Teddy is a charming 2-year-old 12hh chestnut native gelding who’s looking for a knowledgeable and loving home to continue his development. Brought to Blue Cross from a private owner as a minimally handled colt, Teddy has come a long way in a short time. He’s shown great potential as a future ridden or showing pony and thrives with regular, calm handling.

Since his arrival, Teddy has made impressive progress in his training. He’s now good to catch, leads well, and enjoys being groomed – even leaning in to show you where he wants a scratch! He is still learning about the world, so benefits from patient, consistent handlers who can build his confidence when he’s unsure. He's good with his feet, vet, and farrier (with some reassurance), and is loading well with ongoing travel training.

Due to his recent castration, Teddy is currently living in a gelding-only herd and should be matched with other young or tolerant horses who can handle his playful personality. He’s a social and tactile pony who is becoming more settled by the day in a structured environment.
