A straightforward, genuine mare who has hunted regularly with a variety of packs, including the Staff College Drag Hounds, Crawley and Horsham, Coakham Bloodhounds, OSB, Wessex Bloodhounds, and Surrey Union, so she is well-accustomed to different country. She is equally happy on a faster or slower day.

Mannerly, sensible, and knows her job inside out. Stands quietly at the meet, never excitable or strong, and goes all day without tiring. A true point-and-go type — careful, honest, and bold over a fence. Happy to lead or follow and queues politely at fences.

Over the summer she’s taken part in numerous cross-country clinics, riding holidays, beach rides, and fun rides. She’s a pleasure to take anywhere — relaxed, straightforward, and easy in every way.

Excellent to clip, catch, load, shoe, and travel. Hacks alone or in company and is 100% in traffic.

Clean limbs, no vices, and can be tried out on a day’s hunting. Delivery available.

A genuine, quality mare who will give her new owner many enjoyable days out this season and beyond.

All our horses are ridden by a variety of riders and are thoroughly proven across hunting, hacking, fun rides, beach rides, and holidays. We know our horses inside and out and take great pride in producing honest, well-mannered animals.

Quiet enough for the children or husband to hack. Pops a course of show jumps and loves her cross-country schooling. She’s taken part in numerous fun and hunt rides this summer and is just as happy going for a relaxed hack to the pub with the family.

A kind, affectionate mare who loves a fuss and is always waiting at the gate as soon as she sees you. She’ll stand all day to be bathed and plaited — a real yard favourite and a pleasure to have around.

Jim is a true out-and-out hunter who will confidently and willingly jump anything you put in front of him.

He’s had a busy summer enjoying fun rides, cross-country, and plenty of hacking, and has now started his hunting season this autumn. Hunting is clearly what he was made for — he’s an armchair ride with a leg in each corner, a naturally balanced and comfortable stride, and a light, responsive feel. He goes beautifully off the leg, is never silly or strong, and happily goes in a snaffle. Jim will pop over anything you ask and stands like a rock at the meet.

He’s equally enjoyable out hacking — completely reliable in all traffic and happy to go alone or in company. He stands quietly at the mounting block and is a pleasure to have around.

Good to clip (just requires a twitch for his ears), easy to catch, loves attention, and excellent with the farrier.
No vices, lumps, or bumps.

Jim would suit a capable, experienced young rider looking for a talented and straightforward hunting partner to bring on. Under saddle, he is exceptionally genuine, honest, and consistent — he has never put a foot wrong.

To save everyone’s time, please note that Jim will not suit an older rider looking for a quiet hack or a novice wanting a first horse. While he is kind, mannerly, and uncomplicated, he is still a young horse with plenty of ability and enthusiasm for his work.
