16hh Irish thoroughbred bay mare 7 years this time. This mare was trained to race but never actually ran as she was too sensible! She is not your typical Thoroughbred! She is extremely level headed, willing ,genuine, safe and fun! I can safely say this horse is 100% quirk free. Brilliant on the roads, and will hack alone or in company. She is the type of horse you can pick up put down and she will be the same the next time you get on. She has a great trainable attitude, and just wants to please.

She started her eventing career last season proving to be a real potential star and is ready for someone to aim at qualifying for Badminton grassroots for 2018. She was a pleasure to take out all season and just got on with the job with a great attitude. Very bold and brave and is not phased by fillers, water, ditches etc. She has a great technique over a fence, and time will never be an issue XC as she covers the ground very well.

She consistently scored low 30's in her dressage , and produced a few tests that were in the 20's. Throughout this 2017 season I believe that she will be a horse to produce tests routinely within the low 20's , as she is very obedient with three correct paces. She would excel in BD competitions also.

She competed at BE90 level last year and was placed in some large sections. She has the ability to definitely make BE100 level.

She would suit a rider wanting to event at 90/100 level, or equally someone who would like a fab natured horse to do riding club activities, and a bit of everything when they wanted to!

Completely vice free and such an angel to handle in all ways. Good to box shoe clip load etc . A REAL pleasure to own.

She is fit and ready to start the season. Currently entered into Epworth BE90 at the beginning of March.

5* home wanted for this lovely horse .

** BILLY NO MATES** For sale on behalf of client - 17hh Dark Bay Rising 9 year old gelding by International Showjumping Stallion Billy Congo.

Beautiful looking horse with stunning paces and bold, scopey jump. Competed to BE100 & show jumped BS 1.05 with ease.

He would excel in any sphere, his paces are good enough for pure dressage, every time out he receives lovely comments from the judges and brings home ribbons. But equally he loves his jumping, training round 1.10-1.20 at home.

Sadly due to his owners illness he has been wasted so far, so it's only fair on him for someone to take on the reins and do him justice.

Hacks alone or in company, very easy and polite ride. He is a lovely boy, lives in or out, alone or with others.

Due to his size I would like him to go to a knowledgable home. He's fit and ready to compete!

Extremely sad sale of this much loved horse I have had since breaking him in as a 4yo.

More photos and videos available on request. PLEASE NO TIME WASTERS / JOY RIDERS / LOANS / LEASE REQUESTS!

Phoebe is a real little star. She turns her hoof to anything and is extremely talented while being relaxed and trainable with it! She has competed BSJA where she is very genuine and careful. She has also been to dressage competitions where again she takes it all in her stride.

She moves very well and has a lovely scopey bold jump and does everything in a snaffle. She is impeccably behaved on fun rides and jollies around the farm where she jumps logs, rails, ditches and opens and shuts gates.

She hacks alone and in company, is very good in traffic and will go first or last. She is an absolute sweetheart to do around the yard and will be the perfect horse for someone who wants to go up through the grades eventing or compete and enjoy all aspects of equestrianism. She is entered up andready to go and have fun.

She is only for sale as her talents are bigger than her owners ambitions!

Please email or ring for any more information and please leave a message and I'll ring you back as signal is bad in the area.

Fantastic 16.1hh 10 year old bay mare. Tabasco Van Erpekom (Darco) x ISH bloodlines. Very brave and powerful, this horse is a jumping machine, consistently jumping double clears at novice, ready for intermediate and beyond with 3* potential. Gained 4 BE points last season having gone from BE90 to Novice / 1* in the season.

Good on the flat and continuing to improve, she is quick and willing to learn and her lateral work is becoming well established. Can get tense in the arena but this is improving and will continue to improve with work.

This horse is very powerful and wants to get on with the job. She is very forward to ride so definitely not a novice ride but is honest and straightforward and has NEVER bucked, reared, napped etc

Fantastic to hack in any traffic on her own or in company.

A great horse with a lovely temperament who only wants to please. Talented enough for a professional but safe enough for a competitive amateur rider.

Priced for a quick sale to someone who is looking for a serious horse but is lacking the budget sometimes needed to acquire one. Fit and ready for the start of the season.

Dave is a lovely horse who we have owned for the past 18 months. He was bought for my small (5'3") daughter to event in her first move off ponies. Unfortunately, due to GCSEs, he was hardly competed last year and with school commitments increasing we have taken the reluctant decision to sell him as he is coming into his prime and has so much more to offer. My next daughter is only 12 or I would not be selling him.

He was owned by his previous (very experienced) owner from the age of 2 and correctly schooled at every stage. He is straight and easy to ride with three lovely paces - and much liked by my daughter's dressage teacher. He is bold and straight cross-country and great fun to ride. He is forgiving if you are on the wrong stride, and very honest.

Dave gave my daughter her first novice runs and filled her with confidence. She had always worried about showjumping, but loves it on him.

He has many placings at novice and intermediate and would easily be on the ONu18 teams.

He is easy to do in all ways, regularly handled by a small 12 year-old, good with dogs and children. He is fit and ready to go for the new season.

He is priced to sell as he does crib (although this has never affected his performance) and has had a small sarcoid removed. Otherwise never injured or sick.

Kings Rock (King) has been in the family since 2011, after many years of great success his owner and I have decided its time for him to move on. King is now a complete school master, he was bred and produced by Mary King before moving on to Georgie Spence, after a successful season with Georgie he was moved to my yard where he has taught me so much and helped bring me up through the levels.

King is now ready to help teach someone else, his brave nature makes him a very safe and reliable horse. He has good natural expressive paces which have helped him to obtain some top dressage marks. My Top International Dressage trainer has always said he was good enough for pure dressage.

He is good to do in all ways and never fails to have a huge amount of presence.

Will only be available to a competitive 5* home where he can continue to thrive and reach his potential.

I am looking for an additional horse for Novice/1* level, either with a novice record or a more experienced horse looking to downgrade. I would also consider an established horse at 100 level with lots of ability to go on.

Either a mare or gelding, over 15.2hh and I'm flexible on age.

Bold & confident cross country with workable brain. I don't mind if dressage is weakest phase or not a perfect showjumper. Must have good temperament, sensible & easy to handle, loads and travels well.

For a quiet confident rider with proven record at Novice & 1*, trained by top eventing coach.

A knowledgeable loving 5* home awaits, with highest standard of care & turn out.

Good lease or loan budget available for the season or longer term. All ideas are very much welcome, would also consider buying for right budget/horse. Please do get in touch.

**BEWARE**

BOGUS EMAILS & BUYERS!

Ref #: 22412

Increasing numbers of internet advertisers are receiving emails from bogus buyers, attempting to scam sellers

This tactic is a worldwide problem; however it would appear to be on the rise in the equine industry, targeting everything from horses and ponies for sale, to horseboxes, trailers and tack

**EXAMPLE SCAM ALERT**

We've been informed of a new email scam doing the rounds. This time the scam email in commonly coming from ‘Travis Bennett’ & 'Cynthia PT', asking a list of questions & offering to transfer a deposit and payment for shipping. Please ignore this email and if you have time report it to Action Fraud, for more details click HERE

In another instance the scammer will contact you via email asking if your horse is still for sale, this will be followed by an email containing 23 questions as shown on the picture on the left. Please do not respond to this email. Sorry for any inconvenience caused and rest assured we are doing our best to combat this.

Another scam which is particularly common, is  when theadvertiser is contacted about an item, asking for more images, and then once the images have been received the bogus buyer will agree to send a cheque for the full amount.  At this point the seller is asked to email their full contact details to enable the buyer to send payment. The seller is then contacted again saying that the cost of shipping has accidently been included on the cheque, and could the seller forward the cost of shipment onto a courier, which is also bogus

These scams can vary, however emails are often written in broken English and written in an over friendly style.  We urge HorseQuest customers to respond to email enquiries with caution. If something sounds too good to be true, it often is!

If you think you’ve been scammed then we strongly recommend that you contact the police

Bugbrooke is a wonderful homebred gelding out of a jumbo mare; He has been in Izzys yard since he started eventing as a 5 year old and she has slowly taken him up the levels. He has a wonderful cross country record.

He is bold but careful and very easy to handle with a great gallop and a scopey jump. He is a big softy who wants to please. He is now back at home, fit and ready for the season ahead.

Bugbrooke has been placed at Intermediate level and was 2nd at Chatsworth in his first CIC* - 43 dbl clear.

He would be ideal for a competitive amateur or young rider.

He is a very genuine, kind horse that wants to please and has 3 lovely paces and a lovely jumping technique. Very sad sale and very important that he goes to a 5* home.

Can be seen on you tube under Izzy Taylor and Bugbrooke.

Beautiful 16.1hh German warmblood, grey mare, she is 15 years old but don't let her age put you off! She is never lame, sick or sorry. She has been there and got the t- shirt. She has evented up to Intermediate and showjumped up to Foxhunter. She is a lovely forward easy ride, very much push button, established flying changes, ect.

She would excel in dressage and have recently registered her with British Dressage. She is great to hack out alone or in company. She is great in open spaces like the beach the doesn't get silly. She is just a pleasure to have around and so easy to do in every way, clip, box, shoe, ect.

I would like her to go to a dressage home or someone who just wants a safe horse to have fun on and enjoy going on pleasure rides ect. I wouldn't like her to go to a showjumping home where that is all she would do. She doesn't want to jump that height anymore and if over jumped she will stop. Not nastily but she has done it all her life and I just think she doesn't want to jump that height anymore. No vices lumps or bumps.

Open to vetting.

He has been competing at BE Novice level but has the scope to go Intermediate.

He has been in the same home for 7 years and is only for sale as sadly he is being wasted due to a toddler causing lack of time. His new home is very important as he is a much loved family member.

Zandico hacks alone or in company, he has been used to ride and lead from, and even helps move stock on the farm. He is a genuine, fun alrounder who has potential to go far with the right jockey.

Hero only began his career eventing in 2016 and so has very fresh legs! He is a half brother to Bay My Hero who won Rolex Kentucky CCI****. Brought on by a junior rider, but with a break for Leaving Cert exams, Hero has excelled and moved up the levels to CNCJ* (Novice).

He is brave, fast and agile cross country and is the type of horse who brings you round.

He is a very careful show jumper who continues to improve at 1.10/1.15 and has the ability to go to 2*.

He has beautiful movement and has learnt all the Novice dressage movements in the space of a year. He has earned positive praise from judges in every test this year, who believe he has the potential to improve as he continues to learn.

Hero is consistently placed in top quality fields and continues to prove his ability each outing.

This horse is an ideal junior or young rider's horse or would suit an amateur rider looking to progress up the levels.

Based in the Republic of Ireland 40 minutes away from Dublin airport.

A Pair Of Moneys (Monkey) has been produced slowly as an event horse from the age of 3 having shown little potential as a race horse. through the years he has continuously grown and taken me successfully around my first Intermediate, 2*, Advanced and 3*.

He is now a very established Event horse with three strong phases and has a huge amount of potential to make a Junior GBR team.

Monkey is one in a million and is only available to a 5* home. He is ready to show someone the ropes and help take them up through the grades with his kind nature.

Fantastic to do in all ways.

  • Exceptional yard with excellent facilities
  • Solid experience with sensitive confident riding style

Do you have a talented event horse who you would like to see out eventing this year but you don’t have the funds to keep the horse with a professional event rider?

Has your horse already started their eventing career and now looking to receive further training and valuable experience? Or do you have a more experienced horse which loves their job though maybe wants to now drop down a level?

I’m looking to take on an additional event horse (15.3hh+ 6 years+). I have been trained and mentored by top BE Coach & Olympic Event Rider for last 5 years. I am a kind, caring ambitious rider who has regular training with the willing to learn. I have solid variety of experience riding various different types with a sensitive confident riding style and plenty of good results in all 3 disciplines up to 1*.

Exceptional yard, with plenty of turn out and excellent facilities available with full costs funded for the right horse. References and plenty of videos are available on request.
