Streamstown Ecros “River” is a beautifully marked 3 year old Irish cob mare, currently standing at 15.2hh with more growing still to do. She is a type that is getting hard to find.

River is an eye catching traditional type, marked like a map with plenty of presence and potential. She came directly from Ireland just a few months ago, having been lightly handled and halter broken, and has since taken everything in her stride while settling into our daily routine.

She has been allowed to grow and mature naturally, and has proven herself to be a genuine and willing youngster who is easy to have around. River is happy living in or out, gets on well with others in the herd, and has settled well into a fairly busy yard environment.

River has been bathed and introduced to the hose pipe, regularly groomed, turned out and caught easily in the field daily and had her feet trimmed without fuss.

River is genuinely untried and unspoiled, and will thrive with someone experienced and confident who understands how to bring on a young horse with patience and a calm consistent approach. In the right hands she has masses of potential to become something very special.

River is up to date with worming and farrier and is passported with Leisure Horse Ireland.
