Honey is probably one of the loveliest ponies we've owned, she has been with us for over 3 years where she has safely looked after my daughter on the hunting field and participated in all PC activities including camp.

Incredibly easy to look after, never bucked, reared, bolted and happy to be led. Good to box, shoe, clip and excellent in traffic.

Currently lives in a busy family environment, very relaxed around children, quad bikes, chickens and hound puppies!

Very sad sale of a super pony that has simply been outgrown, hunting home preferable, references available, serious enquiries only please.

Mr. Fudge (Polborne Riverdance) is a brilliant, little pony which we have owned and loved for over 5 years and he has taught both my younger two children to ride and he has been a MASSIVE success for us. If we could give him a pill to make him grow, we would!!! This is a heartbreaking sale....

Mr. Fudge is a complete character and he's everyone's favourite on the yard because of it!! He has given both my children a passion for hunting and he is well known amongst The Old Berks Field because he is a serious, little machine. He can either sit on the Field Master's tail going over everything put in front of him - rails, sheep hurdles, small hedges, sloping wooden gates, ditches, small walls, electric wire etc and even a log pile last season that was 1 metre 40 high and 2 metres 40 wide (we went back and measured it the next day!!!) or, with a more novice jockey, he will tuck in beside Mummy's horse and happily hunt at the back. He has often been up with The Whip or The Huntsman and he is brilliant with hounds. He will go off on his own with his jockey to open gates, he is happy to stand and chat to her friends at The Meet etc. He has totally astonished Field Masters Up and down the country (The Old Berks, The VWH and The Belvoir) by what he, and his tiny jockey, can get over and he has the stamina to hunt all day...and he has never, ever been sick or sorry or lame in all the time we have owned him. He has never touched a fence out hunting and I trust him entirely to keep my child safe out hunting.

I can lead him off a big horse to exercise him, his tiny jockey can ride him and lead another pony off him and he's perfectly happy on the horsewalker. He's clipped out and in at night in the winter and out more in the summer, he has never had laminitis but he comes in sometimes in the summer if he's looking a bit fat! He hunts on grass and hay with a tiny bit of hard food....

Mr Fudge has been to Pony Club camp (Junior and Mini Camp) every year that we have owned him and he loves it!! In fact, he loves all horsebox / trailer “events” be they pony club rallies, shows, hunter trials etc and he virtually loads himself onto the lorry/ trailer with a smile on his face. Mr. Fudge is a happy, little soul and he really likes to be busy but if he has a few weeks/ days off he is not the sort of pony that is then un-rideable! He is a brilliant little hunting pony but he can also do everything else - he is fast enough to pony race but we have only done a few of these as I am not so sure, from a hunting perspective, that I want him to learn to be in front!!! He is competitive at Pony Club level Pony Racing and came 5th in his first ever race at Cheltenham Race course. He can go out and win a first ridden etc at a local show as he was bred to show and he is beautiful. We have had more success with him at Hunter Trials by putting him in the pairs class, and in the last year, he has been placed every time out - S-J 40 - 60 cm, Hunter Trials, WHP etc. He is brilliant at hunt Fun Rides, quite happy just to follow Mummy's horse and not remotely bothered by others whizzing past him.

The children love him because, despite his sometimes grumpy faces, he adores a cuddle, he lets them kiss him when he’s lying down in the stable etc and he makes me smile each morning because as soon as he hears my footstep on the yard he whinnies to me.

But, and there is a “but” because I don’t believe it’s kind or fair to anyone and most especially not fair to Mr Fudge, not tell the whole story…. Mr. Fudge is a powerful, little pony and he is absolutely NOT for a nervous jockey or a nervous Mummy (!!!) because he is forward going. He is a 2nd pony for a gutsy child, no younger than 8yrs old, who LOVES their hunting. Mr. Fudge is perfectly capable of whipping round if a pheasant flies up beside him, he loves a good shy and the odd small buck - my children find all this funny - he makes the most appalling faces in the stable, he's quite capable of nipping (not biting hard) an unsuspecting passer by (he has great entertainment when there are builders in the yard!!) and, if his jockey should become unseated, Mr.Fudge is off - either to find the one place to gallop over that he is absolutely not meant to gallop over (my husband's prize vegetable garden!!!) or, if out hunting, he is off to find hounds before his jockey has dusted herself off!!! Mr. Fudge is the pony that will teach your child to ride and, at some point, if your child wants to go on and compete/ jump hedges out hunting etc – they do need to actually learn to ride properly!!! If they come into a fence on the buckle end of the reins, he will stop, if they take a bad angle into a show jump he won’t jump it etc but he has given both my children such confidence, that last summer, his tiny 9 yr old jockey got one of my 16.1 hunters fit from start to finish!!!

He is easy to clip (needs a twitch for his head), good for the farrier, he loads himself onto the horsebox or trailer and he comes with a full set of tack (hunting bridle with breastplate, everyday / showing bridle and a really nice little saddle) plus a rug wardrobe for indoors and out!!! He has a small lump beneath a front knee, which happened as a result of a kick in his last home - we had it thoroughly checked out when we had him vetted five years ago and the conclusion of the 5 star vetting was that it would never cause him problems - and it hasn't. His teeth, inoculations and worming are all up to date.

We want to find the perfect home for Mr.Fudge and we will only sell him to the right family which MUST be a hunting mad family, like us. For the right child / family Mr. Fudge is the pony of a lifetime - so much so, that for my eldest daughter we have just gone out and bought a 15.2hh version of Mr. Fudge!!!

There are plenty more photos and a video of him X-C schooling which I can email on request. Serious enquiries only please.

14.2hh exceptional grey exciting Sports Horse x Connemara. 10 year old that would suit a Pony Club / hunting or family sharing home.

Has done everything, been there and done that. Super attitude and willing. Hacks alone or in company, good to shoe, clip, box etc. No vices.

Bo has been very sadly outgrown. She has three lovely paces and jumps beautifully.

She is easy to do all ways. She will be sadly missed.
