  • 8 year old coloured gelding who is suitable as a second pony
Very sad sell of our much loved Patchy (or would consider full loan (lwvtb) to stay at current yard in Oxted, Surrey) due to him being outgrown by my daughter.

Due to lack of rider he has not been ridden since the beginning of the year, so being sold from field.

Patch is a 14h, 8 year old coloured gelding who is suitable as a second pony - not a novice ride. With a confident rider he has so much potential.

We have had him for 3 years and my daughter was riding him from 9 years old. Although as he has now been out of work for many months he will need an experienced owner to slowly bring him back into work and improve his current fitness.

Great all rounder, although does prefer to hack with company and he definitely takes his confidence from his rider.

He loved his work in the school but is known to put in an excited buck when initially being asked to canter.

Good to handle and up to date with all vaccinations, farrier (currently barefoot), dentist, worming. No health issues.

Vices - he can be grumpy in his stable and is dominant with food. Once you take him out of the stable though he is very relaxed and will stand for ages to be groomed and fussed

Being sold with tack.

This has been a very difficult decision, so please only genuine interest as he will only go to the right person.

PENMAQDDWY PRIMA SENSATION (Dotty)

Multiculture X Johnson - Approx 146cm, rising 5 yo mare.

A mare with alot of presence and movement.

Dotty has fantastic breeding that suggests she should have the ability and capability to go on to be a very competitive pony.

She has been with us a few weeks to finish off her backing (Emily Watts has done a great job on the ground), and has now begun hacking with others and has has her first trip around the arena.

She is a smart type, with light, athletic paces and a willing attitude. She is not without personality but is proving trainable!

Dotty would be an asset to any experienced, competent/ competitive home. She is in the very early stages of backing but we believe in 6 months/ 1 years time she be a force to be reckoned with!

She passed a recent vetting for her owner for insurance purposes to cover her whilst being backed. She is unfortunately up for sale as she has no rider to continue her education.

Whilst with us she has been progressing well with her first steps as a ridden pony, has loaded, travelled and behaved well to take loose schooling, she has coped with a number of hose pipe baths and has been good to catch.

She is a competiton type so not suitable for a novice.

For sale on behalf of her owner and open to any vetting.

A classy pony!

Ellesmere, Shropshire.

Betsan is the ultimate pony club pony. Since we’ve had her she has given my son the most amazing experience Pony Racing.

She has been placed every time out at Bangor on Dee, Cheltenham and Haydock and has been the ultimate confidence giver for this experience. She has always looked after him and given him the most amount of fun whilst also being competitive.

She has also won many dressage competitions this year with my friend’s daughter, qualifying and competing at the PC dressage championships.

Betsan also loves hunting and has been out with the Flint and Denbigh hunt and the Anglesey drag hounds.

She has done many Winter League SJ competitions (60 and 70cm) and working hunter pony classes.

She is good to load, shoe, clip and travel. She does not buck or rear. She is very friendly and loves attention.

She is a much loved pony and a loving home is a priority. My son is moving onto a 138 pony, so sadly it is time for Betsan to teach the next young person to ride. Happy to send videos on request.
