  • Could easily be a bombproof happy hacker or equally a very competitive horse
Gus is a genuine, kind horse with a fantastic attitude to life. He is the sort that can happily be ridden a couple of times a week as a safe and enjoyable hacker, yet equally has the talent and willingness to thrive in a more competitive home. Always in a snaffle.

He hacks confidently alone or in company and is absolutely bombproof in traffic. Gus is good with dogs, children and all the everyday things that make him such an easy horse to have around.

He has attended eventing training shows, showjumping competitions, arena hires and has hunted with both the Tynedale and Duke of Buccleuch, proving himself to be bold, honest and reliable over hedges and country. Equally, he is sensible enough to happily sit at the back of the field and quietly stroll home when asked. Gus has competed in the Silver Spur and looked after me over some huge hedges.

Everything Gus has done has been managed by myself alone, with no help. He loads like a dream and is a straightforward, genuine horse to take out and enjoy.

He would be ideal for someone looking for a safe, confidence-giving horse to enjoy hacking and popping the occasional jump, but he also shows real promise for someone wanting to further his education in eventing or other competitive disciplines. His willing nature and desire to please make him a pleasure to ride and produce. He has taken care of me time and time again and given me the confidence to jump hedges bigger than I ever thought I would.

Gus is offered for sale through absolutely no fault of his own, and this is a genuinely heartbreaking decision. He will only be sold to the right home where he can continue to be loved and enjoyed.

A truly special horse who is ready to make his next owner very happy.

  • Safe , laidback allrounder.
Frankie is a smart, sporty looking 14.3hh cob gelding with a kind temperament and a fantastic attitude to life. He is a genuine young horse with an old head on young shoulders who has been produced slowly and is now ready for someone to continue his education.

Frankie is very much more woah than go, giving a safe and confidence-giving ride.

Due to his age he has only done light schooling, so he is still green in the arena. Not a sharp or strong ride; can be slow off the leg while gaining confidence and experience. He has been Hunting,Arena hire/ cross country schooling and also to an unaffiliated showjumping competition finishing with a clear round!

Frankie is brave and level headed and happy to give anything a go. He is fantastic in open spaces – you can canter him across a field on the buckle and feel completely safe.

On the ground Frankie is a pleasure to have around. He is:
• Good to catch, lead and handle
• Easy to tack up
• Loves grooming and fuss
• Loads first time on trailer and lorry
• Travels well
• Good for the farrier and vet
• Has been clipped and stood perfectly
•hacks alone and in company

Frankie is a genuine young cob with masses of potential who will go on to make a fantastic all-rounder, hunting cob, riding club horse or happy hacker.

Open to viewings just no time wasters as this is a sad sale.

Due to his age Experienced home only.

Based in Berkshire.

  • Between 14.2hh and 15hh, Aged 7–11 years,A genuine schoolmaster
  • Happy being groomed

Our daughter is 11 years old and has been riding for the past six years mostly at a local equestrian centre and pony camps / hacking .

We are now looking to buy a horse or pony that will help her progress and continue to develop her riding.

She particularly enjoys jumping and hacking, so we are seeking a safe, experienced all-rounder that can build her confidence in these areas.

We live in Bath , so would have to be localish enough to travel to view.

Our ideal horse would be:

-Between 14.2hh and 15hh
-Aged 7–11 years
A genuine schoolmaster
-Sane, sensible, and confidence-giving
-Happy jumping and hacking out
-Robust and easy to manage
-Able to live out happily with other horses
-Friendly in nature and enjoys being groomed

In terms of breeding, a Connemara cross or cob cross would be preferred, although we would be open to other suitable types.

If you feel you have the right horse, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Kind regards,
Tavis

Stardust is such a lovely pony, never nasty, will lick you all day long.

11 years old by Kylebeck Crespo. He is a lovely chestnut / slightly roan in places with striking markings and his well known white feather display on his o/s flank.

Very well shown in hand and sired many foals before being cut for his ridden career. We have had him for just over 3 years and really don't want to sell him but my daughter has changed jobs and the hours and days have made it impossible to ride and show any ponies. This is so sad as he is at his best now. Advertised him before, took him off because so many of the wrong people ringing, he is loved and will only go to the right home.

You can take him into the buziest rings and he never get hot or edgy, pouring rain, heavy mud.

Never strong, ridden on light contact, Big softy , easy to do , totally home produced , perfect confirmation, has a glass like coat in the summer and very little in winter.

Lives in and out happily, good with others, farrier, travel.

Can be found easily on the internet.

1st Devon County 2024

2nd in couple of RI qualifiers

Should easily go out pick up his tickets if you want to show but he loves a varied life.

Stardust is so loved he will not be sold to anyone, he deserves the best of homes. He is priced to sell not put up for a silly figure. His Black country saddle available at extra cost.

Location Somerset, 3 miles from junction 23 of M5

Ring and ask anything but don't want text warriors and I will not hold conversation on text messages, have some respect.

  • Actively looking for the best Pony Club ponies
  • Some fabulous knowledgeable homes waiting
  • No fees for sellers
I have motivated clients looking for genuine, kind, quality and proven ponies to take part in all Pony Club activities.

The ponies I would love to hear about are those not needing to be advertised to secure a new home. There is no harm in finding out whether I know of a better home and match. Perhaps you worry about your child finding it upsetting seeing their old pony regularly at rallies etc - then selling out of area could be a better solution.

These are motivated buyers receiving guidance as to what will likely suit their child - not the timewasters regularly reported. In most cases homes are also knowledgeable: simply lacking in time to conduct a search themselves. Most will also wait for the right pony so if you are not ready to sell yet - that is not an issue.

There are some decent budgets available relative to age and medical conditions etc.

All leads will be handled with discretion. Please feel free to give me a call, drop me a WhatsApp or check out my Instagram page @theponysearchagent

A very smart young mare with a nice start, great breeding, and fab temperament, Oti is confident and kind. A compact type with a willing attitude, backed and straightforward to do, she's not been rushed and is riding away nicely ready for someone to produce and put their own stamp on her.

Owned since she was 1 (direct from her breeder at Tremayne Irish Draughts in Cornwall), she's a fabulous and much-loved little mare.

She is currently between 14"2/14"3 and short coupled - she'll take a 16.5" saddle maximum. This is the only reason she's for sale as she just hasn't grown big enough for me, she wouldn't be going anywhere if she had grown a hand bigger.

She has recently been professionally backed proving very straightforward to do, and is currently riding away sensibly at her backing yard in Cornwall where she is in work 5 days a week, mostly hacking out.

Oti is already a pleasure to have out and about:
- She's done plenty of groundwork including lots of long lining. Easy on the ground, on the yard, in the stable.
- Obviously very green but a very sensible head for her age, she is proving brave, willing, and not phased by things
- Should make a proper 'have a go at anything' sort.
- Hacking out and genuinely enjoys it; is the same whether she goes first or last and has been out alone around the farm with no problems.
- Confident being in the indoor school but still extremely green.
- Good in all traffic seen so far, including tractors.

She is:
- Level-headed, biddable, and should prove easy to produce.
- A friendly people person, generally wants to be with you and involved in whatever you're doing.
- Good with other horses, easy with any routine or management.
- Great with the farrier, has always been barefoot and regularly trimmed, up to date with this.
- Great with the vet, up to date with vaccinations, teeth, worming. Wolf teeth removed a couple of years ago.
- Fine in her stable and with being left whilst others go out.
- Easy to catch: has always come to call, follows you around the field.
- Confident with new experiences & takes things in her stride.
- Kind with children, good with dogs (has been used to lots of dogs since I've had her).
- Not phased by machinery and tractors (we had lots of work done on the yard whilst she was a baby and she was super interested in watching it all).

She is realistically priced due to her relative lack of experience to date:
- She's backed & riding away but hasn't been out to shows / seen much of the world yet.
- I've never clipped her or bathed her, I don't think she'd have a problem with either (she's had the back of clippers all over her whilst on with no issues) but she's never done it.
- She's an inexperienced traveller because I've never had transport.
- She's got a cold splint that has never caused any issues, from hooning around being a youngster on lots of land in the spring last year.

Location:
Located in Cornwall between Falmouth & Helston at her backing yard, she's in regular ridden work and her price will increase the more she does.

Who she'd suit:
Oti would suit a small adult who is comfy in a 16.5" saddle max, who is kind, confident and experienced and who's looking for an easy little mare to produce this summer. No novices purely due to her age; she deserves a balanced confident rider capable of furthering her education. She'll turn her hoof to lots of things, should be a lovely all rounder.

No loans, no LWVTB, no payment plans. Genuine enquiries only please.

A fun, forward-going Ride & Drive.

Dotty has been with us since March. She was purchased from a riding school after being a little too switched on for everyone there. We bought her because she drove, and we’ve had the best fun with her — from evening pub drives with the family to a driving holiday around Thetford Forest.

We’ve since discovered she also LOVES jumping.

She’s definitely more GO than WHOA, but she’s super safe with it.

She’s still green to ride, as she has mainly been driven, and she is very forward in her way of going because of it. However, the more she’s ridden, the better she becomes.

She would suit a super confident child or small adult who prefers a smaller horse.

We are just not using her enough to justify keeping her, so we are trying to find her a good home. She’s not really big enough for us to ride, and we already have two 17hh hunters.

She absolutely would hunt and is fearless cross-country. We’ve taken her on a hunt ride with around 30 others, where she was completely unfazed by the large group, big timber jumps, and hedges.

She is the easiest horse to have around and to do anything with. I’d keep her just as a pet if horses weren’t so expensive!

Harness and beautiful pleasure carriage are also available by separate negotiation. We can always put you in touch with someone to teach you if you have not driven before.

She’s very kind in all ways. Loves people and eager to please her rider. We have done plenty of hacking out with her and she’s been as good as gold.

Good weight carrier with plenty of bone and substance. Has done cross country with a young girl riding and is showing to be brave and honest to jump too.

No lumps bumps vices. Recent good vet cert.

Our Beautiful Merlin is looking for a new home

13.1 cob gelding
7 years old

He is loved and cared for by my 12 year old daughter, he is good to catch, bath, clip, groom, load, farrier ect. Kids do absolutely everything with him.

He was backed late at 5/6 years old and has been produced beautifully, easy off the leg. Ridden in a snaffle always. He has been hacked on the busiest roads, cantered in open fields by my novice daughter. We have taken him to arena hires, local shows and done lots of hacking.

Merlin has the most beautiful movement and the prettiest head I’ve ever seen. He has been out to local shows in-hand/ridden and always bringing home red rosettes.

He’s been the best confidence giving pony for my daughter who’s sadly very quickly outgrown him.

Merlin is still young and gaining experience, and green in some areas, he is not a rocking horse, he is forward, fun and can try it on with novice riders.

Based West Midlands, serious enquires only.

He will only go to the best of homes, he comes with his full extensive wardrobe. 100’s of photos and videos available

  • Excellent shoe, clip, load

14'3 very pretty Sec D mare, 5*home sought, amazing temperament on the ground and ridden. Brilliant to tack up, load, bath, clip, groom, a very special horse, we have owned Winnie for 8 years, so this is not an easy decision but daughter has outgrown.

She DOES NOT jump, never has, as formerly a pure dressage pony competing very successfully up to Novice Level with my daughter, but had change of career 3 years ago due to a strain during training, was fully rehabilitated and has been sound and ridden as a mother/daughter share without issue since, but for this reason we don't want a schooling home for her, she's done enough of that and is loving life as an active mare and loves funrides, hacks, beach rides, etc.

She prefers company out hacking, doesn't have to be another horse, someone walking, bike riding is fine. She's not naughty on her own, just occasionally plants her feet!

No novices as although she is very kind natured, she is a Sec D and a capable horse, would suit an experienced teen or small adult.

A good doer, so better on restricted grazing. Would suit someone who wants a lovely kind hack/funride/beach ride kind of horse.

Would consider trial period to right home, so ideally a home within reach of SY13 4RB. No Dealers.

14.2 6yo Irish Sports Pony

Friday is a versatile pony looking for a lower-key home. Safe enough for a competent novice and would suit a mother/daughter share.

Good to hack alone or in company and unfazed by heavy traffic including lorries, motorbikes, bikes, dogs, prams and farm machinery. Happy cantering across open fields and sensible in all positions of the ride.

Attended dressage, SJ and XC training/competitions giving him a lovely all-round education.

Exceptional manners – good for farrier, dentist, vet, loading, travelling, grooming, bathing and catching.

This is an incredibly sad sale of a much-loved pony. We feel Friday would be happiest in a lower-key lifestyle with someone who enjoys hacking, fun rides and dressage. While he has experienced jumping, it’s fair to say it isn’t his passion, so we would love to find him a home where he can enjoy the activities he truly thrives in.
