Carnaville Ted - Ted is a super smart, kind and genuine 3 year old (10/04/23) Irish Cob gelding currently standing at 15.1hh with plenty of time left to mature and develop. He is a lovely young horse with a fantastic attitude and is already proving himself to be exceptionally sensible and willing for his age.

Ted was broken over the summer and has taken everything asked of him in his education completely in his stride. He has been ridden both alone and in company and has proved to be willing and straightforward. He is nicely responsive to the leg without being sharp or silly, and although he has only been in the school a handful of times, he will walk, trot and canter and pick up the correct canter lead. He is still very much a young horse who is learning, but he has a lovely attitude towards his work and is always keen to please.

Ted has been introduced to plenty of the sights and sounds of everyday life and is unfazed by farm machinery and traffic. He is not a spooky type and has a wonderfully level headed attitude, certainly an old head on young shoulders.

Ted is equally lovely to deal with from the ground. He is an easy going, uncomplicated horse to have around and is happy living in or out. He turns out happily in a mixed herd, is good to catch and stands patiently tied on the yard. He loads and travels perfectly on a trailer or wagon, we have frequently loaded up and took him and another horse out on the trailer and gone for a hack, and he is as easy to deal with as they come. He is polite and straightforward to handle and is the sort of horse who is a pleasure to have around on a daily basis.

Due to his age he wouldn’t be suitable for a complete novice or nervous rider at this stage. He would however be an exciting prospect for someone looking for a genuine young horse to continue producing and bring on, with the potential to develop into a super fun and versatile allrounder.

Ted has a lovely temperament, a fantastic attitude to work and a sensible head on his shoulders. He is the type of young horse that is hard not to like, and I have no doubt that with time and continued education he will make a superb allrounder and a very much loved horse for his next person.
