Sec D gelding looking for an experienced home where he will get some proper work and mental stimulation.

He's a clever boy who wants to do a job, and while he would carry a novice rider most days, one day he will probably make his own entertainment and deposit them. So he's not suitable for a novice, and I won't sell him to someone who thinks they can spin him and make money.

He's great to handle, load, catch farrier etc. He's brilliant in traffic. Unfazed by farm machinery. He's a snaffle mouth, and loves to hack out alone or in company.

He hates riding circles in a school, and this is where he's been soured in the past. He will buck sometimes, and certainly if you push him around in a school. He doesn't like it at all. Nobody ever explained it to him properly, and we don't have a school anyway.

He wants to go in a straight line through the countryside, for miles and miles, at any speed.

He is very sound with no health issues at all. He's been checked for the bucking - it's just him. He has had some bad relationships in past. Haven't we all! I have his full and interesting history, happy to disclose.

I've had him / know him for years, and we always got on fine with him because we let him do what he enjoys most. However I now have too many horses, and he doesn't have a job with us anymore. If he doesn't sell, I will probably break him to drive as I think he'll be brilliant and he'd love it.

I would love to find him an experienced home, where he can go hunting or do endurance or something similar. He's got a jump in him, but he might get excited and buck if you don't keep him focussed. (We have had him over a small course in a school.)

He could be perfect for a gutsy teenager, or would make a super little staff horse for a hunt. There's a job for him out there where he can thrive, and an owner who will love him even when he's a knob.

Don't buy this horse and come back to me when he's bucked you off. Buy him and then tell me what an amazing little hunter he's become.

The right home is vital for this little chap. A decent rider and a bit of work and patience will easily bring out the best of him.
