I've got to start this little update by thanking HorseQuest!

This month has been particularly exciting due to the arrival of my new pony. I've been scanning adverts on Horse Quest for the past few months, and thanks to them I've finally found one.

So, the new pony in question is called Freddie, and his show name is Aughnacliff Boy. Don't ask me how to spell it or pronounce it, because I can't! His worst fault is his colour, white, which on entry to his new field was redefined, and due to our red soil, he is now a shade of pink! On the plus side while being lovely and calm to handle, he is a big bouncy ball of energy when you jump him, so I'm happy!

As usual with us we had to travel quite far to try him, so we made sure we had more than one to see - however this did mean leaving at 4am. We took him on a hack first where he strode out with enthusiasm and then I popped him over a few jumps - by the end we knew he was for me. This left the agonising wait for the vetting. It was at 3pm a week later, so I got tons of school work done that day..Not! But he passed so Dad and I traipsed back across the country to pick him up.

While back in the ring I've had some good results. With Rue she won both the Newcomers and Foxhunter at Bicton Arena. While Herbie excelled in the British Novice 2nd round at Badgworth, where he took 2nd.  Freddie's first show went well, despite my arms being a couple inches longer by the end of the round, he was very good and just had a couple poles in the Newcomers jump off. Great building block for the future, and am super excited for the summer holidays! :)
