  • Show cob

A rare opportunity to purchase a genuine top-class show cob with an exceptional record. Having won at both HOYS and the Royal International, he has competed and succeeded at the very highest level and still has plenty to offer his next owner.

He is a true gentleman with the most wonderful temperament. Kind, genuine, and easy to do in every way, he is regularly ridden by my 10-year-old niece and is a pleasure both on the ground and under saddle.

He loves his work, enjoys jumping, and has successfully competed in Working Show Horse classes alongside his impressive showing career. With his quality, presence, and proven track record, he would easily be competitive in Veteran classes and could continue to enjoy a successful career in the show ring.

He hacks happily in company but can be nervous when ridden out alone, so we are looking for a home that will suit his needs and allow him to thrive.

Good to clip, load, travel, and for the farrier. A straightforward horse to own and a much-loved member of the family.

This is a genuinely heartbreaking sale due to a change in career meaning he is no longer getting the time and attention he deserves. He is far too talented and special to be wasted in a field and deserves a home where he can continue to be enjoyed and appreciated.

Based in North Lincolnshire

Living out 24/7 on sparse grazing, Rose is a perfect match for other good doers who also need restricted grass. Rose can live with both mares and geldings, and could adapt to part stabling with a steady routine.

Rose can be a little unsure at times, especially when settling in, but with a quiet home and a calm, confident handler she will truly flourish. She absolutely loves a good groom and will soak up every bit of fuss and affection.

Frankie is a smart, sporty looking 14.3hh cob gelding with a kind temperament and a fantastic attitude to life. He is a genuine young horse with an old head on young shoulders who has been produced slowly and is now ready for someone to continue his education.

Frankie is very much more woah than go, giving a safe and confidence-giving ride.

Due to his age he has only done light schooling, so he is still green in the arena. Not a sharp or strong ride; can be slow off the leg while gaining confidence and experience. He has been Hunting,Arena hire/ cross country schooling and also to an unaffiliated showjumping competition finishing with a clear round!

Frankie is brave and level headed and happy to give anything a go. He is fantastic in open spaces – you can canter him across a field on the buckle and feel completely safe.

On the ground Frankie is a pleasure to have around. He is:
• Good to catch, lead and handle
• Easy to tack up
• Loves grooming and fuss
• Loads first time on trailer and lorry
• Travels well
• Good for the farrier and vet
• Has been clipped and stood perfectly
•hacks alone and in company

Registered name is Scrapmans Adonis 16.2hh 6 yrs full ID by Scrapman X Mountain Diamond

Big solid chap who will make someone a super hunter / pleasure rides/ all rounder type. Donny has been in the same home with small lady owner since unbroken 4 year old. He’s been started very slowly and allowed plenty of time to mature. He’s takes up the leg very well and although on the larger side is a light ride and has potential in the school, it’s not really his favourite thing though so he’s probably more suited to a home who will do more fun things with him.

Donny loves his jumping and is very brave and genuine, he’s never said no he will be a real weapon once tuned up and a bit fitter. He’s good round a full set of show jumps and loves XC schooling.

Hunted 3 times last season with the Surrey Union and was good, jumped everything asked of him with novice rider on board. He’s made for hunting, and although not a made hunter yet, shows all the attributes required to not only look smart but also be good across the country.

Donny hacks alone and in company , his preference is company but with an assertive rider is quite happy to go on his own. We feel this is just greenness and he continues to get better and braver! He’s been good in all traffic met to date, farm machinery, livestock, riding to the pub … none of this has bothered him and he’s always happy hacking with his ears pricked.

He’s a low maintenance chap and enjoys field life with his friends. He’s quite happy living out all year but will come in if he must. Currently out nights with us and super friendly with the other horses in the field. Donny is good to catch, box, shoe, clip but he’s not a cuddly fellow around people and prefers his own space, pulls faces over the door and silently swears at you. Horse savvy experienced owner would definitely suit him better.

Duke is standing at 12.3 and is a 10 year old silver dapple traditional mini cob stallion . He is not stallion like at all, and is very quiet to deal with and will stable next to mares.

Duke is broken to ride and loves to go hacking around the fishery’s and woodland areas. He has never been out the top 2 when shown in hand, and recently won Barley Saturday Stallion Show . Where he then paraded the streets and behaved impeccably .

This boy would easily fly through TGCA / chaps gradings and therefore could compete at chaps/toys where I believe he would do very well.

Tons of feather and bone with a real look at me presence.

He is very easy to have around and is very good to handle, load, clip, bath and for the farrier.

Ponies like this do not come on the market very often

Also, having the temperament to match, he is a kind hearted gelding with no vices, he is good to do in all ways, during bathing, trimming, clipping and for the farrier.

Quality gypsy cob mare

Ref #: 396569
  • Forward going, sensible hack

  • Equal Woah and Go
£10,000 ONO
  • Cob
  • Piebald
  • Mare
  • 13 years
  • 14.3 hands
  • Forward going, sensible hack
  • Owned and bred by us, so full knowledge
  • Equal Woah and Go

We have bred and owned Mulligan all her life. She has always been super easy to do, so much so, shes always the one who gets left, and not ridden. Whilst I find her super easy, and if anything, like it when shes not been ridden for a month and is a little fresh, we have had a few try her and found her too forward for them.
There is no need to kick on this mare, leg on means go. She marchs in walk and trots out, keeping up with any horse. She loves a canter across the fields and tracks, but pulls up easy in a snaffle.
Personally I find circles in an arena boring, (plus we don’t have an arena) so we do not do it. If you want a dressage horse, you will need to put the work in, as our idea of fun is hacking. However she has been to dressage and show jump shows with a friend many years ago, so the buttons will still be there, its up to you if you want them, and if so you might need to re program.
Her forte is hacking, heavy traffic is no issue, gates she’s a pro, she’s safe in open spaces, she goes first or last, and is confident on her own.
You can ride and lead her, or from her, so super easy.
She is a unit, i’m 5ft6 and she takes up my leg, and some, I’ve never felt too big for her. Shes super comfortable to ride with plenty of neck and shoulder in front of you.
She is only for sale as I’ve bred myself a taller version and if she gets ridden once a fortnight she’s done well.
If you are into your gypsy cob breeding you will see she has great breeding, and is very correct if you wanted to show.
She needs her own person, but of you are coming from a riding school, are used to kicking every stride, or are hoping for a mother daughter share for your ten year old who is still struggling with rising trot, she is unlikely to be for you, you are likely to feel over horsed.
She is kind, super fun and gives you a great fun ride.
She is and has always been barefoot, easy to clip, bath, spray etc. She is vaccinated, has had a foal (we are a stud) three years ago which she did easily and her foal is still with us (also for sale).
Her ideal home is someone who wants to hack out, have a good canter across fields, do some fun rides etc
We have them in each night, and in the winter we have little / no turnout and she’s happy to stay in 24/7. She doesn’t get fresh or silly when in.
The home and person is every important, as she is a member of our family, but she is surplus to needs at the moment, and she could give someone a lot of fun.
She has an Albion saddle, Seddon bridle and a larger wardrobe than me that I’m happy to discuss

Kind friendly weight carrier giant. Easy in EVERYWAY.

Stunning 4 year old proper traditional full of bone heavy cob. The please don’t be put off by his age I put my mother on him and would happily put my granny on too if she could get up on him! He has a better temperament than any 10 year old been there and done it. Isn’t a a once of nasty in him!

Import from Ireland as a 3 year old. Bob I don’t know where to start, he is a freak for his age. He has mainly been used for happy hacking, beach rides, up roads, through woods! Great to hack in company (fizzy ex racehorse upsides!) I can jump on him bare back when he’s eating or grazing. I ride my show horse around him whilst he’s eating doesn’t bat an eye. He’s like a Labrador! And even though he’s been broken in correctly I do just believe he’s a genuine nice person, he’s a good egg! Loving, kind and low maintenance.

I genuinely don’t think you find cobs like him anymore he’s a real lump that is more woe than go but will also trot and march on if asked! Proud looking cob with a kind eye, and a nice aura. Beautiful markings. Lives out of in. If you’re wanting an overall nice person with years of fun In him please get in touch. Home is priority and in absolutely no rush to sell. Lives on fresh air! Healthy and not grossly fat. 5* homes only please with a certain amount of knowledge. As easy as he is I would like to find him a wonderful human who will keep him on the correct path although I highly doubt he could ever go on the wrong path.

Selling on behalf of a friend:
Clydesdale X Cob. 17.1hh, 5 years old with an Irish passport.

Clyde is a true gentle giant – do not be put off by his height or age. His current owner is 5ft 6 and 8 stone. For sale due no fault of his own – happy to discuss circumstances. Full history known.

Clyde has been a joy to hack for the last 14 months (alone and in company). In open fields he doesn’t hot up and is happy to canter at the back of a group; he is always well behaved. He has never bucked or reared and is superb in all traffic.

Will sweetly plod on a long rein, is voice responsive to halt, has a nicely forward trot and a relaxed and comfy canter. He has recently completed some professional schooling.

This fabulous boy is a real people horse, he’s fantastic to catch, loves being pampered, is good for the farrier, travels well and is just a joy to have around. In the field he loves everyone and gets along with mares and geldings alike.

He has successfully been treated for two sarcoid’s by the Equine Vet in Liverpool with positive results (documentation can be provided).

Clyde has very mild sweet itch which is managed really well with Biteback products and a fly rug. He comes with tack (professionally fitted Thoroughgood saddle and a bridle) and fly rug.

No expense has been spared on this lovely gentleman, an excellent home is of the upmost importance.

Lovely straightforward Irish cob

14.3H 4yo mare

She’s very kind in all ways. Loves people and eager to please her rider. We have done plenty of hacking out with her and she’s been as good as gold.

Good weight carrier with plenty of bone and substance. Has done cross country with a young girl riding and is showing to be brave and honest to jump too.

No lumps bumps vices. Recent good vet cert.
