Meet ‘Winston’ - beautifully put together 15.2hh, 13yo , warmblood gelding by none other than ‘Heartbreaker’
He has no lumps , bumps , injuries or ailments
Winnie is as kind as you could wish for in the ground. He’s quiet, empathetic and super affectionate. He loves any form of attention and would quite literally tie up all day long to be groomed, bathed etc. He’s a super friendly boy who is a sheer joy to own and have on the yard. Yes good to catch, practically loads himself , travels beautifully, stands for the farrier, happy to live in or out…. He really is no bother at all
Winston has previously competed BS to 1m20 and was very successful. His owners then made a tough decision to sell him for no other reason than the fact he’d fallen out of love with the job and they wanted him to be happy. Since this he has jumped at a loss unaffiliated level and enjoyed himself. He would go and do some jumping but I want a very versatile home for him as feel he really deserves this.
Winston rides beautifully on the flat , a super flashy boy with movement to die for! He would go and win some dressage tests tomorrow! He loved his schooling on the fat and gives the most incredible feeling. I’d love to see him find someone who shares the same enjoyment on the flat. He’s snaffle mouthed but is forward and responsive and will have always been ridden by experienced riders so he wouldn’t appreciate someone banging around and kicking but equally is not difficult nor sharp in the slightest
I took Winston XC schooling just for a change of scenery for him and while he was very cautious at first, he was soon loving cantering over small logs and was such a joy to ride. We were in big open fields in a group of five of us and not once was he strong or pulled etc. He was more than happy to stand around so I could help and video the kids. He had his ears pricked the whole time and from this I think he would absolutely love fun / beach rides and a bit of hunting!
Hacking is definitely up there on his favourites!! He loves it!! He will go for miles and miles. Again not something he’s done masses and masses of but he’s super genuine and more than willing to go with a very level head. Win is as happy to go out on his own as he is with a friend. He doesn’t mind being in the front or back and is superb in open spaces. He stands patiently to be mounted and is happy to open and close gates etc - a nice reliable , quality horse to be sat on for sure
Winnie would also certainly be one for the show ring. I’d love a home for him that will do a bit more of his favourite things with less pressure on him , to love and enjoy him like he truly deserves. It’s his time to be someone’s best friend now , not a number in the string
