Bertie FB - Stunning short coupled and athletic 16.3h rising 11 yrs gelding by Cassini x Corrado/ Nimmerdor.

Bertie has blown our socks off in the short time we’ve been getting to know him!! He is an out and out top drawer hunter, having not only shown perfect manners in the field in a snaffle, he hasn’t blinked following over serious Quorn hedges, gates, rails, ditches; he has also taken the lead to some seriously decent places, and Fieldmastered with The Warks. This season he’s been a regular on the Wynnestay, Heythrop & South Staffs fields, and is a superb horse for a bold rider to be keeping up with the best!!

Although low mileage in terms of competition CV, he has had some success at Open Workers including 2nd place in the Open qualifier at Stoneleigh, and dabbled a bit with low level eventing. Without wanting to call him a schoolmaster in these terms, he undoubtedly wants to have some more competitive fun in his summers!! He has boundless scope and quality, and careful as a cat!

Bertie is an absolute joy to have in the yard; gentle and loves fuss and attention. Great to hack, box, shoe and to hack.

He’d make not only a top class hunter in any pack, but he’d turn heads everywhere he goes! With his right partner, there is much joy to be had showjumping and eventing in his future too!
