Polo is quite simply one of the finest horses we’ve had the pleasure of offering.
A stunning 9-year-old French-bred gelding, standing at approximately 16.3hh, he has recently retired from racing, not through injury, but simply because he can no longer match the speed of the younger race horses. His retirement opens the door to what we believe will be an exceptional second career.
Polo has all the attributes to excel as a team chaser, show jumper, eventer, or dressage horse. He is an incredibly athletic, intelligent horse with a natural ability over fences, attacking every jump with confidence, power, and enthusiasm. In the right hands, he is an absolute gold nugget with enormous potential.
If we weren’t dedicated solely to racing, he would be staying with us to compete in eventing ourselves.
He has no vices, no sarcoids, and has an outstanding temperament. He has never unseated a rider, shows no badness whatsoever, and is a genuine pleasure to handle. He also loves hacking, especially trips to the beach where he truly comes alive.
Out of all the horses we’ve ever decided to let go, Polo is without doubt the flashiest and one of the most naturally talented. Horses like this don’t come along often.
