16.2hh 6 years ISH Dapple Grey Gelding by Ringfort Cruise X Coevers Diamond Boy

Super smart top end RC horse, dressage or grass roots event type.

Rory has spent the past 18 months with his very experienced owner ( equine vet) who bought him as an unbroken 5 year old and has slowly and carefully produced him. He is sadly for sale as she has two other event horses competing already at a much higher level and not enough time with work commitments to bring him on further. He has had a really good start and attended unaff both SJ and dressage and been XC schooling and been on some fun rides. He also hunted several times last season with the RMA Sandhurst and was a super star and has glowing references.

He is a lovely athletic type with three good uphill paces and a trainable brain. He loves his flat work and has basic lateral work established and a change. He has a scopey jump and is brave and genuine over a fence. He wouldn’t be the bravest at the moment out and about in the wild so needs a rider who will give him a bit of confidence, he isn’t nasty just a bit looky through greenness, he’s not sharp or silly just a bit looky. Rory would suit a rider who wants a really nicely started horse to make their own and wants to do a bit of everything. He will definitely with a bit more mileage make a super event horse or could continue down the dressage route or make someone a very smart hunter.

Rory is a nice friendly person in and out the stable, good to catch, box, clip but needs a bit of patience with the farrier and owner has cheated and given him some sedation for shoes, he’s not awful just a fidget and should grow out of this with a bit more practice and training.
