves! Sad sale only as I need a jumping pony for lessons that enjoys the school more than sammy, will go the the best home only!

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Extremely hard decision for us to make.

Ace is completely wasted and deserves the opportunity to reach his potential but unfortunately I do not currently have the time, equally if the right home doesn't present itself he will continue to stay with us.

We have owned Ace since a foal, he is an absolute Saint in every way, and I would trust him with the smallest children to your grandparents.

13.2hh but looks and rides bigger, leg in each corner true to type cob.

He is brilliant is traffic, open fields and the beach.

He is never sharp or silly.

Loves his grub and lives off fresh air.

Can be clipped without a headcollar on

Currently being advertised from the field, therefore needs bringing back into work but wouldn't take long. He has previously attended clinics by a teenager and adult without any issues.

He has very little miles on the clock and would make a fabulous mother daughter share, he makes every rider on board feel super safe.

Was shown at Royal Welsh Winter Fair as a foal placed the highest native in his class.

We do feel in the right hands he has the potential to do well on the circuit.

Ace lives in or out without any trouble, he is currently turned out with a 2yo colt has been previously turned out with foals, mares, geldings.

He will stand and be groomed til the cows come home, and is a pleasure to have around.

Great to catch, comes to call/whistle.

Ace was broken to drive 2022, needs more miles being driven but proved sensible and willing.

He's never been sick or sorry

Upto date with:-

Teeth
Feet
Jabs
Worming

Tack is available at separate negotiation which consists of:- Fylde saddle and bridle

REDUCED AS OWNER IS SADLY RELOCATING

11yro Quarter horse x Welsh D mare, standing 14.3.

On the flat Lilly works in a light contact, she is responsive to the leg and light in the hand. She does all basic lateral movements, with a keen attitude to learn more. She would go far between the dressage boards.

Lilly loves to jump and is totally unphased by fillers & water trays. She gets better & better every time she jumps and is proving to be very careful. Lilly has also been to a XC course and popped a few fences sweetly. She is a little more keen when jumping, but still remains snaffle mouthed. She has been away from home schooling and is always very level headed and easy.

She has been ridden by adults and kids alike and is easy in all respects, you can ride her every day or once a month, she is always pleased to be doing something.

To hack Lilly is foot perfect, she is happy in front or behind, alone or in company - great in all traffic, open spaces, with livestock and in groups. She has hacked all over and is anyone’s ride. She’s happy to jump logs & ditches when out hacking too.Always very sensible & easy going.

On the yard she is always easy, great both in and out the stable. She is barefoot with great feet and is very easy for the farrier. She was clipped for the first time this season and was very sweet. Fantastic to load & travel.

This lovely little mare is very talented and has lots of potential, so she’s looking for a home where she can be a star!

She does make a noise in her wind when she’s worked harder which is reflected in her price, this does not affect her in any way from doing her job, (we do lots of hill work, canter work, jumping etc with no issue) she is always keen & wanting to please. She would not be up to work where she’s at full wind i.e hunting or team chasing. But she is superb for all round activities, vet has seen her and is happy with the work she does and to be sold as so. Top class RC/PC small horse with a lower price tag than the current market.

Open to any vetting.
Videos & photos available on request.

What a cob this boy is, a true credit to the breed! Meet Nico! 14.3hh, 5yo, Irish cob
Well put together , excellent stamp , and certainly a beautiful model. A real stand out from the crowd type, although we try and play this down to him because he doesn’t need his ego stroking , he’s got plenty of infectious character about him!

Nico is a real kind and genuine boy to do everything with on the ground. He was super easy to clip, good for the farrier, loads and travels well, excellent to catch, good with other horses , easy to handle etc … plenty of lovely things can be said about him by anyone and everyone who is lucky enough to have met him!

Nico isn’t your kick on riding school cob, more of your turbo cob but still a nice leg in each corner type. Works well in the school, starting to understand the contact and work round. He’s a very flashy boy and would love nothing more than the chance to show off in the show ring I’m sure! Nico loves his jumping, really tried hard and is super honest and brave. He’s very much a yard favourite here , I’m always unpopular with the kids on the weekend when allocating their rides if they don’t get him!

We recently took him hunting and LEGEND would have to be the world of choice to describe him!! He’s like an old trustworthy land rover with an excellent four wheel drive! He took us all over the Welsh mountains , through the bog, up the hills, through the water etc etc! He was super. Stood patiently at the meet and loved being the centre of attention being the only one who would do the gates!

Nico is totally sane in the traffic, we’re yet to find something to upset him! He’s forward going in company but just genuinely keen to get in with the adventure that’s all! Can be a little impatient to stand , again nothing silly he’s just making sure you’ve not fallen asleep up there. Sometimes he’s great out hacking alone and sometimes he says ‘no thank you girls, not today, I’ll just stay on my yard where I can see my friends’. When he says no he does throw all the toys out the pram. Nothing that phases me but would probably traumatise a novice! So for that reason our turbo cob who thinks he’s quite the comedian does require someone who can ride and someone that finds him as funny as he thinks he is!

Nico is ride and drive , although the driving side isn’t my thing so I’ve not personally tried him out in cart. I believe this is part of him liking company out hacking as horses that have been blinkered so often take confidence in a lead.

I love this horse, his personality and character are just infectious, never a dull moment and that Winnie he gives me every morning never gets old!! Come and meet him!

Well behaved and easy to do. At previous home she mainly hunted but also attended pc rallies, camps and Xc schooled, happy jumping over 70 -80cm.

Lovely to hack and happy to be ridden by small child up to an adult.

Only been with current owners for 3 months as there circumstances have changed.

Previous owner had her for 2yrs and the owner before that had her for 3 after buying her from the breeder.

Herbie was originally puchased from me as a just broken 3yo, he’s been in the same home ever since and I’ve had a lot to do with his training in the mean time. I had him for schooling back end of last year to start for this year for 6 months schooling whilst his owners were busy and he was a complete angel and delight to have on the yard and we had so much fun.

Herbie in my eyes is as close to perfection as you’ll ever be able to find, he’s forward yet so sensible, he’s on the button but equally you can just wonder around on a loose rein and I trust him implicitly. He has the most loving temperament and the cutest face!!

Herbie is schooling lovely on the flat, he’s super bold show jumping and cross country, he’s perfect in open fields, hacking, riding with others, staying away from home ect.

Herbie is certainly an all time favourite of mine and who ever is lucky enough to end up with him will have a horse of a lifetime.

Herbie had bilateral neurectomy surgery 8th April 2023 as he had proximal suspensory desmitis. He recovered really well and he’s had a smooth run back into work and has been perfect.

Tack/rugs are included.

Although only 14 h.h he is suitable for an adult as rides bigger than he measures, and is up to weight.

This smart gelding is anybody's ride. Always willing. Don't have to kick along out hacking.

Has never bucked, knapped or put a foot wrong.

Jumps small fences and works in the school. No time to ride him is no problem, leave him couple of weeks or more and he is just as reliable.

The quietest horse I have ever seen clipped. Easy to catch, to shoe and load in wagon or trailer.

A sort hard to find.

Ride and Drive.

Comes with every guarantee. Videos available.

Frankie is a 14.2/3 coloured cob. The type that everyone wants, worth his weight in gold!!! He will give even the most nervous of novices confidence!

He hacks out in any situation alone or in company even having a trip to McDonalds drive through! Nothing phases him. I can’t describe how bombproof he is.

He was bought 4 and a half years ago as a first pony for my 11 year old daughter but full history known as he was bought from a family friend.

She has done a bit of everything with him from xc, showjumping, hunter trials, pony camp and hunting last season.

He pretty much loads himself, perfect to clip as I do this all year round. Up to date with everything.

I will only respond to phone calls to discuss details.

Millions of photos and videos available on request.

All tack including Kent and masters gp saddle and full wardrobe of rugs included in sale.

This is an emotional sad sale with a genuine reason so please only get in touch if you can provide a perfect forever home.

Holmestones tomfoolery

Tom is an Absolutely top class potential 14.2 show pony/small int

Definitely one of the easiest ponies we have ever broken! He hacks out no problems at all and been in the arena a handful of times behaving well beyond his years! We get on him straight from the mounting block.

Very sensible and willing attitude.

He is straight from the breeder, well handled and ready for someone to put the own stamp on for the 2024 season!

Mega mover and from a line of very successful hoys horses.

With a heavy heart, we are putting this much-loved family member up for sale as sadly my daughter is ready to move onto horses.

We brought Cooley 4 years ago, and since then my daughter has slowly and carefully brought him on.

He has turned his hoof to many things including dressage, hacking, jumping, bareback, cross country, camps, shows and more. He moves beautifully and would be a great dressage pony as his flatwork is excellent and he's so relaxed at shows. He enjoys jumping, especially cross country - most of his xc experience with my daughter has been doing pairs or in a group lesson. And while he enjoys showjumping he can be inconsistent, so wouldn't suit a competitive showjumping home.

He is regularly hacked on busy roads and in open spaces by my daughter and is unphased by everything - lorries, motorbikes, farm machinery, dogs etc. Never spooky or silly and doesn’t get fizzed up with other horses. My daughter rides him in all weathers - bareback and in the dark. Perfect to catch, clip, load, travel, shoe, dentist, groom etc.

Three lovely established paces and excellent class 1 breeding (Grandsire Castleside JJ).

Excellent vet history available to see.

He would suit a child, teenager or small adult looking for a forever best friend to have fun with. Max weight limit 9 and a half stone.

Up-to-date with teeth and all injections. Open to full vetting. Tack not included.

Cooley will only go to a 5* home.
