Charlie is a rising 6yo, 14.2h bay purebred Connemara gelding with three steady, rhythmic paces and a careful, scopey jump
He is extremely easy to ride in all ways. Never spooky, nervous, sharp or bold, always in a loose ring snaffle, and requiring very little leg to stay going
Charlie was purchased directly from his breeder as a 2yo and produced slowly and correctly by our team
Charlie stays trotting or cantering steadily without getting faster or lazy, making him a fun, easy ride for a kid learning to jump
His canter is extremely adjustable to a fence, no matter the height and he is not bothered by a rider error or bad distance
Charlie has an exceptional, consistent work ethic and is always willing to please. He loves going new places and is always focused and calm
He hacks quietly alone or in company, is quiet around cows, traffic, and machinery
Charlie is very careful and brave over fences and we think he would best suit a career as a showjumping pony
He has been XC schooling and is unphased by logs, water, coffins, etc. He is level-headed, quiet and would be a safe kid’s pony for hunting
Charlie is very easy to ride in the contact and has auto changes when jumping a course
He is confidently schooling 1.10m with our rider, and we feel he best suits a child who is comfortable riding walk, trot, canter and jumping small xrails as he is not a kick ride
Charlie is very sweet and mellow for anyone to handle, gentle to clip, shoe, load, tie, catch, etc.
Charlie is open to any vetting
