Great mover

Will be a super fun pony.

She’s a chunky monkey and is a proper little weight carrier

Super Allrounder / Hunt Cob

Hercules is an 8yo coloured gelding standing approx. 14.1hh who has been in the same home most of his life.

He is very low mileage having mainly been used for hacking and had a couple of days hunting and has been used as a mother/daughter share.

He is fantastic in traffic, is good alone or in company and is happy to go first or last. He is also not a pony that needs to be ridden every day and is the same whether he is ridden every day or once a week. He is also fantastic in open spaces and doesn’t get strong or silly.

He’s been with us previously and has done a variety of schooling, hacking, jumping and trail hunting. After leaving us on schooling livery last year he has been used for hacking, some lessons and done a small amount of hunting but not been in consistent work due to owner’s commitments.

He is still green in the school but has been a quick learner and is always wanting to please you. He is nicely forward going and not a complete plod and responsive to your leg aids. Hercules has also popped over some small showjumps with us and think that as his confidence grows he will have a good jump in him.

He’s attended some Club jumping for his first show where he was impeccably behaved. He was good to load, travelled great and was super easy to deal with at the show. He was very willing and jumped a super round for his first full course too.

He has enjoyed a couple of days out hunting with us and his owner. He stands politely at the meet and will go and stop with the field. Equally when I wanted to leave to hack home he walked away from everyone with no fuss and was good as gold.

Everything he has done he has been snaffle mouth and he is good for the farrier, vet, clip and catch and has no vices. He is good to handle and lead etc but can be a little nervous of new people.

We think he could do anything from being a happy hacker to hunting pony to allrounder and could be a mother/daughter share too. Due to him being a little green and taking his confidence from the rider he isn’t suitable for a nervous novice.

The owner is asking £6,500 however open to sensible offers for a quick sale to the right home and he is based near Cullompton (10mins from J27 of the M5).

Please contact Natalie referring ‘Hercules’ on 07508039177 or the HQ Equestrian Facebook page for any additional questions, pictures/videos or to arrange a viewing.

Seamie is a truly wonderful, well built sturdy gentleman who is light on his feet, with a heart of gold and plenty of talent.

A traditional Irish pony, who’s participated in all pony club activities with the Meath pony club in Ireland. Extremely experienced out hunting and has several seasons with the Meath hunt under his belt, he will take on the widest of ditches and biggest if hedges without a blink, he is sure footed and totally reliable in the field.

A machine cross country, very brave, honest and reliable. Competed ODE, Hunter trials, pairs jumping.
Would be ready for a BE career.

Seamie rides well in the school with attractive paces, great balance and a comfortable canter. Will turn a hoof in the show ring too with some training.

Competed SJ competitions at 80/90cm level. Has a bold jump and a forgiving nature, a great technique and naturally careful. Certainly would affiliate BS and be a super fun pony to produce further and put your own stamp on for BN/ Discovery classes.

Very good to hack, alone and in company, in open spaces and all types of traffic.

A real one in a million, very special, super-cob pony.

Brave and bold little mare, she is forgiving if her jockey makes the odd mistake, not spooky in the slightest and always comes out with the same can do attitude.

She hacks beautifully both alone and in company in all traffic.

Before purchasing, Ria had been soley backed and produced by a child, they spent hours hacking across the hills together.

She is an absolute saint to handle on the ground. Not mareish at all.

Would be best suited to a competent child looking for a fun all round pony.

Good to shoe, box, catch, clip etc

Gem – 13.2 5 year old Welsh pony mare.

Gem is a super quiet easy-going mare, great to hack alone or in company and a real leg in each corner type. She’s a pretty pony with 4 white socks and a pretty head and I think she would go far as a ridden type or just to be someone’s best friend!

She’s very easy to do in all ways – farrier, load catch, groom, bath ect. Absolutely no vices. She’s very well handled and not mareish at all. This pony is going to be a very suitable kids/ small teenagers pony club pony. She’s not naughty or silly but does need furthering in her education which unfortunately I don’t have the time for.

She’s a very confident hacker and has been around farm rides and has jumped in the arena. She’s mannerly in open spaces and is willing to work in a correct outline just needs establishing more.

Gem’s sale is through no fault of her own and I would really like a home for her to flower in.

Echo is a lovely 12'3hh Dartmoor pony, brought off Dartmoor a few years ago.

Gorgeous roan colour with white markings she really stands out.

Exact age not know but vet aged around 12. The easiest and friendliest pony to handle will follow you around like a dog just loves attention.

Always been perfect with farrier, happy in or out on her own or with company. Lives on fresh air just has feet trimmed every so often. Brought as a short term project and weve all fallen in love but now needs a home to give her the time and attention she loves.

Will stand all day for cuddles, used to tractors, machinery, bikes, livestock, dogs ect.

Has mainly been ridden by a small adult so will need an experienced home to continue her education, however has had children on board around field and lanes and always been perfectly behaved.

She has not been out and about but weve put in the work to get her used to loading and short trips in the trailer and always been easy to travel.

Will make a lovely child's pony, snaffle mouthed and been popping small jumps at home and never phased by bright poles or fillers. Very chilled hacking out on dartmoor.

She now needs a little child to give her all the attention she deserves.

Whilst beeing out on dartmoor has bred some lovely foals so could also make a lovely broodmare.

Not far from Plymouth, open to offers as unfortunately dont have the time for her, will come with all tack and rugs.

Red is a fun forward registered Welsh D. Deep chestnut coat which almost glows red at this time of year. Nice markings. Would look good in the show ring.

Has nice paces in the school and would do a good test.

Loves jumping and clears 1m easily. Has a 5th gear and can turn on the speed.

Hacks alone and in company. Excellent in heaviest traffic. Regularly hacks around Richmond Park. Great in open spaces.

Is super easy to handle. Kind and gentle and lovely to groom. Stands nicely at mounting block. Easy to clip and load. Great with farrier and dentist. Up to date with jabs and worming. Happy to be stabled or turned out. If stabled does need access to daily turnout.

Responsive ride not a kick along.

Can be sharp so absolutely no novices. Not bothered by heaviest of traffic but typical Welsh snorts at new things and takes confidence from his rider.

In regular work. Fit and ready to go. Would suit PC/jumping/hunting

Beautiful 10 year old grey pony standing at 13.2 hands. We have had the absolute pleasure of Princess for four years and she has given my daughter so much joy and confidence.

It is a very reluctant sale to see her go but my daughter has sadly outgrown her. She has been a mothers dream for a first pony and has taken my daughter so far.

This talented pony loves to jump 40cm-1m and has had a successful show record at unaffiliated shows and has schooled round all the larger British eventing xc fences always giving her best.

She turns her hoof to flat work, cross country, trail hunting, hacking out and is super safe on the roads in groups of others or individually, also a pleasure to ride on the beach and bareback.

Princess has never shown any vices on or off the ground. She is super easy to load, shoe, clip and gets along well with others in the field. Don't miss the chance to own this fantastic pony that is sure to bring joy to her next jockey.

Can be seen and tried in Great Hallingbury, Hertfordshire.

Great mother daughter share or all round low level pony.

Levi has been with me since a 3 year old, I’ve primarily hacked him and done a little bit of low level dressage and showjumping. He has also had some professional schooling, he will jump a course of 80cm, working at elementary level dressage and has done farm rides. He hasnt done much xc but when he has seen solid fences he jumps them !! He is most forward in open fields, slightly steadier kick along in the arena.

He is great to do in all ways , will live in or out, be out alone or in company, he isn’t needy and this is the reason he’s stuck around with me for so long as he’s so easy to have around.

Levi is a true low level riding club , happy hacking pony. He will accelerate but also go steady. He can have some fun, would have a buck if he got a bit whizzed up by his rider, but with his older rider he has never done this. For this reason I do not think Levi is best suited to a first pony home or beginner , Levi will teach his rider, or happily be a happy hacker. Being pushed in the arena and drilled on the flat is not his thing, yes he would take you around a dressage test, but please don’t apply to try Levi if you want him to be the next competition superstar - he much prefers a canter up a hill than 50 mins of hard flatwork in the arena!

Hacking he’s great, he will go alone or in company, he can be a little clingy to others when in a group but nothing putting your legs on won’t sort. He has been hacked out by kids and adults.

This is a truly honest advert as I’d like to find the perfect home for Levi as he is wasted with me as my priority is with my show horses and producing them, he’s the fun all round pony I just don’t have the time for. He’s good to shoe, tie up, clip, trim up, travel, fully vaccinated, teeth up to date.

If you like the sound of Levi please give me a call, he has to have his family or person out there to give him lots of love and attention.

Levi is a super bold gelding with a passion for jumping, he will turn his hoof to anything. Not afraid of fillers or XC fences and we suspect has a history of hunting.

We bought Levi for our riding school back in November however unfortunately he is not the novice ride we had hoped he would be and would be better suited to a 1:1 with someone that wants to go out an have some fun.

He is extremely easy to do on the ground, great to catch, groom, tack up, clip etc. Levi will hack in company and we are situated on a busy main road where we are regularly exposed to articulated vehicles which he is completely unfazed about.

Levi will hack alone but can be nappy however we do not do this often and I'm sure if he did this more regularly it wouldn't be a problem. Levi has recently been vetted but unfortunately will not pass flexion tests which reflects in the price.

However don't let this put you off, this pony still has a lot of life left in him and loves his ridden work.

He also recently passed the riding school vet check and was found suitable to be ridden. He is a really fantastic pony for a more experienced rider to enjoy, he is currently ridden by a 16yo girl who absolutely loves him.

Levi will thrive in a home where he can bond with one person and carry on enjoying his jumping.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Charlie is green and can be forward going, therefore not a novice ride at current.

I believe Charlie would be a great child’s pony once more is done with her!

Selling due to buying for my niece and her losing interest!

Nibbles is a lovely quiet and easy pony. Can be handled by children, stands to be groomed and fussed all day.

She is good to school, hack, jump and would go on or off the lead reign. Good in open spaces and never strong or silly she’s Off your leg and easy to stop!

Would make a fantastic hunting pony as so safe and genuine. Would turn her hoof to anything.

Easy to have and doesn’t need riding regularly.

Currently sold from field at a lower price, can be lunged during viewing etc but will not be this price when back in work. Has been out of work since the end of last year purely because I struggled to find the time between my competition horses and our broodmare/youngstock operation

I produced Oreo from a 3 year old as an event pony and he was absolutely awesome but just before entering his first BE competition as a 4 year old he suffered a tendon injury in a fluke stable incident in October 2021. He had corrective surgery at Oakham Hospital and no expense was spared on his treatment. He has since recovered absolutely fine and has been back in work schooling/cantering/hacking etc with no problems and stayed sound and happy throughout.

He would be great for someone who wants a bubbly pony to have fun on and have a little best friend. Would suit a small adult or competent teenager as he’s a forward ride. Never nasty or naughty just a proper welshie that loves his job

If no one suitable is found he will stay with us forever but I would love for him to have his own person and not be wasted as a companion to my baby horses that occasionally gets ridden when I have the time

Good to bath/clip/travel/with farrier etc. Socialised well with other horses and has has been the nanny/best friend to my 2 year old since he was a foal.

Takes leg well, for reference I’m 5’2 and 53kg. He’d be fine for someone taller than me but I wouldn’t like to see anyone much heavier than myself on him purely due to his size.

No vices/issues. No lumps/bumps/injuries aside from injury mentioned above. Open to 2 stage or 5 stage vetting however not sure if he’d pass a 5 stage due to previous injury hence price. Did pass 5 stage vetting November 2020 when I purchased him

For further photos/videos/info please contact me on 07736 692845

Please note he will not be sold to just anyone and please be prepared to send videos demonstrating your riding ability

He has always been super straightforward to bring back into work like he’d never had any time off, usually a few days of lunging/long reining and I’m back on him like we never stopped. However, no guarantees are made on how he will be as it is very dependent on the experience and capability of the person doing it. If you don’t have the experience/knowledge please don’t enquire
