DOLLEY PHANTOM “Alice”

Finding a genuine 4* horse who is kind and straightforward enough to be ridden by a 16-year-old is incredibly rare. Alice is exactly that horse.
Alice is a Grade 1 event mare with 182 British Eventing points and an impressive international record. She competed successfully at 4* and Nations Cup level, with career highlights including 4th place at Bramham CCI-S4*, 19th in the Houghton CCIO4*-NC-S Nations Cup and numerous wins and placings from BE100 through to Intermediate and Open Intermediate. Having now stepped down permanently from high-level eventing, she has been enjoying life as a much-loved dressage schoolmistress for my daughter.
She is truly stunning to ride. Alice is light and soft in the contact, responsive to the leg, naturally balanced and extremely easy to move around. She is established at Medium level and has competed successfully at Advanced Medium, performing all of the lateral work and advanced movements beautifully. Her changes are there and offered willingly, although they would benefit from a little more polishing to become consistently clean behind. She is incredibly eager to please and gives her rider a wonderful feeling.
Her most recent Dressage Ireland outings with my daughter have been at Elementary level, where she won both of her 2026 Northern Region Summer League classes with scores of 66% and 66.94%. She would make an exceptional dressage schoolmistress for a capable teenager or amateur wanting to learn on a horse who already knows her job.
Alice also absolutely loves to jump and schools happily around a 1.20m track. She is bold, straight and genuine, with no napping, spooking or stopping. She has also recently enjoyed competing at BE90 and BE100 in England and would be extraordinarily competitive for an ambitious amateur or teenager wanting to event at those levels. She has all the experience to teach her rider the ropes and is more than capable of putting you at the sharp end of the leaderboard after the dressage phase.
Her temperament is every bit as impressive as her competition record. She is easy to handle, load, travel, shoe and clip, and will stand quietly on the horsebox or lorry even when left alone. She is equally happy in company or on her own, hacks alone and in company, and is not spooky or silly. I am exceptionally particular about the horses I trust with my precious daughter, and Alice has ticked every box.
This is a genuine and very sad sale only because my daughter has decided to give up riding, and Alice is far too talented and special to be standing in the yard. She is now looking for a permanent, loving home with a capable competitive teenager wanting a genuine schoolmistress, an amateur wanting to be seriously competitive in eventing, or a dressage rider looking for a beautiful and experienced partner with plenty still to offer.
Alice really is the ultimate all-rounder: talented, kind, beautifully educated and completely genuine. She deserves a home where she will continue to compete, have fun and be treasured as much as she has been with us.
