This is a heart-breaking sale of our daughter's beautiful Mount Pleasant Leading Lady. Lady is one of the most versatile ponies in the South West and could go on in any sphere and be successful. Although dressage is her forte, she has had a very varied competitive life with us over 2 years, having been trained by some of the top coaches in the UK in both dressage, show jumping and eventing, including Jonquil (U18 GB Coach), Hannah Biggs (Dressage) Emily Lee (Eventing) Stephen Hadley (Showjumping), Nicola Cooper (Dressage). Lady has naturally balanced paces which has lead to her incredible success in dressage with outstanding scores of 16.5 in eventing and 72.6 in British Dressage.

Lady not only goes beautifully and politely on the flat, but she will also very happily clear a course of 85cm without any fuss. Lady has done some cross country, skips over skinnies, ditches and runs through water and over logs and brushes and therefore with a little more experience, could make an exceptional event pony as her dressage would put her in first place every time. Lady could also return to her routes of showing and become a successful Riding Pony, show hunter or plaited worker.

Lady has qualified for and attended many championships, NSEA, NPS, Pony Club and has competed at some large venues, Addington, Bicton, Pontispool and most memorable of all Dressage Champs at Badminton House in May of this year. She has attended pony club camp and rallies and goes to weekly training sessions with Millfield School both on the flat and jumping where she always behaves impeccably. Lady will hack out on her own or with others and is so easy to handle on the flat by children, never bargy or impolite. She will stand happily on or tied up to a lorry all day long, patiently waiting her turn and is well behaved in a warm up arena whilst all around her is chaos.

This is a heart-breaking sale of an outstanding competition pony who at the tender age of 8 has got so much more in her to go on to achieve. She is my daughters pride and joy and will only be sold to the very best of homes where she will continue to be loved and competed. I have hundreds of photos of Lady competing in all disciplines and some videos on Youtube under Jenni Monks. Lady is available to be viewed this weekend.

**BEWARE**

BOGUS EMAILS & BUYERS!

Ref #: 22412

Increasing numbers of internet advertisers are receiving emails from bogus buyers, attempting to scam sellers

This tactic is a worldwide problem; however it would appear to be on the rise in the equine industry, targeting everything from horses and ponies for sale, to horseboxes, trailers and tack

**EXAMPLE SCAM ALERT**

We've been informed of a new email scam doing the rounds. This time the scam email in commonly coming from ‘Travis Bennett’ & 'Cynthia PT', asking a list of questions & offering to transfer a deposit and payment for shipping. Please ignore this email and if you have time report it to Action Fraud, for more details click HERE

In another instance the scammer will contact you via email asking if your horse is still for sale, this will be followed by an email containing 23 questions as shown on the picture on the left. Please do not respond to this email. Sorry for any inconvenience caused and rest assured we are doing our best to combat this.

Another scam which is particularly common, is  when theadvertiser is contacted about an item, asking for more images, and then once the images have been received the bogus buyer will agree to send a cheque for the full amount.  At this point the seller is asked to email their full contact details to enable the buyer to send payment. The seller is then contacted again saying that the cost of shipping has accidently been included on the cheque, and could the seller forward the cost of shipment onto a courier, which is also bogus

These scams can vary, however emails are often written in broken English and written in an over friendly style.  We urge HorseQuest customers to respond to email enquiries with caution. If something sounds too good to be true, it often is!

If you think you’ve been scammed then we strongly recommend that you contact the police

We have owned Rascal since Sept 2014. He was previously a member of the Welsh Byrds being a regular member of their Inter Regional, Home International and Sheepgate teams. He was also National PC Novice Dengie Champion in 2013.

Rascal is an eye catching pony, a true gent and has 3 very good paces. Whilst he was competing Elementary when he came to us, he went back to Prelim with our daughter initially, showing her the ropes and has taught her so much and taken her on a great journey! He has been an active member of Byrds Southern and Dressage U21's UK, attending numerous training camps and competitions. They have worked their way back through the levels, (see BD records), to now be 1st reserve for the GB Pony Progress Squad this year.

He has exemplary stable manners, will travel long distances with ease, settles immediately and works in calmly at competitions.

He is fine to clip, farrier, load and all his teeth and vaccinations are up to date. He also has clean vetinary records which are open to inspection.
