Connemara X

By Menlough Owen x Cruising/VDL Douglas

Ollie is a smart event horse showing lots of promise and potential to go up through the grades to make a competitive Junior Team horse.

He has a good brain and plenty of scope, a great technique over fences and moves well with lots more to come on the flat with more education. He has competed successfully at BE100 with several placings and has moved up to Novice never had a XC jumping fault.

Easy to do in every way, box, shoe, clip, catch etc

Genuine sad sale as his rider is off to Uni

Hunted lightly with both the Cotswold and Heythrop.

Absolutley no timewasters.

Super smart eye catching event horse. Yogi is competing easily at Novice level. Proving to be very bold and athletic with plenty of stride.

He is easy to do in every way. Good traveler on his own or in company and likewise to hack.

Good to shoe and clip.

Yogi has been produced slowly and correctly with the future in mind, and lateral work proving easy for him. He is a forward going horse who enjoys his job.

For sale through no fault of his own.

Not a crazy price for this lovely eye catching horse.

Basically, this horse 'Henry' is a little star. Can do a superb dressage test, so can get you in the ribbons eventing or can be a pure dressage horse that can also pop over the odd jump for a change.

With a clear potential get to compete at novice level events this coming season, if not higher, this horse could soon be worth £15k. He was bought to be produced and sold and that rider doesn't work for me any more - I would rather not pay another rider to produce him and would rather cash-out now and buy a hunter before season runs out. He is a very sweet horse but not a novice ride - a confident amateur will have a cracking time and be in the ribbons, and judges love him: he moves nicely and has a fine and elegant frame.

He has been with me since the summer last year to be produced and sold, so I know a great deal about him.

Evented unaffiliated at end of last summer with dressage score of 23, and dressage scores of over 70% at Prelim and over 67% at Novice (Summer Dressage Championships 2016). Been out over this summer and done some blisteringly good x country rounds, including well inside the time.

Has been cross country schooling multiple times and takes on Pre Novice fences with ease and is certainly capable of an up to height Novice course.

Henry has been out show jumping both indoors and outdoors and has proven himself to be bold over a variety of fillers and shown scope when needed. Henry is clever with his feet and able to jump off any stride.

Henry did a few days hunting over last winter for a bit of variety.

Not an absolute novice ride, but no vices and a pleasure to work with. Good in traffic, hack, farrier, dentist, load (trailer and lorry). Ridden by tall man as well as small lady.

Price had been reduced for a quick sale due to a time waster, and a desire to buy a hunter before season is out.

While he has been let down for winter, he is still being schooled so can certainly be tried. Excellent trial facilities.

Some video links of Henry, with plenty of footage over his 20 months with me:

Brilliant jumper, with 3 correct paces, lots of potential for the right rider, but not a beginners horse. 100% sound and clean limbed, vice free, fit and ready to go.

Rare opportunity to get your hands on a young 3 star horse with the potential to go on to 4 star

Junior is an outstanding cross country horse, he eats up the ground, never gets tired and stays straight and bold. He is a good jumper, quick off the floor and wouldnt stop if he was missed

He is the most beautifully put together horse that moves like a dream, however, he is not easy on the flat. He doesn't get hot or fizzy but is very against the hand so needs a lot of work in this area or go and do another job

He likes dressage about as much as his current rider and we think they need to agree to disagree on the dressage front

He would be an incredible team chaser or field masters horse I'm sure, but I also don't think he should be dismissed as an event horse as different riding and training methods might change his ways

He is therefore offered seriously CHEAP for someone to have a go with

Totally sound and tough

Evented to 2*, SJ 1.30, 17hh 2008 gelding by Cassini II.

Working adv/medium at home. Lovely forward going, responsive ride with nice paces and works in natural outline. Would also excel in BD.

Super talented competition horse and ultimate eventing schoolmaster. Super easy confidence giver to a fence, careful SJ, bold xc, none spooky type and big gallop.

Very easy to do on ground, load, travel, at shows, shoe, catch etc. Hacks alone and in company.

Recently passed 5 stage vetting and just had flu/tet, back, dentist.

He is one of the kindest, easiest horses I have ever known. However he is a big, forward going competition horse that likes to work. So would suit a competent amateur wishing to go through the levels (he is eligible to downgrade this year) or ambitious rider wishing to be competitive at Novice /1* this season with ability to progress.

Fab trial facilities inc BE XC/SJ course and good hacking.

Newly fitted dressage and jump saddle available.

A one in a million horse that’s for sale through no fault of his own. Only for sale as I’m struggling to keep 3 horses, young family and a demanding work schedule.

Owned and produced by current amateur female rider since he was a yearling. Impeccable breeding. Has always been an absolute gentleman with no vices, always keen to work hard with a great attitude. Stunning paces and amazing natural ability on the flat, won at BD up to Elementary, consistently scores 70%+. Planning to move to Advanced medium this Winter. His lowest score to date at BE is 18. Fantastic presence and would excel as a pure dressage horse, with great natural ability for lateral work.

Scopey and careful jump to the point we have often considered purely showjumping him. Jack is a true, all-round, talented eventer with no weak phase. Forward thinking but not strong. Very clever and genuine. He builds a very strong relationship with his rider and will do anything for his person. Good to shoe, catch etc. Clipped without so much as a headcollar on.

Would suit a competitive rider looking for a very talented and competitive horse to take them up the levels to JRN/Junior level in BE or someone looking to produce a competitive dressage horse. Very very sad sale and a 5* home is essential. Readvertised due to several time wasters.

Been there and done it all! There is nothing that this superstar mare hasn't done! She is a horse of a lifetime and the sort which are really hard to find, she has given so much to previous riders and has so much more to give!

Genuine, honest and absolutely adores her job and her work! Mimi is a approx 16.1hh 14yr old bay ISH mare by My O My(sire) and Maggies Pearl(dam), she is a lovely type ideal for eventing, light on her feet and can really cover the ground having made the time easily at novice and 1*

She has predominately been used for affiliated eventing with a junior rider where she has been extremely successful through the ranks with lots of placings at be90/be100 level including wins at be100 level on a 23.5 and DC. Has won several novices and placed at both CCI1*and CIC1* with a junior rider. She absolutely adores her jumping and is a schoolmistress through and through both xc and sj, she always gives 100% and will give any rider lots and lots of confidence over the bigger tracks. Currently has 22 points to date but would be eligible for downgrading meaning her new rider could get to know her competitively at the lower levels whilst bringing home lots of rosettes and smiles! She has never been out of the top 16 in 29 affiliated events!

Mimi has been very well produced on the flat with three super paces, a brilliant canter and a correct consistent way of going. Regularly scoring 20's at be100/novice level and scores in the high 40's/mid 50's at FEI international level. Light in the hand, easy to ride and responsive from the aids without being sharp. She has also been registered affiliated dressage with 15 points in limited outings.

This super horse is a jack of all trades and has spent the last few years being a mother/daughter share showing daughter the ropes across all disciplines unaffiliated/riding club whilst mother has hacked and schooled lightly mid week.

Lovely to have on the yard, easy to do and not in the slightest bit stressy! Good to box(trailer/lorry), clip, shoe, catch. Very easy away from home and takes the the big international events with the bigger atmosphere all in her stride. Hacks alone and in company and is ridden in a snaffle across all phases.

She is ready to show her new jockey how to be successful eventing, she has been there and seen it all without being hammered having only run in 29 affiliated events in her career. Mimi is not in the slightest bit ready to slow down and would still be happy to run at 1*/novice level. Please see extensive video of her doing absolutely everything from at home, schooling and out at events

Compact British Sport Horse by Parkhall Seymour VIII

Has been well schooled and produced by amateur, trained by Ian Woodhead. Naturally goes into an outline and is responsive to aids scoring 20’s.

Has endless scope with a competitive BS / BE record. Jumps 1.20 / 1.25m in lessons. Currently competing Novice / 1* with scope to go further. Confident over all cross country fences including ditches / water etc. Snaffle mouthed in all disciplines.

Has attended all PC / RC activities including camps and team events. Has taken part in three day championship competitions and behaved well when away from home. Patiently stands on the lorry.

Is easy to do in all respects, has impeccable stable manners. Gets on well with mares or geldings. No vices. 100% to clip, shoes, worm, catch, load and travel.

Hacks alone or in company. Bombproof in all types of traffic.

Has received pleasing comments from Piggy French after taking part in a two day residential at her yard this September, “she has an attitude to always please”.

Ideal for a competitive rider aiming for junior teams, would make competitive show jumper or a horse to take a rider from ponies to horses.

Same home since 18months old, increased university commitments forces a sad sale. 5* knowledgeable home only for this super mare.

Marco was my first horse. We started affiliated eventing in 2015 and have progressed from BE90 to intermediate/CCI*. In his previous home he mainly showjumped.

Marco loves cross country and is bold and brave. He has a fast ground-covering stride. He is very athletic and takes care of himself, making him very safe cross-country. Marco is a very elegant horse who has lovely, correct paces with dressage scores in the low 30’s at intermediate. His lateral work is very good (he often gets 8’s for his shoulder-in and leg-yields and produces a good half-pass and walk pirouette). He has been placed 1st and 2nd at novice and elementary level in pure dressage.

Marco is a careful and scopey little horse. We have competed up to foxhunters (1.20/1.25m) and he has numerous double clears at 1.10m. At home, he clears 1.30/1.35m with ease. He is equally a very good BSJA horse as he is fast against the clock, however we have focused on eventing as he enjoys it so much.

Marco is the easiest horse to do at home and at competitions-Marco is ridden and looked after by all members of the family! He has the loveliest temperament and is a pleasure to look after. He loads into anything, is good to clip and shoe and is great in traffic. Marco has no vices and has never been lame. His teeth have been checked recently and has regular physio.
He is a genuine, honest horse who enjoys his work. Marco is straightforward and uncomplicated to ride-He is snaffle-mouthed in all three phases.

Marco is only for sale due to me being a 2nd year vet student. I have now realised that I can no longer sustain going home every weekend to ride and work to fund my eventing. Unfortunately, I don't have the time and money needed to compete at the higher levels.

We are looking for a committed young rider or amateur who will carry on his eventing career to two star and beyond!

Marco is fit and ready to go. Good home is a priority.

Please only genuine enquiries. No dealers, loans, or texts.

15"3 12 year old bay mare by Olympic Lux

Owned since 6 year old and bought on slowly by a teenage girl

Now competing at BE Intermediate and 1.20m British Showjumping

The pair have represented their Pony Club at Open National Championships in Eventing and Showjumping, they also qualified for and competed at the Festival of British Eventing in the Corinthian Cup in August 2017

This mare is incredibly reliable XC including two clears at Intermediate level in the 2017 season at Aston-le-Walls and Keysoe

Multiple placings from Novice, CIC* and 10th at Keysoe Intermediate in August 2017

Sadly for sale as jockey's university commitments leave no time for riding, the mare has scope to go further with the right rider as the pair were planning to step up to CIC** in the 2018 season

No vices, easy to handle in all ways, 100% reliable

Many videos available on request
