DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Homebred by Golden Master. Due to lack of time and young horses coming through we are looking for someone to loan ideally on site at our base in North Bristol - easy access, incredible hacking and schooling facilities on site.

15 yrs young and physically feeling better than ever. Push button horse sensitive to the smallest of changes, knows his job inside out up to medium and would suit someone wanting to be competitive up to this level. Still establishing changes.

Ideally would stay in our private yard in his current routine - all daily jobs covered so would suit someone who is struggling to find time to do it themselves. Cost of this is covered - loaner would just need to cover the cost of his upkeep ie hay, shavings, shoes etc.

Training available on site with a GP dressage rider. Happy for him to come on our lorry to events with just cost of fuel or hire our small 3.9 tonne to take him out solo.

He is a very special character and has been with the family for 15 years. We are hoping to find him who will love and enjoy him as much as we do! Serious enquiries only.

Daisy is an Irish Sports horse with excellent breading, with Clover Hill on the dam side and Cruising on the sires side. She is a well mannered, straight forward horse to ride and easy to do, happily lives in or out.

We've had Daisy since a 5 year old, she was bred in Ireland before making her way to the UK.

She is established on the flat schooling with three lovely paces and flying changes both ways. She is good to hack alone or in company and has completed farm rides with XC fences.

Daisy isn't a novices ride, therefore please no beginners. She is a great fun horse, very pretty and a general good allrounder - very versatile little horse, which could turn her hand to anything!

Unfortunately for loan with a view to ideally buy for the right person as rider has gone to university in and will not have the capacity/ time to give to Daisy.

Up to date with vaccinations, teeth, worming etc. Good to box, shoe & travel.

Located very close to Manchester Airport with facilities at home to try Daisy. Call Natalie on 07837516603 for more details.

*** AVAILABLE NOW! MAY ALSO CONSIDERING LOANING THE MARE ***

For sale from a private home and through no fault of her own, a 15.2-15.3 hh lovely well bred Weatherby's registered National Hunt Thoroughbred ex racehorse proven broodmare with colt foal at foot. Foal born June 2024.

Sire of foal is Josie Jump who is a true superstar of a Grade 1 Connemara stallion. He has won in multi disciplines at top level both in Ireland and in the U.K. Photo included in this advert.

He has a superb temperament that is passed on to his offspring and he is loved by all. See the link below for more information. Other videos can be found via a Google search.

https://sportpony.org.uk/josie-jump.shtml

The foal is sure to make a fantastic all rounder competition large sports pony / small sports horse. He already shows incredible movement and stability. He has a bold engaging and playful character. He has already seen some machinery and is used to lots of everyday yard and household sights and sounds, dogs and different people.

The foal has been microchipped and will be passported and registered. He will be eligible for British Connemara classes.

The mare is clean limbed, has nice movement and has no health issues! She is barefoot and has good hooves which are regularly professionally trimmed. She is up to date with all her vaccines, her teeth are professionally rasped regularly and is up to date with a worming and testing programme.

She has produced 4 previous foals plus this year's Connemara cross TB foal. The previous two were born within the last 4 years and are big boned strong Thoroughbreds with beautiful temperaments.

Photos include this mare with her current foal. The last photo is of the stallion Josie Jump.

Please see the attached videos. Click on the "videos" link beneath this description.

If you are interested in producing great sports pony or horse foals this very well bred national hunt mare is the one for you.

She is an excellent broodmare. She takes first time both naturally and via AI, foals easily and is a good mum.

She has a sweet nature, good to handle and travels really well but is not to be ridden. She is better to be a mum!

She can happily be paddocked with mares and geldings. Must be kept with other horses.

Please only genuinely experienced owners for this mare and foal, that can provide evidence of a truly 5 star loving home.
