Snowie was bought for my 6 year old daughter at the beginning of the year. She was advertised for £850 and we paid £700 (without tack). She has never really settled with us and is too much of a dominant character for her inexperienced owners.

She requires some schooling, she bucks rather than canters, this is not due to an ill fitted saddle. She also doesn't seem to lunge well.  I think she just needs some time spent on her with someone more able than myself and  I get the impression she hadn't been ridden for a while  before I bought her

She has primarily been a lead rein pony. She does enjoy being ridden and goes well in company.

Snowie is easy to box, shoe and catch. She loves human company

I just feel she is in the wrong home, we need something older.

Honest sale, please contact me for more information, collection can be negotiated.

Hendrewen Rachel by Freeway Prince. Extremely smart 15hh Welsh D mare.

Poppy has been turned away for the last 6 months to mature but is now ready to come back into work or make a lovely brood mare.

She was successfully shown as a 4 and 5 year old in hand, ridden and working hunter classes.

She was always perfectly behaved in the ring, easy to do and not phased by anything.

She is a very sweet, willing mare and always wants to please.

I feel she would be best suited to a riding club / hunting / hacking home as although she will happily pop a small course of jumps, she doesn't have the ability or strength in her hocks currently to compete at a higher level.

Equally she would be a great brood mare for someone wanting to breed quality, traditional Welsh D's and she has great breeding. She is good to catch, shoe, box etc.

This is a very sad decision but I just don't have the time she deserves.

I am completely open to offers as a good home is my main priority for my lovely genuine pony.

Delivery avaliable.

Lead Rein Pony - possibly Second Ridden with an Experienced Rider.  The time has come to part with our much loved family pony Coco. We have owned Coco for 4 years. He has provided us with a lot of lovely memories and we will miss his cheeky nature.

We are advertising him as a lead rein as unfortunately he is not a first ridden type. Our daughter has ridden him since she was two and he has happily plodded around the lanes eating the lead rope to going to pony club camp last summer and having a brilliant time where he was impeccably behaved throughout.

Coco loves people, loves attention and enjoys pottering around the village with a little person on board. He is super at mounted games and last season he was the fastest pony at minimus camp! He will happily lead from another horse.

He loads and travels well. Is up to date with teeth, vaccinations and feet. He is good for the vet and farrier alike and is currently barefoot (has been all his life). No laminitis or sweet-itch

He has a very cheeky nature in true Dartmoor style. Ideally he needs a companion whilst at home, but will happily travel and attend events alone without issue.

Re: his quirky nature

Whilst looking for an illusive first ridden pony this winter, I read a lot of adverts and visited a lot of ponies and always came home with a belief that Coco was a much better pony than the ponies I had just viewed, if only I could amend his attitude towards being a first ridden pony. None the less I have had a lot of my time wasted this past winter and therefore I feel it is important to provide honest details of him. He is a lovely pony and has a lot to offer. Please feel free to come and view him and see what you think.

These are his quirks:

We have mostly used Coco as a lead rein which is what suits him best, however we have also used Coco as a first ridden however he does not like the first ridden role and will buck, not large bucks but enough to unseat an insecure novice rider. We have had his back, legs and saddle checked to rule out any issues, the vet confirmed he is absolutely fine, no issues there at all. She performed flexion tests and thoroughly checked his back over including checking the fit of the saddle and gave him the all clear. Sadly it is just his attitude as with a lot of ponies re. first ridden roles!

We have a grill on his door as he can try it on when left alone and bunny hop/ attempt to jump his stable door (which can go with him if you wish). With company though plus the grill, he is absolutely fine. Since 2013 we only had an issue once and never again. He has been a joy to have on the yard and will be sadly missed. Everyone who meets him says what a lovely pony he is, he has bags of character which has made us all very fond of him.

We have an ex-broodmare and he has been known to mount her. We separate him from her when she is in season, he is in the field next to her and is often found lying right next to the fence where he is sleeping with her watching over him! We have had him checked and tested to make sure he was a gelding just for peace of mind and all results were negative and confirmed he is a gelding. Our ex-broodmare teases him on a lot. He has been smitten with her since she arrived. He has been turned out with my other mare since 2013 with no issues at all.

He is open to vet either 2 or 5 stage as required, more than happy for you to contact our vet, farrier etc.

I don't have any videos of him on lead rein, purely because I have usually been leading him!

He comes with all his tack and rugs (5'3). (Our new pony has come with a full wardrobe and therefore we no longer require his tack and the rugs are too big for our new pony, therefore we are happy to include his wardrobe).

Priced to sell at £950.00 o.n.o Home is more important than price.

No dealers.

Thank you

Caris is a lovely natured mare, easy to do in all ways. Ideal for someone looking for an all round pony to have fun with. Currently being hacked out both by myself and my daughter - she'd be a perfect family pony. She hacks out alone and in company, a lovely forward ride but also safe and sensible. She has so much to offer, a really versatile sort.

Can live in or out, and is always the same whether she's ridden once a week or once a month - a really straight forward, uncomplicated pony.

She has produced some lovely quality foals in the past so could also be used as a broodmare.

Excellent breeding going back to many of the older bloodlines including Nebo Black Magic on her sire`s side and Derwen Replica on her dam`s.

Maicha has been regularly ridden by young children over the last couple of years. Currently ridden by a small 8 year old. She has attended pc rally's. Excellent at mounted games.

Jumps well. She is a forward going little pony so ideal on the lead rein or off lead rein for a competent little jockey. She's not a kick along just off the lead rein type.

Still owned by her breeder.

Timbersbrook Maximus 13hh - rising 5 (D.O.B 11.07.2012) - OFFERS INVITED

Max is a well bred registered Section B bay gelding, who is totally unspoilt and ready to back (see breeding details in pics). He is a lovely well mannered pony who is great to handle and has never tried to bite or kick. He has his feet trimmed regularly and is up to date with worming, farrier and vaccinations.

Max has begun his education and is now ready to be backed, he has taken everything we have done with him so far in his stride and is a confident, quick learner and I have no doubt will progress rapidly under saddle. He has had full tack on, been lunged, he has been worked over poles, been led out in hand on hacks with other horses, loaded and travelled well in a 7.5t wagon & a trailer, both with other horses and alone.

He is full of character and a “look at me” attitude and will undoubtedly excel in the show ring as he moves beautifully. He would be fabulous shown as either M&M or pulled & plaited. Max is clean limbed and ready to go. Turns out in all kinds of company and no matter the time of day or size of field he always comes to call.

This is a very sad sale as my intention was to keep him and show him ourselves this season but unfortunatley my daughters horse is now out of action for the foreseeable future following two operations. We are looking to buy her another whilst he recuperates and honestly I simply can not keep 3, therefore I am open to reasonable offers, a 10* home is very important to me, I would love to be able to keep in touch and see how he progresses as I really think he is special and will go a long way. Price is negotiable to the right home as this is really important to me

Polo hacks out alone and in company and has been used for shepherding.

She has competed at local show jumping and jumps with ease. Turning tight corners and very careful not to knock the poles.

For sale as i don't have a small jockey to ride her and do her justice.

I feel Polo would make an ideal childs second pony or for a small adult. She certainly has a future in M&M working hunter.

Owned for two and a half years and now without a rider. Attended pony club rallies and mini camp, hacks out in company or alone, happily leads from another horse, she has good pace so moves on and keeps up well. Has excelled at mounted games, hunted, show jumps either on or off lead rein and has done xc.

A seasoned pony that knows her job and has lots of experience. In previous homes she has shown, she is exceptionally well bred and has a real stand out quality. Ideal in the school as she is responsive, being light off the leg and hand. She is not a kick along, she knows her job and always tries to please.

Good to load in a trailer or a lorry, happy with dogs, village life, cars and tractors, farrier etc. Attended summer camp and rallies, mini shows where she very much knows the form.

Lots of video and pictures. Home very important, she is wasted here, used more as a companion to other horses but to be fair to her she now needs a new family to have fun with.

Turns out with mares or geldings. Good to do in all respects.

**BEWARE**

BOGUS EMAILS & BUYERS!

Ref #: 22412

Increasing numbers of internet advertisers are receiving emails from bogus buyers, attempting to scam sellers

This tactic is a worldwide problem; however it would appear to be on the rise in the equine industry, targeting everything from horses and ponies for sale, to horseboxes, trailers and tack

**EXAMPLE SCAM ALERT**

We've been informed of a new email scam doing the rounds. This time the scam email in commonly coming from ‘Travis Bennett’ & 'Cynthia PT', asking a list of questions & offering to transfer a deposit and payment for shipping. Please ignore this email and if you have time report it to Action Fraud, for more details click HERE

In another instance the scammer will contact you via email asking if your horse is still for sale, this will be followed by an email containing 23 questions as shown on the picture on the left. Please do not respond to this email. Sorry for any inconvenience caused and rest assured we are doing our best to combat this.

Another scam which is particularly common, is  when theadvertiser is contacted about an item, asking for more images, and then once the images have been received the bogus buyer will agree to send a cheque for the full amount.  At this point the seller is asked to email their full contact details to enable the buyer to send payment. The seller is then contacted again saying that the cost of shipping has accidently been included on the cheque, and could the seller forward the cost of shipment onto a courier, which is also bogus

These scams can vary, however emails are often written in broken English and written in an over friendly style.  We urge HorseQuest customers to respond to email enquiries with caution. If something sounds too good to be true, it often is!

If you think you’ve been scammed then we strongly recommend that you contact the police
