118cm Dartmoor gelding. Harry had been a wonderful pony for my daughter but sadly she won’t stop growing so we’ve made the hard decision that he needs to find a new jockey to win sashes for.

Just missed qualifying for hoys last year by 1 mark at the last qualifier as we had only just collected him that week.

He knows his job well and thrives on it. Easily qualified RI and placed well in the few hoys he has done this year. He was 4th at hoys before we got him.

Never sick or sorry. No plugs or calmers. Great at big county shows in buzzy atmospheres.

He has won many sashes and supremes with us and would not be for sale if our daughter wasn’t as tall.

The ponies I would love to hear about are those not needing to be advertised to secure a new home. There is no harm in finding out whether I know of a better home and match. Perhaps you worry about your child finding it upsetting seeing their old pony regularly at rallies etc - then selling out of area could be a better solution.

These are motivated buyers receiving guidance as to what will likely suit their child - not the timewasters regularly reported. In most cases homes are also knowledgeable: simply lacking in time to conduct a search themselves. Most will also wait for the right pony so if you are not ready to sell yet - that is not an issue.

Poppins Sandstorm – “Ted”

A very special little pony who has been part of our family since he was three. Ted has given us so much fun and is now looking for his next little person to go out and enjoy him.

Ted is a genuine Pony Club all-rounder and has turned his hoof to pretty much everything – Pony Club rallies and camp, showjumping, cross-country, mounted games, fun rides, beach rides and hacking across the moors.

He is happily jumping 60cm courses, has competed 50cm XC and has jumped 1m in Chase Me Charlie. Most recently, he competed at the Pony Club Mini Championships at Bicton, jumping two lovely clears in the 40cm unassisted and finishing 33rd in a class of 100.

He hacks alone and in company, is definitely more kick than whoa. He’s the sort you can have lots of fun with without needing to ride him every day.

Ted is handled daily by a 9-year-old and is good to catch, load, travel, for the farrier and dentist. He is a proper child’s pony who enjoys being fussed over and being part of family life.

He is by Weston Distinction, a Royal Welsh winner, and we have remained in contact with his breeder throughout the time we have owned him.

This is a genuinely heartbreaking sale as Ted has been with us for five years, so finding the right home is incredibly important. We would love to see him go to another Pony Club family where he can continue doing a bit of everything and become another child’s best friend.

Buttons is a lovely 4-year-old registered New Forest pony, standing at approximately 12.2hh. Backed earlier this year, he is a sweet, genuine pony with a fantastic temperament and a bright future ahead of him.

He is easy to handle and a pleasure to have around. He lives happily in or out, ties up well, loads into a trailer and is good for the farrier. Currently barefoot, he has no vices and is a very sweet-natured little pony.

Under saddle, Buttons rides nicely on the flat and is always ridden in a snaffle. He happily hacks alone or in company and is proving to be a careful, bold and brave little jumper. He takes everything in his stride, is unfazed by fillers.

Kilnstown Foxglove 9yr old Buckskin Welsh A mare.

This hasn’t been an easy decision but with the loss of my horse and my 4 yr old child not being interested it is time to look for a new home for her.

She is a cracking little pony, who I am reluctant to let go. She takes a little time to trust, but once she does she becomes the sweetest little thing. But until then you will get the mare stare.

We have been out lead rein showing, working hunter, showjumping all season and to an xc course and hired off road hacking.

She always places and is foot perfect at shows, I take her solo and she is amazing. Stands on the trailer perfect and ties up next to it with no bother, I don’t need to think about her when dealing with my daughter. Loads every time, occasionally takes a few minutes but normally walks straight on.

When my little one loses her balance she will throw her head up and slow straight down, when she fell off she then did the slowest smoothest trot ever and wouldn’t speed up till she knew she had balance again.

She has been out off the lead rein with the local hunt, she was happy to sit at the back and walk trot, canter as needed. But doesn’t like being in the mix, she has to sit on the outskirts.

We have been off road hacking with me riding and she was happy to follow another horse, but won’t take the lead mostly due to lack of experience as I have only used her as a lead rein pony.

She has been on the lead rein around xc courses, done a few small logs she just has to look at them first.

Hundreds of photos of my child riding bareback, hands in the air singing, in dresses, carrying a teddy and just being a 4 yr old!

If something truly scares her and she has a child on board she freezes and won’t budge, the 2 times this has happened i took the child off walked her past it and let her spook and that was it done! Chucked the child back on and carried on, never spooked at again!

Bad points - she is sassy, if you want a pony your little one can run up and hug she probably isn’t for you, she tolerates it but isn’t keen! But saying that as she bonded with my little one she got better, I have pictures of her being led by my child however my child isn’t at the yard enough and doesn’t spend any time with her. But with older kids she is always happy to give attention, but tells them when she is done. I don’t think she ever be a 24-7 cuddly pony, but she will on her terms.

She doesn’t lunge, she hates it I don’t know what has happened but she doesn’t lunge. She was getting better but lack of time has stopped me lunging.

She doesn’t like horses up her bum, she has kicked once, I put a red ribbon on and don’t put her in the scenario of horse up her bum. Never kicked with little one on, but equally she is a sassy Welsh buckskin mare!

She has been lead off a really chilled out gelding and was perfect, but we have only tried this once with no rider.

Traffic - yard traffic absolutely fine, I have lead her down a busy road in company and she was fine with no rider but I cannot say she is 100% as I don’t have anyone to take her out with and the roads are ridiculous by us so I won’t put anyone at risk.

She has done off the lead rein with an older rider, she can be stubborn but goes nice when ridden off the lead regularly. But she is a true lead rein in the sense ahead looks for her leader, it’s her safe place, but she will step up to assisted.

That being said with the ride lead rein child, and time I fully believe she will go off the lead rein with a child. My own daughter who hardly rides has managed to ride her away from me, but she would need consistency.

He has jumped up to 120cm single fences at home but has been building his confidence around tracks of 80-90cm and has absolutely eaten them up. Showing willing and genuinely getting better and braver each time out.

He schools nicely on the flat in all 3 paces a super all round pony working hunter will turn his hoof to anything. Deenie (Houdini) is a beautiful mare who is a pleasure in all ways. Shes had an easier life than most, spent hacking , fun rides and lead rein teaching younger siblings to ride.

Deenie is forward and can be buzzy out hacking and specially when jumping! So she needs a kid who wants to have fun and on the braver side, she doesn’t do anything wrong just gets fast and can get strong but always stoppable!

She’s fantastic on the roads , used to farm machinery and not been spooky at all with us! I would say she’s super safe! Although she is super Scopey and enjoys jumping, this is something she hasn’t done much of! She’s Just started that career with us, so please don’t message if you’re wanting the perfect jumping pony!

Schooling she is as chilled as you could want and would take a baby around. I really think she would be fantastic at hunting or cross country. She really is a pony who you can do everything with. So easy to handle, lives on air, bare foot and happily lives out, she’s up to date with everything!
