A beautiful, quality homebred mare with outstanding breeding, a superb temperament and the potential to excel in a variety of disciplines.
Bred by Faside Stud, Fleur was originally intended to be retained as part of our own dressage breeding programme. However, with a significant reduction in our numbers, we have reluctantly decided to offer her for sale.
Fleur is currently being professionally backed and ridden away in Northern Ireland and is proving an absolute pleasure to produce. Her rider describes her as “faultless throughout”, having recently ventured up the lanes for the first time without putting a hoof wrong.
She has an exceptional temperament, a lovely willing attitude and has taken everything asked of her in her stride.
Her sire, Fürsten-Look, is an exceptionally well-bred son of the renowned Fürstenball out of a Londonderry mare. He was champion at the 2014 Oldenburg licensing, achieved an outstanding dressage score of 9.41 in his performance test and went on to take bronze at the 2018 World Young Horse Dressage Championships for seven-year-olds.
Fleur combines these prestigious dressage bloodlines with a super stamp and an excellent temperament. Although bred for dressage, she could equally make a lovely working hunter or quality riding club all-rounder. She is the sort of versatile mare who could turn her hoof to a wide variety of activities.
Fleur is a later starter purely because she was originally intended to stay with us, rather than through any issues of her own. She is now progressing well with her professional education.
An opportunity to purchase a lovely mare at a more affordable price whilst she is still at the beginning of her ridden career. Her price will increase to reflect her ongoing training.
Please contact me directly as Fleur’s breeder for further information. I will be happy to put genuinely interested buyers in touch with her professional rider in Northern Ireland to discuss her progress and arrange a viewing.
