146-148 Traditional Cob

I am looking for a 146 - 148cm Traditional Cob for RI and country level showing, BD Quest and TGCA dressage.

Non Marish Mare or gelding.

Must be excellent out hacking in open spaces and traffic both in company and alone. A real salt of the earth type that is easy to have around, something I can pop my very novice Mum on as and when needed when I hack my daughters mare out in the week during the dark nights and can be handled by anyone both at home and shows. Must travel well and be well behaved away at shows. If the pony is established jumping and is easy that would be a real bonus as my twelve year old daughter is wanting to do workers on something that’s more established in jumping than her own traditional is.

Absolutely no if buts or whatever’s just a real lovely sort that I know are hard to find. No health issues or vices. I do not have the time to bring youngsters on so nothing that’s newly broken please.

It mustn’t need riding everyday because during lambing time it’s just not possible. Maximum age 12 as I am wanting this to be my forever horse. In return the right pony will want for nothing and will be coming to an experienced loving home where it shall be kept on a private farm with my daughters mare and livestock.

Please send information, pictures, location and video.

Lovely quality cob. He has mainly been used to escort owners daughter out hacking, but is wasted and should be doing so much more! Recently been out competing and loves it - this month he has been 2nd in both his unaffiliated prelim dressage test, he has great dressage potential.

He is a totally honest jumper. Having not done much for a good few years, he has been out schooling both show jumping and cross country and taken it all in his stride.

As shown with his above ability, Danny is not a plod, he wants to be going out and having fun with an equally fun rider! Has hunted.

Good to box, shoe, clip and catch. No vices.

Totally genuine and sad sale of lovely boy. 5* fun home required.

  • Fabulous show cob schoolmistress
  • Hacks, hunts and likes a jump!
  • Sensible and sane - perfect to be home produced!

May has had a very successful showing career to date being both professionally and home produced

She started showing at 7, and has only ever been lightly shown

In that time May has been to HOYS and the RI, being placed at both, as well as numerous successes on the county circuit including 3 wins and champion at Windsor, and champion at Equifest

This last season she qualified first time out for the RI, and had several top 4 placings in HOYS qualifiers with young jockey who only gets to ride occassionally

May is a beautiful, quality cob with plenty of bone and a good brain. She needs minimal working in at shows and isn't sharp or silly

She is looking for a varied life with plenty of hacking, turn out and fun as well as showing. She has hunted with her previous owner, hacks alone or in company, and loves a jump

We are looking for a kind and knowledgable home for this much loved girl

May is good to do in all respects and passed a 5 stage vetting last autumn. She has no vices - though does not like to travel alone. Sound, fit and ready to go

Very sadly for sale due to jockey's work commitments and lack of time

Black Country saddle and sheepskin numnah available separately

A simply beautiful little cob who can go and do every job! She has hunted, done pony club rallies, local shows, cross country schooled etc. Juno has the perfect attitude for anyone to produce in any sphere. Happily jumps round 105cm, not spooky to any fillers, water trays etc. Never says no!

Snaffle mouth and goes nicely on the flat with a balanced canter.

She hacks out, good to catch, shoe, box etc.

Juno moves very well, she would make a cracking little show cob for someone, or equally event very well, or easily progress through the grades BS.

Good conformation, and beautifully marked.

Sad sale due to personal reasons, same home since a foal.

  • Amazing presence, well balanced and uphill paces, self-carriage established

Fizzy ("Too Much Fizz") by "All That Jazz" has just turned 6 and measures in at 15.1hh/154.94cm.

Fizzy has an amazing presence, he is well balanced, has good conformation and nice uphill paces. He is very much a people person and loves his work. He is now strong enough to build on the steady foundation he has been given into his new owners chosen field.

He has tried a bit of everything but is established in self carriage, transitions and has responded well as we have started direct transition training.

He is good to hack and will happily go infront or behind. He is mannerly in open spaces and can be turned out with others or alone.

He still has a few baby moments but they are manageable and he is showing himself to be quite bold when faced with new/unexpected things.

Good to catch, shoe and box. A very good doer and possibly the cleanest horse you have ever had to muck out as soon as he settles in. Fizzy could live in or out and he is currently barefoot which seems to suit him as long as he is trimmed every 5 weeks.

Last worm count was done in August which showed no worming requirement. Teeth (done this month - September) and vaccs (June) are up to date. £2750 (no tack or rugs included).

Fizzy will be seen at home with access to facilities. More pictures and videos available.

  • Competed - Eventing (BE80), unaffiliated dressage, showjumping & Working hunter

Belle Isle Harry 15.1 Black Cob with four white stockings. 8 years old. This handsome, versatile and straight moving little horse has been with me for six months, sadly now for sale as no rider.

Absolute gentleman to handle, no stable vices, real little sweetheart.

With his previous owner he competed at:

• Eventing (BE80)
• Unaffiliated dressage and showjumping
• Working hunter

He is the stamp to make a wonderful driving cob and the looks to stand in a show ring in good company.

Since April he has popped rider round unaffiliated showjumping courses (80cms but capable of more) and hacked for hours around the countryside.

He is great for the farrier / to load into a trailer (not tested a lorry but nothing bothers him)/catch/in traffic etc.

Harry is not for a novice rider though and needs regular, consistent work to excel and ensure he gives his best to his rider; he will not be sold for hunting but should be out competing with a knowledgeable rider. This little cob is for sale only to a genuine private buyer so no requests for loans / LWVTB / trials and absolutely NO DEALERS will be considered, please don't call. Potential homes will be vetted, this horse is much loved and offering him for sale has been a tough decision.

For further pictures and more information available upon request.

Priced to sell.

Muckle John- Absolutely Top Class 13.1 Traditional / Native Cob

  • Same home since a two year old
  • Lovely, kind temperament and a loveable person
  • Very correct and clean limbed

For sale / Loan - 13.1 Cob with RI / HOYS potential. Fully vaccinated and passport with the TGCA.

I brought Muckle John (Jester) as a two year old colt and he has been with us since. As we run a busy riding school, he has been totally wasted with us because he is simply too nice and not a riding school plod! For this reason, although 7, he has had little time spent on him and has spent most of his years in the field. However, last year I began to compete him in unaffiliated and affiliated dressage, gaining BD points and achieving scores of over 70%, always with excellent comments from the judges (he has the cute factor). My aim was to continue to have some fun competing him and begin some Novice tests but sadly pregnancy and now a baby has meant that he has been turned away since January.

Jester has three well established, balanced and active paces and works in a natural outline and is snaffle mouthed at all times. He also shows huge scope over a fence but requires a confident, able rider as he can be sharp, however, in the right hands, Jester will go far and make a fantastic allrounder. His real forte nevertheless, would be showing where he would easily qualify for RI/HOYS and has untapped potential in this sphere. He is a big straight moving pony who is very correct, with excellent conformation, clean limbs and masses of main, forlock and feathers.

This is a very reluctant and heartbreaking sale of a wonderfully athletic pony who has the sweetest and kindest of natures and a very trainable attitude. I honestly think he will go far with the right home and I had planned to continue his education but I have realised that it will be impossible to ride and compete three horses with a newborn baby. He is now back in light work and ready to progress.

Home is far more important than price, thus I am open to offers and I would consider loan to the right person.

5* home only and all possible homes will be vetted.

Loads more photo's and videos of some of his tests and of him jumping are available upon request

He is 100% to clip, load, farrier (never been shod) etc with no veterinary history and open to any vetting

Comes with bridle and has immaculate Black Country Classic saddle available by separate negotiation

LW Irish Cob Mare (Holds Irish Passport ????)

Annie is a polite mannerly mare with lots to give, she is a lovely mare in every way, she isn't marish at all, she loves being fussed

Annie gives a lovely ride with a forward thinking mind and outlook to match her great walk and her lovely balanced rocking horse canter

Annie hacks out alone or in company and will go first or last. Is solid and patient in traffic. She has been hunting in Ireland and the U.K. She has been on funrides and has a bold careful jump, not fazed by fillers colours or solid fences. She has attended riding club clinics and a masterclass with Yogi Briesner where she behaved impeccably.

Annie has previously competed BD affiliated dressage, placed every time and securing 24 points in 8 outings, also qualifying for Trailblazers championship 2017

More recently we have been competing unaffiliated and riding club our last three scores have been 69%+ (A 1st and 2 X 2nds) Annie won the warm up test at the BRC Area Championships and came 4th in the Qualifier (on grass)
Sending us to Hartpury for the SW regional championships, where she behaved impeccably throughout.

Annie has shown successfully with her previous owners and has definite potential to pursue this route to the top, having already qualified in 2017 for the Trailblazers as a show cob and been ridden by ride judges and won cob classes, she has serious potential as a HOYS cob, with a fabulous arched neck, Apple bum and a good length of shoulder her pretty head and kind eye will serve her well in the show ring.

Annie has also XC schooled over some huge fences being bold and honest and would make a great working cob or pursue a team chase career as she is quick despite her frame. (See video links)

She has fantastic feet, good clean limbs, no lumps, bumps or sarcoids. She passed a 5 stage vetting June 2017

Annie can be tense with a new rider so she is looking for a calm, confident, experienced rider. There is no nastiness she just needs to be reassured, this does go once the rider is familiar. Annie is a real working cob not a novices cob, The best in her is yet to come

An exceptional horse with lots to give. Beautifully polite, exceptional manners to bath, shoe, clip, catch and box (trailer or lorry) and clean in the stable. (My 3 year old handles her and leads her and loads her on the trailer)

5* experienced home sought for this wonderful girl
