Sid is a lovely 6-year-old Thoroughbred gelding, retired sound from racing with no injuries or vices. Since coming out of racing he has been beautifully reschooled and has already enjoyed success in the show ring.

Since being with us, Sid has turned his hoof to a variety of activities. He has been hunting, cross-country schooled, attended clear rounds, and even enjoyed trips to the beach. He hacks happily alone and remains sensible in company and open spaces.

Sid is very much “woe” rather than “go” (90% of the time); however, he is still a Thoroughbred and rides as such. On occasion, if he doesn’t understand or becomes slightly overwhelmed, he may plant or take a step or two backwards — a typical TB “computer says no” moment. With a confident rider, a quick reminder and he goes straight on with his job. Those familiar with Thoroughbreds will understand his way of going.

He has hunted a handful of times this season, proving to be bold and genuine, happily jumping without a lead. With more mileage, he has all the potential to make a fantastic Secretary or Field Master’s horse, or equally a very smart Ladies Hunter.

He is a big flashy horse, very chilled and loving on the yard and to handle.

Important: Sid is not a novice ride. He will only be available to experienced, knowledgeable hunting homes who understand and appreciate Thoroughbreds. To save everyone’s time.

A genuine, quality horse with plenty to offer the right rider.

Good to clip catch load travel and shoe. No lump bumps. Clean limbed.

Luna – Brave & Beautiful All-Rounder Pony

Luna has been out hunting with us this season and has proven herself to be an absolute star. She is fearless, happily jumping anything you put in front of her while remaining calm, level-headed, and easy to ride.

She goes sweetly in a snaffle at all times and never gets strong, hot, or silly. Luna is happy to hack alone and is confident in open spaces. She has been cross-country schooled, attended fun rides, and thoroughly enjoys a good canter along the beach.

She has also popped around small clear rounds and takes fillers and water in her stride, showing a genuine, willing attitude to her work.

Luna will make someone an amazing pony. She still has plenty of growing and filling out to do, making her an exciting prospect for the future.

COLBY

A proper stamp with a leg in each corner & 10” bone.

Owned since a foal and broken in by ourselves as a 3.5-year-old. He has always been a very manageable and accommodating type, with a loving, kind, and affectionate temperament.

He has hunted a full season with various packs, including drag, bloodhounds, and trail. He will hack out alone with no napping, spooking, spinning, bucking, bolting, or rearing, and is good in traffic and most importantly he stands quietly at the pub.!!

Colby will come off the lorry anywhere and remain calm and relaxed. He stands well at the meet, will queue for a fence, and is equally happy to lead. He is super bold and would make a serious Masters horse, but is also steady enough for a family share. Also rides and leads little pony’s !!

He has been on several riding holidays and fun rides with me last summer. We always do plenty of cross-country schooling with our horses, so he is excellent with ditches, banks, water, timber, and hedges.

He is a lovely, unspoilt five-year-old, produced slowly, and is now ready for his new home. We will all be very sad to see him go.

He would make a fabulous candidate for the mounted police.

Absolutely no vices.
No trials. No loans. No payment plans. No swaps. No novices. No happy hackers. No first time buyers. Proper hunting people or close, need apply.

USTON – Exceptional, Genuine All-Rounder

Uston was purchased by ourselves earlier this year after his previous owner felt he was simply too big. From the moment he arrived, we have completely fallen in love with him.

Despite his impressive size, he is an exceptionally easy and manageable horse who does not ride “big” or awkwardly in any way. He is well-balanced, comfortable, and far from the typical “giraffe” type often associated with larger horses.

Uston has a huge, scopey jump and is incredibly careful, giving his rider plenty of confidence without ever feeling unseating. He has three lovely paces and a good level of flatwork already established.

He will happily hack out alone all day long, remaining calm and sensible at all times. He never becomes hot, silly, or strong, and is a pleasure to ride in all situations.

He thoroughly enjoys his work and has proven himself to love hunting, showjumping, and cross-country, making him a versatile and exciting prospect for a variety of disciplines.

Please note, he does make a slight noise in his canter. This does not affect his work or his health in any way. If this is a concern, we kindly ask that you do not enquire.

Uston is a very special horse and will make someone extremely lucky.

No vices. Loads & travels well, comes up to you in the field, loves kisses and treats and baths and being spoilt. Super friendly and loving chap that will suit the whole family.

Rupert is a rising 5 year old, pure breed, Black, Irish draught gelding. Standing at around 17hh.

This is a very difficult sale of a truly one-in-a-million horse. Although we run a hunt hireling business, I do not want him to go down that route; he is simply too special, and I no longer need another horse in work. He deserves a one-to-one home where he will be someone’s priority. Fabulous over a hedge and feels you full of confidence.

I purchased his dam in foal with him in Ireland, and we have overseen every stage of his upbringing. He has been carefully raised, backed slowly and correctly at home, and produced with his long-term future in mind.

He has:
• Hunted lightly this season – an exceptional confidence-giver, never silly, and will jump whatever he is presented with. He has never lifted a leg, stands politely at the meet, stands on point, and will peel off and go home alone without any fuss. He also stands quietly on the lorry.
• Cross-country schooled extensively, seeing a wide variety of fences including ditches, timber, tyres, hedges, and combinations. He jumps in and out of water confidently and remains bold, genuine, and honest.
• Been on riding holidays, where he has proven extremely settled in new environments — relaxed, mannerly, and straightforward; he simply puts his head down and eats.
• A soft mouth, natural balance, and is responsive and straightforward to ride.
• Correct, expressive movement, making him an excellent grassroots eventing prospect with ample potential to progress.
• A natural enjoyment of the hunting field.

At home he is uncomplicated, mannerly, and has no stable vices. He is kind, willing, and has been a joy to produce. This decision has not been made lightly; he deserves a home where he can continue his education and fulfil his considerable potential.

He is a lovely young horse with the foundation, temperament, and ability to go far in the right hands.
