Ballyboe Blackie

Two year old black Irish cob gelding born 01/03/24. Currently standing at 14.1hh with plenty of growing and maturing left to do, expected to make around 15.1hh when finished.

Bally has recently arrived from Ireland where he had been living out in a mixed herd and had been allowed to grow and mature naturally. He hasn’t been over handled and is still very much a baby. He is the sort that wants to know you (and what sweets you’ve got in your pocket!) and is becoming more confident and affectionate each day.

He has had basic handling and is good to lead and tie up on the yard. He is happy living in or out, and has been turned out with mares and geldings. He settles well into a herd and is straightforward to catch.

He has been led around the farm and has seen farm machinery and traffic coming in and out. He has also seen dogs, donkeys, and all the usual activity around the yard. He leads quietly and is well mannered for his age.

No known health issues, lumps or bumps. Up to date with farrier and worming.

Bally would be a lovely prospect for someone looking for a genuine youngster to bring on from the ground and put their own stamp on. He has a willing attitude and should mature into a good sized versatile cob.
