Super smart and super sweet!
Currently standing at 15h, 4 years old and a registered Connemara gelding this stunning chap has a ton of potential.
Quietly backed in the Spring after arriving from Ireland, Razzle has been very much enjoying hacking out, seeing the sights and learning what life is all about.
He always has a smile on his face with his work, he stands like an absolute saint at the mounting block every time and waits happily while you sort your pedals and knitting out, he leads the way very happily out hacking or doodles along behind and doesn’t even flick an ear when he is upsides another horse. He’s very happy to wait around patiently while you have a chat with the neighbours in the sunshine out on your hack, he canters happily in behind and doesn’t over react or rush if his friend gets a bit ahead of him, he just carries on his steady yet still forward thinking way!
One of his videos is of him having a jolly around the arena away from home (and having his first go over a few poles on the ground!) for the first time where he behaved impeccably with no spookiness whatsoever after hanging around patiently waiting while I did videos of his pal. He rides and leads extremely well without a thought in his head of pulling you around.
Razzle then had a couple of months off over the summer to chill out and came back into work gently in August taking it all in his stride. He has never been pushed in his education, he’s been given the time to progress and develop, he’s mainly hacked and has done very little in the school, allowing his frame to strengthen up. Videos are available from the very start of his education. Razzle works well on the long reins, even in an open field, he is good for the farrier to have his feet trimmed and he is great to catch and lead in from the field, either on his own or with another one. He doesn’t mind one bit if you turn all his friends out and leave him on his own on the yard or if you bring his friends in and leave him in the field on his own.

Obviously he’s green (he is allowed to be, he has just started his education) but he is a very kind chap who is more push than whoosh while still being responsive. He had his first step over a jump under saddle only today (17/09/26) and trotted over in a very kind and sweet way.
Razzle is happy living in or out, follows you round the field while you poo pick, ties up patiently on the yard for a groom and to tack up and loves a cuddle. He is a young man who likes to trust his human so a new partner with a sympathetic, confident and gentle hand is his ideal, someone who understands that to get the best out of a youngster they need time to understand and be shown the way and who is able to ride in a balanced and confident fashion allowing those big paces time to develop.
With all the basics of education in place without having rushed him (he’s had no gadgets on him nor has he been reeled into an unnecessary frame while his bones are developing) he’s the perfect blank canvas for someone to very much enjoy bringing on and getting to know and love him.
