15.1hh Irish HW Blagdon cob gelding 4 yrs
A lovely young cob who is going to make a super fun all rounder, hunter, technically coloured so could show in coloured classes, poss show cob; he’s got a big frame to fill! He’s a real jack of all trades type and will do any job well and give loads of fun.
Duncan has recently come over from Ireland and is a keen to please but is still green and learning about life daily. He now needs his own human and some one to one attention in order to flourish in to the super cob he will be. He is riding well in all paces both in the school and out hacking alone and in company and he oves his jumping. He is the model of a hunting cob and has been out with us on hound exercise and behaved impeccably, jumped everything asked and is steady but not dead to ride, he kept up easily with the drag hounds. In the school he is a very good mover and has three naturally balanced paces. He is learning to work on the bridle and going very sweetly!
He’s not offended by a rider wobble but is not ready for a real novice home yet, in time he will be the most solid, steady chap but as his brain is so good he needs someone experienced currently. Duncan loves his jumping and has been schooling round a full set of coloured fences with us at 70-80cm. He’s been out to training shows with us and jumped round 70/80 away from home, he’s green but very genuine.
He’s very brave and doesn’t care about fillers, water trays or just about anything we have asked him to jump. He is a machine XC and just loves it, schooled round full BE 80 course and very brave and capable although still green, very straightforward . He is going to give someone a lot of fun!
Out hacking he is very sensible and happy to go alone or in company. He’s been good in all traffic met to date. He’s a lovely young cob who will be a real versatile all rounder.
To handle Duncan is easy but still learning about having lots of fuss. He’s good to catch, box, clip, feet trim (barefoot and feet like concrete!). He’s very much favourite here and is a lovely chap.
