Calippo is a stunning 11-year-old chestnut gelding with an impeccable temperament and serious talent. British-bred with outstanding bloodlines, he is by Castello III Z out of a Dundee mare – the line that includes Michael Whitaker’s legendary Didi. His pedigree features showjumping royalty such as Capitol, Heartbreaker, and Cassini, making him a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious amateur or young rider.

This much-loved horse has been in the same private home for many years, and this is a truly reluctant sale.

Jumping & Performance
Calippo has competed successfully with an amateur rider, with £199 in British Showjumping winnings and 199 points, jumping confidently up to Foxhunter level (1.20m). In just three recent outings, he’s placed 2nd twice in Newcomers and jumped a clear and 4 faults in his Foxhunter debut.

Rideability & Temperament
He is a true gentleman under saddle – well-schooled on the flat, established changes, and ridden in a snaffle both at home and in competition. Calippo is very easy to ride to a fence, maintains a lovely rhythm, and gives his rider great confidence.

He has also been X/C schooling and took everything in his stride, showing boldness and trainability across disciplines.

Excellent to manage on the ground, both at home and away at shows.
