Duke - 16yrs 15.1hh Bay Gelding

  • Cranbornes Summer Song aka Duke
  • 16yr old 15.1hh bay gelding
  • By Colebeach Nightlight and Hollyhill Mistique.

Duke is a great all rounder, who has done a bit of everything. He will happily jump, hack alone and in company (although he can be strong in company) do dressage and show.

Duke would make a brilliant veteran show horse for those looking to dip their toes into the showing world as he has shown right up to the top levels and qualified for Hoys and RIHS so not a lot fazes this lad.

He's great in traffic, from tractors to wagons and motorbikes, even things that werent there yesterday. He's great for the farrier, vet and dentist. Stands to be clipped and will stand tied and fall asleep.

Duke loads and travels well, but needs the partition out to stand happily in a trailer. Wagons are not an issue for him.

He currently lives out barefoot in a mixed herd and winters out with a variety of rugs. He will stable overnight too if required. He does have summer allergies and can get itchy but thats easily controlled with a sheet.

Duke however brilliant he is, isn't suitable for a novice. He needs to be in regular work to be his best self and he can test his person until trust is built.

He comes with a full wardrobe, and is open to vettings.

Based near Kelso in the Scottish Borders.

  • Would suit a home with other horses and access to a stable in bad weather
  • She loves polo mints !!
Connie is a very sweet mare now 26 years old and looking for a home as a light hacker or just as a companion Horse.

Connie is an ex racehorse although she retired age 7. She is a thoroughbred who has had a full life with lots of experience. She prefers to hack out with company.

She would suit a home where she has horsey friends and access to a stable in bad weather.

Connie is easy to handle and is very friendly towards horses and people.

She will do anything for a polo mint! She needs rugs and regular feeding. She does need some encouragement loading sometimes.

She has been out of work for the past three months due to my personal circumstances.

Up-to-date with worming teeth and feet.

She would be free to a good home. I am looking for someone experienced in caring for older horses who can give her the love and attention she deserves. I would need a loan agreement which outlines care expectations, regular updates and return condition. I would also do a Home check and require references to ensure she’s going to a knowledgeable and caring environment. Happy to chat if that’s easier.

Been there done that, Fun, Competitive Show Jumper

Ref #: 385611
  • Ideal mother/daughter/son allrounder
  • Super bold show jumper
  • Impeccable manners
£10,000 ONO
  • Connemara
  • Fleabitten grey
  • Gelding
  • 17 years
  • 15 hands
  • Ideal mother/daughter/son allrounder
  • Super bold show jumper
  • Impeccable manners
One in a Million Connemara, knows his job and loves his job! A real part of the family pony whose loved by everyone!

I’ve had the pleasure of owning Duke for 6 years and in that time he has taken me from jumping 90cm to 1m15 and 1m30 at home. Everyone who knows Duke knows how unbelievably special he is.

Duke does everything and anything from hunting to show jumping he has done it all! He has a record competing at 1m10/1m15, BS and unaffiliated. He absolutely loves his jumping, he is strong, quick and competitive . He would be the perfect 90cm/1m/1m05 competitor for a young child/teenager to have some fun on. He would be great at teaching a young competitive child the ropes!

He really is part of the family and on the ground he can be handled by a toddler! Idea mother/daughter share as he loves beach rides, fun rides and long hacks. He is an absolute cross country machine and will jump everything and anything put in front of him. He is the bravest horse I’ve ever met with an absolute heart of gold. All good to clip, shoe, load etc, the usual.

This is the hardest thing I will ever have to do and homes will be vetted. I am of course open to any and every question regarding Duke as his new home is the most important thing to me.

He’s wasted potential at the moment and needs to be out having fun! I have loads more photos and videos on request.

ARPÉGE DE BLAIGNAC – The Ultimate Dressage Schoolmaster & Gentleman

Ref #: 391786

  • Confident performer
POA
  • Selle Francais
  • Fleabitten grey
  • Gelding
  • 15 years
  • 16.3 hands
  • Kind, genuine schoolmaster
  • Established at Advanced Medium
  • Confident performer

Meet Arpége, a true professional with a golden temperament and a wealth of experience. With three expressive, uphill paces and a naturally balanced way of going, he is a joy to ride every day.

Having successfully evented up to 4* level in France, Arpége has seen and done it all. However, he’s now ready for a new chapter — one that allows him to channel his talent, elegance, and education into pure dressage, where he truly shines.

This is not a sale through injury. Arpége loves his work and enjoys his jumping, but it’s clear his heart now lies in the dressage arena. Confidently established at Advanced Medium level, he has competed in big atmospheres and always carries himself with grace and presence.

He would be the ideal partner for a rider who wants to learn the movements, build confidence, and gain competition experience on a horse who is both talented and kind. Whether you’re aiming to move up the levels or simply want to enjoy the feel of a well-schooled, generous horse, Arpége is the perfect teacher.

A very sad sale of a much-loved horse, so only the best 5* home will be considered.
Open to full vetting.

A true gentleman ready to share his wisdom and begin a new chapter in the dressage arena.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Bought for non Horsey partner learning to ride

A gentle comfortable and responsive kick along type. Very light in the mouth. A willing arm chair ride.

Someone has clearly put the time in schooling her.

She likes to hack in company having been in a trekking centre . It isnt a quirk per se she is a herd animal who's had a life in company.

She's lovely in the school a smooth comfort ride that feels safe as she's so n and smooth and listens to your aids.

Great over ground poles I've no doubt she'd be up for a clear round.

An empathetic mare. A real mother hen type. She deserves a permanent home so I'm being very choosy.

Serious Enquiries only please. She's quite unfit but you can hop on after weeks off no issue. Fitness reflects price and only available as im having surgery and I'm the Horsey one. Partner isn't Horsey enough to take over fully long term for me. Hence sad decision.

This is a hard to find sort of horse.

Hope is a very sweet 18 years young mare with still plenty of life in her. She has been in the same home for 13 years and is only for sale due to young family and time constraints.

Hope is always forward going and keen to please. She has competed at lots of unaffiliated dressage, showjumping and x country 80/90cm and has done a few BE90s. Hope has brought home many rosettes and smiley faces over the years.

Hope loves her jumping and is never spooky. She will jump filers, water trays, water, ditches etc in the arena and out on the x country field.

Hope is a pleasure to hack. Never spooky or nappy. She will go out alone or in company with her ears forward and a spring to her step.

No novices please as she can be forward going and sharp at times, and does require a confident rider to bring the best out of her when jumping.

Hope has a lovely temperament and is very easy to do. She is easy to catch, shoe, clip , box etc.

Vaccinations and teeth are up to date. Regular shoeing.
Tack and rugs included.

Please only honest and genuine enquiries only, as this is a very sad sale of a beloved horse.

Compact and smart horse. Successfully evented up to 4* level, jumping clear xc at Burnham Market, Aston and Blair 4* shorts and completing Blenheim 4* Long in 2023.

He does have an old tendon injury, which has been stem celled, rehabbed and correctly brought back into work. The vets were very happy with his last scan and given the go ahead to start eventing again, has done 3 events this season and leg looks very good.

Has had a quiet year as I broke my wrist in the Spring, so had been ticking over with a 17yo boy who works part time for us. He then took him to Chard GoBE100 and finished 2nd, before jumping double clear at West Wilts 100open with just time faults dropping him out the top 10.

Whilst we feel it’s not fair to try and get him back to 4* level he still has a lot to give someone, whether its pure dressage or show jumping or low level event (we think maybe 100/Novice/2*).

Super paces and scored 31 at 4* level and 27 at 3*, double clear at Advanced and lots of placings at intermediate level.

Super easy to do at home and at events, hacked out by his owner who’s mid 70s.

Lovely character and person.

Very good to shoe, clip, load etc

15 year old, Spanish sports horse 15.3hh gelding all rounder

A very sad sale due to his owner moving away.

Pedro is a real genuine gentleman who loves fuss and cuddles, he has three good paces and has previously show jumped before joining our dressage livery yard so we have now mainly produced his flat work, he is a pro at long reining and still does lots of pole work.

He hacks out well best in company, and is always up for a good canter on our local common, So he really is a great all rounder and turns his hoof to anything you put him up to.

Pedro would suit a confident rider as he has a big canter and can look for confidence in his rider, he would make a great teenagers horse for someone looking to learn a bit of everything and have some fun or someone with confidence and experience would compliment him well.

5* home over anything else for this gorgeous kind boy and would like for his next home to be his forever home

Romeo is a fantastic first horse, he’s a leg in each corner, overgrown pony. He may be of an age but he is still very keen to continue and enjoys his work as much as ever. Previously competed upto 1m but more suited to 70/80cms now, he will teach anybody the ropes around a dressage test and finds his own stride around the jumping being very careful he’s a little clear round horse and loves the technicality of the arena eventing courses and wouldn’t run away xc

He will make someone very happy for pony club/ riding club or equally to just play at home and do clinics ect.

Quirks-
Romeo isn’t a fan of hacking past large vehicles so not ideal for a novice in this area although is perfect in open spaces so someone with off road hacking will have a great time with him
Romeo has always traveled in a lorry so on the one occasion of tavelling in a trailer he wasn’t great but could travel with no partition.
He has always run through the stable door he’s just not a fan of narrow spaces hence his 3 little quirks but beside that he’s a brilliant best friend to anyone wanting a horse with lots of experience

Same home for the past 7years
Up to date with everything
Much loved family pet

There is potential that Leah will stay alone for short periods of time. Making her the ideal companion for any ridden horse or pony.

Can you offer Leah a loving home?

Bea is fantastic in the school, safe and precise. Nicely forward but not crazy, she’s a great school mistress. She knows her moves having evented for many years. A dressage queen.

Due to arthritis which has been medicated and a success she is in full work but can only jump occasionally to 70cm. She wears P3 pads and a full set of shoes to keep her comfortable. She wouldn’t be able to jump all the time, we are looking for more of a dressage home with the odd jump.

She’s a careful jumper and doesn’t get silly. She’s beautifully schooled

To hack she needs a more confident rider than me! She is great in traffic but forward going in groups. She will go alone but takes her confidence from her rider.

If you’re interested pop me a message or call anytime.

Brendon – 15hh Welsh x WB Gelding, 16yrs

Brendon is the ultimate confidence-giving allrounder who has truly done it all. Competing successfully up to 1m show jumping, winning in the working hunter ring, and confidently schooled across country, he’s the type of horse who makes every rider feel safe and capable. Always genuine to a fence and never tricky, he’s a real partner who loves his job.

Out hacking, Brendon is as safe as they come – totally reliable in traffic, happy alone or in company, and consistently sensible in every situation. Whether you’re looking for a horse to learn and progress with, or a reliable mother/daughter share, Brendon fits the bill perfectly.

On the ground, he’s a dream to handle: excellent to catch, clip, shoe, load, and travel. He’s polite in the stable, loves a pamper, and is easy enough for both adults and children to manage.

Brendon really is a once-in-a-lifetime type – kind, genuine, and endlessly versatile. He’s ready now to give his next rider years of fun, confidence, and success, both at home and out competing.

Wefan Kelowna (Kallie)
15.1 dark bay 16 year old Welsh partbred mare.

Kallie has done all pony club activities, she rides nicely on the flat and has a very scopey jump in her.
She is great to hunt, forward but safe.
She hacks nicely alone and in company.

She would suit an experienced rider as she can become strong jumping and out hunting and can occasionally nap.
She hasn’t competed a lot recently but certainly has the scope to do so, happily jumping 90cm/1m at home.

Kallie is excellent in traffic and very good to clip shoe and catch. We load her in a chifney as she can get a bit bargy. Once on board she travels quietly and is happy to stand on the box at events.

Kallie is up to date with vaccinations and worming. At present she has a capped hock which is being treated and going down nicely.

Coco has been in the same home for the past 3 years and taken young girl from low level to happily jumping round 90cm/1m.
she has low mileage for her age and hasn't been hammered.

Coco would happily do anything asked of her she hacks out alone or in company, recently XC schooled and was brave and bold over everything asked of her.
she's done lots of unaffiliated shows, behaves brilliantly and gives you a good confident ride in the ring.

Coco is well schooled on the flat would do a good dressage test and moves well enough to do working hunters.

Would excel as mother daughter share/Pony club home or someone that would like to do a bit of everything.

Shes good to load/travel, shoe, clip etc.
