Super pony club pony/ junior BS prospect suit confident child who wants a fun pony who loves his jumping.
Texas is a dude! He’s a lovely pony who has spent the past year in a local riding school being ridden by staff/ better children. He’s come to us as the school have too many ponies his size and he’s not a beginners pony as is forward thinking and likes to get on with his job. He’s just really good fun!
In the school he’s been well schooled and works sweetly on the bridle with a capable rider ( will go for a less capable rider too but not in a shape) and has three smart and active paces and a very good canter. He adores his jumping and is very brave and uncomplicated, taking his rider nicely in to a fence and sorting himself out when needed. He isn’t bothered by fillers, water trays or just about anything and I have been using him to teach my novice apprentice girl to jump round a course on.
He’s very much a cheeky pony at heart and a schoolmaster so will only go according to rider on board. He will jump round 80cm very comfortably with scope to go on and gives lots of confidence jumping making him an ideal pony for a keen child who wants to improve and learn to be competitive on, untapped pony BS potential.
He’s forward thinking and loves to work although will have the odd pony moment where he will have stop at the gate, if you tell him to get on with his job he will immediately but won’t suit a really novice or nervous kid ( he does nothing awful but riding school has taught him where the exit is! Once he has the measure of you he won’t even try it) He will be a super star in a pony club home where he’s kept busy and would best suit a gung ho child. He has plenty of scope for junior BS.
Texas loves his hacking and goes out alone and in company and he has been great in all traffic met to date with him. He will go first or last and isn’t a spooky pony.
Texas is easy in and out the stable, happy to live in or out in a mixed herd, he’s a kind pony who keeps himself to himself. He enjoys fuss and attention and is good to catch, box, shoe but a little nervous with the clippers round his legs and needs a bit of dope to do them. We think he’s awesome and will be a lot of fun for a competent competitive child.
Seen at livery. Will be out and about with us until sold.
