Q.  I'm having difficulty viewing the adverts

A.  OPTIONAL PAGE VIEWING - GIVING YOU CONTROL OVER HOW YOU VIEW HORSEQUEST

You have two options for viewing adverts on Horsequest:  NORMAL VIEW & PAGE VIEW, the button for this option is located at the top of each advertising page

The NORMAL VIEW is the default setting and will keep loading ads as you scroll down without any prompts or additional clicks from yourself.  The PAGE VIEW will require you to click for the next page, however for users with older browsers or slow internet connections, this will ensure you are able to view all ads. So if you are having difficulty viewing any of the pages, please click on PAGE VIEW

If you have chosen PAGE VIEW and wish to return to NORMAL VIEW just click the button that appears at the top of every advertising page

This system is unique to Horsequest and gives you control over how you view the site and allows you to use Horsequest in the way that is best for you

Q. How do I place an advert?

A. There are three simple ways to place an advert
1. Use the online ad placement system– Firstly you will need to register for My Horsequest, this will allow you to place ads, manage your ads, store horses in your Virtual Stable, set up email alerts and administer your personal profile.  Once you have placed your advert and completed payment, you will immediately be sent a confirmation email containing a copy of your invoice.  Your advert will go live once it has been checked and authorized by the Horsequest team.

2.  Email your advert directly to advertise@horsequest.co.uk .  Please supply contact details and we will contact you to arrange payment. This can be made via credit or debit card over the phone or a cheque can be sent in the post.  Please note your advert will not go live prior to payment being received.

3. Post your advert to Horsequest UK Ltd, 2 The Stable Block, Cornbury Park, Charlbury, Oxon OX7 3EH – Please include a cheque or instruction for us to call you to arrange payment by telephone

Q. How do I pay for my advert?

A. For the first couple of weeks of the new website we are remaining with the payment over the telephone system.  So, once you have placed your advert and completed payment, you will immediately be sent a confirmation email containing a copy of your invoice.  We will then call you to arrange payment and your advert will go live once it has been checked and authorized by the Horsequest team.  Alternatively, adverts can be paid for using a credit / debit card over the telephone or by cheque and if you have emailed your ad, again we will contact you to organise payment.

Q. How will I be able pay for my advert in the future?

A. In a couple of weeks the secure online payment system will become live, at which time you will be able to place your advert and pay for it all online.  Once you have placed your advert and completed payment, you will immediately be sent a confirmation email containing a copy of your invoice.  Your advert will go live once it has been checked and authorized by the Horsequest team. 
We decided not to implement the payment system at the same time as the new site, in order to stay in touch with you, our customer during the change period.  We want to talk to you and hear your comments which will enable us to improve the new site and iron out any issues as they arise.

Q. I’ve paid for my advert, so why has it not gone live immediately?

A. Adverts must be checked and authorized by Horsequest before they go live.  This ensures your advert looks it’s best and means that we are able to filter out any inappropriate items, thereby ensuring that we maintain the high standards for which Horsequest is known.

Q. How do I make changes to my advert or mark my advert as sold?

A. “My Horsequest” is the area in which you can manage your adverts.  You will be able to mark them as sold and include a message to the buyer if you wish, change the price of your ads and change the contact details that appear on your adverts.  Any other changes can be emailed to the Horsequest team at enquiries@horsequest.co.uk or give us a call on 01608 819000, stating the advert reference (in the top right corner of the advert) or the telephone number that appears on your advert and we will make the changes for you

Q. How long will my advert remain online?

A. Adverts remain online for 5 weeks from the date the advert goes live.

Q. How can I renew my advert?

A. Adverts can be renewed at any time via the Manage My Adverts section within My Horsequest. By clicking the Advert Renewal option on the left of your advert it will then take you through each part of the advert allowing you to make changes to all your wording and photo's before completing the payment section. Just follow the instructions on the screen. You will be sent a reminder email a few days before the advert is due to expire.  All adverts up to a year old will remain in your store and can be renewed at any time. Renewed adverts must be for the same horse or item.  New horses / items must be placed on a new advert.

Q. How do I find the horses and ponies for sale?

A. You will see three drop down menus on the left hand side of your screen titled Horses, Ponies and Natives.  If you click on the arrow on the right of each title (ie Horses) the drop down menu will appear and you will be able to select a category.  This will take you to an introduction page which may contain a few premier adverts, from here please select from the navigation that appears at the top and bottom of the page to view all adverts in that section.

Q. Can I swap / add photos to my advert?

A. You can replace a picture at any time free of charge, all you need to do is email the replacement picture along with your telephone number to enquiries@horsequest.co.uk. You are welcome to add extra photos to your advert, each extra photo costs £5, we will give you a call to arrange payment on arrival

Q. How do I know how long an advert has been online?

A. All new adverts go in at the top of the page and gradually work there way down as they get older, the larger sections (i.e. Allrounders / PC) will get roughly 10 - 20 new adverts per day.
