My Galway Man (Tom) has been with us for almost 3 years and has taken my daughter from her 14.2 pony to competing successfully at BE , with lots of fun along the way.
He is totally chilled out and laid back and has enjoyed ODE’S, 3DE’S, PC rallies, stay away shows, camps and clinics , fun rides, and Hunting , we are lucky enough to have wonderful hacking on our doorstep and Tom loves to regularly hack alone or in company.
He has successfully competed across all disciplines from representing our Pony club regularly , qualifying individually in 2022 and 2024 for PC National Championships being placed in top 13 individually on both occasions.
Having successfully competed at BE , Toms real true love is xcountry where he is bold, confident and experienced, always looking for the flags and taking care of his rider, crossing the finish line having had a wonderful time.
He qualified for and competed at Bicton 3DE in 2023, where he thrived on all sections coming home clear and inside the time as usual.
With his racing background, he is registered ROR and was shortlisted for ROR Most Versatile Horse of the Year 2023, being a true family all rounder with my 18year old eventing him, 16 and 13 year old hacking him and mum taking him to riding club.
Although thoroughbred (sire Danehill Dancer , Dam Dream Valley by Saddlers Wells), he is very solid , level headed and not strong or silly, he is low maintenance and will happily have a few days off and behave beautifully when ridden again . He is excellent to clip, shoe and travel, always skipping up the ramp and will stand for the vet and is perfect in traffic, with bikes and dogs etc out hacking on the common. He will happily stand at the lorry enjoying his hay whilst out at events.
We know his history and background from when he initially competed CIC* and Novice , and we have always been in touch with his previous owners who are always keen to know what he is up to with us.
This is a very very sad sale, as Tom is much loved and has turned his hand to everything we have asked, but A levels are now taking more of my daughter’s time, so sadly we are looking for a long term home, which would offer lots of hacking and turnout with either a teenager looking to do low level eventing or an adult “all rounder” riding club home .
Please do call me for a chat about Tom if you are interested in knowing more about him, he is a total star and finding the best home for him is of most importance.
Lots of videos , photographs, equireels and instagram posts, references available and will be requested in turn.
Tom comes with his full wardrobe.
