I have motivated clients looking for genuine, kind, quality and proven ponies to take part in all Pony Club activities.

The ponies I would love to hear about are those not needing to be advertised to secure a new home. There is no harm in finding out whether I know of a better home and match. Perhaps you worry about your child finding it upsetting seeing their old pony regularly at rallies etc - then selling out of area could be a better solution.

These are motivated buyers receiving guidance as to what will likely suit their child - not the timewasters regularly reported. In most cases homes are also knowledgeable: simply lacking in time to conduct a search themselves. Most will also wait for the right pony so if you are not ready to sell yet - that is not an issue.

There are some decent budgets available relative to age and medical conditions etc.

Archie is a 16-year-old, 126.5cm gelding with a proven track record. This super-friendly pony is full of character and has a heart of gold. He is the ultimate confidence giver for a child aiming to jump clear rounds and win.

He has a hugely impressive bsja record with 9 consecutive clears but still only JC with 195 points.

Archie is multi disciplined, successfully turning his hoof to show jumping, cross country, hunting, and is also a fantastic race pony. He’s bold, honest, and loves his job, with plenty of scope to step up and comfortably jump 128 winter classes but versatile enough to step right down to trot around cross pole classes as he has recently done with a 4-year-old.

He can spot a vet from afar and needs sedation for certain treatments, but he is not nasty and remains very manageable in a knowledgeable, understanding home.

Archie is a genuine yard favourite who will only be sold to the right home where he can continue to shine and bring joy to his next little rider.

Meet Sparrow, a very well-bred and registered Section A pony with a kind, loving nature and a real enjoyment for having a job to do.

He is a very sweet pony who is nicely schooled, enjoys his jumping, and absolutely loves hacking. Sparrow has been ridden by a range of abilities and is happiest with a child who has a longer, more secure leg. He wouldn’t suit a very wobbly toddler/small rider, as he can get a little nervous with unbalanced riders, but he thrives with a more confident jockey.

Sparrow can be slightly spooky out hacking, but nothing silly, and he’s improving all the time. At shows he can get a little excited, and has thrown a rather lively buck, though this is getting better with each outing.

He is easy to handle on the ground – loads well in both lorry and trailer, stands happily for bathing, and has been clipped without issue. He is also up to date with vaccinations.

He has taken an inexperienced rider from jumping unaffiliated to 90cm BS with numerous placings. He has done all pony club activities, NSEA and BS Academy teams, hacks by himself or with company.

His record speaks for itself and he really knows his job, with the kindest temperament and easy to do in all ways. Excellent trial facilities at Hascombe Farm.

‘Bear’ 13h Dun Welsh Sec C Mare

We purchased Bear last summer as a recently backed project for our teenage daughters to produce, both experienced riders. Over the last 10 months She has been very much part of our busy family and loved by everyone. Bear has been produced slowly and correctly with the support of professional riders. She is a kind, sensitive and affectionate pony - very ‘un-mareish’ in her manner.

Bear hacks nicely in company and alone, has done lots of pony club rallies, hound exercising, fun rides, farm rides, arena hires and attended her first SJ competition where she produced 2 lovely clear rounds and placed in both classes.

Bear is still early in her ridden career so takes confidence from her rider and will need an experienced & knowledgable home in order to continue her education and achieve her full potential. We believe she will go very far with the right partner.

Bear has a Welsh pony brain, so can be nervous in new situations/ environments and spook from time to time. She is never nasty - no kicking, biting, bucking, rearing or tanking off. She is happy to live in or out (currently stabled at night, out during the day) and will live with mares or geldings.

She’s great to catch, load and is bare foot (good for farrier). We have only clipped her once and took our time, using quiet cordless clippers and she was a good girl.

We are all incredibly fond of Bear and are happy to wait in order to find her the perfect home and new best friend.

Probably not a first pony although has stepped down for younger less experienced riders. Perfect for a child looking for a safe, fun and eye-catching Pony Club pony who can go out and enjoy showjumping and all-round activities.

Very sadly outgrown.

Passed 5 stage vetting June 2025. No issues since then.
