A genuine, straightforward mare who has hunted regularly with the Staff College Drag Hounds, Crawley and Horsham, Coakham Bloodhounds, OSB, Wessex Bloodhounds, and Surrey Union. Bold enough to field master or whip-in, and mannerly enough to make an excellent secretary’s horse. She’ll happily hunt anywhere in the field and is truly anybody’s ride.

Sensible, polite, and knows her job inside out. Stands quietly at the meet, never strong or excitable, and goes all day. Careful, honest, and bold to a fence — happy to lead or follow and queues beautifully. Never bothered about being left behind.

Polite enough to nanny small children, rides and leads, and unfazed by little legs, noise, or slower paces.

She’s also done cross-country clinics, riding holidays, beach rides, and fun rides, and is a pleasure to take anywhere. Hacks alone or in company, excellent in all traffic, and perfect to clip, catch, load, shoe, and travel. Clean limbs, no vices, and can be tried on a day’s hunting. Delivery available.

Quiet enough for children or a husband to hack, pops a course of show jumps, and loves her XC schooling. A kind, affectionate mare and a real yard favourite.

We are seeking a knowledgeable hunting home for her.

Jim is a true out-and-out hunter who will confidently and willingly jump anything you put in front of him.

He’s had a busy summer enjoying fun rides, cross-country, and plenty of hacking, and has now started his hunting season this autumn. Hunting is clearly what he was made for — he’s an armchair ride with a leg in each corner, a naturally balanced and comfortable stride, and a light, responsive feel. He goes beautifully off the leg, is never silly or strong, and happily goes in a snaffle. Jim will pop over anything you ask and stands like a rock at the meet.

He’s equally enjoyable out hacking — completely reliable in all traffic and happy to go alone or in company. He stands quietly at the mounting block and is a pleasure to have around.

Good to clip (just requires a twitch for his ears), easy to catch, loves attention, and excellent with the farrier.
No vices, lumps, or bumps.

Jim would suit a capable, experienced young rider looking for a talented and straightforward hunting partner to bring on. Under saddle, he is exceptionally genuine, honest, and consistent — he has never put a foot wrong.

To save everyone’s time, please note that Jim will not suit an older rider looking for a quiet hack or a novice wanting a first horse. While he is kind, mannerly, and uncomplicated, he is still a young horse with plenty of ability and enthusiasm for his work.
