Ciara is a lovely older horse now who is looking for a nice loving home. She has previously competed up to 135cm 2* level including international wins and placings.
She is so fast and careful against the clock and loves to win.
She had a break from the competitive circuit and we decided it would be nice to get some foals off her for a few years, in that time she has had 4 lovely foals who continue to follow in her successful footsteps.
We have now decided to bring her back into work and she is showing that she still wants a job to do. She is ready to go again and would be suitable for someone to jump some smaller tracks and have some fun winning on her again, although she is older now her mileage still is not high and we would consider leasing her to the right home considering her age.
The right home is essential for this special mare.

I have owned Inka for 6 years and she has now retired from jumping. Now looking for a quieter life. She has been a lovely friend and successful showjumper for me and loves to work.

She is no longer able to compete, but will make a super hack and general ride, and would be fine at low levels of dressage. I cannot fault her, she is very easy to handle, shoe, box, groom etc. and would never hurt you.

I am very fond of Inka and would like her to find a new home where she will still be ridden. She is very safe and I jumped on her after 3 months in the field and she was as good as gold. I put her over a couple of cross poles as she loves to jump, but please understand the odd jump in the school is OK, but she will not compete now. She prefers her own field, and is fine with horses next to her.

It is very important she finds a kind and loving home, and I will need reassurance before she parts company with me.

Please Whattsapp me so I can send videos.

Meet Peanut, a kind-natured and easy-going mare who’s looking for a companion-only home where she can enjoy a peaceful, loving environment.

Peanut is good to handle in all ways—she’s calm, respectful on the ground, stands well for the farrier and vet, and enjoys being groomed and fussed over. She’s the type of horse that makes daily care a pleasure.

Peanut has previously lived happily in a herd of mares and could be gently introduced to gelding companions as well. While she’s ideally suited to a home with other horses, she may be able to stay alone for short periods once she’s fully settled, especially with human companionship and a stable routine.

Sylw (pronounced Sa-loo) is a Welsh mare seeking a companion home.

She is kind-natured, easy to be around, and good to handle in all aspects of her care. From grooming to leading and having her feet picked out, Sylw is polite and well-mannered, making her a pleasure to work with on the ground.

She is now seeking a quiet, one-to-one home where she can enjoy plenty of attention and a steady routine. Sylw would thrive with someone who has the time to give her companionship and consistency, and in return she will offer plenty of affection and a calm, reliable presence.

As a companion mare, Sylw would be a wonderful addition to the right home, she’s settled, gentle, and looking for a person to call her own. If you’re searching for a sweet equine friend to share your days with, Sylw could be just the one.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Evie is a beautiful quality mare.

Easy to do in every why. Catch, load ( trailer or lorry) lives in or out. Happy with mares or gelding’s or on her own.

Has been looked after by my 14 year old daughter with no problems. Riding on her own, loading her into the trailer, catching her.

She loves fun rides where she will jump everything. Been trail hunting with my daughter and was great.

Evie however doesn’t want to compete anymore so would not suit a pony club home, hence this reluctant sale.

She is excellent with the vet, farrier and goes to sleep when clipped!

She has some past health issues which I am willing to discuss.

Boss is a lovely chap who is no way near ready to hang up his shoes yet and has a lot to offer a rider who wants a fun all rounder to do a bit of everything with who enjoys a safe yet forward going ride who still has a bit of sparkle. Boss has been in his current home for the past few years and has done a bit of everything with them at unaffiliated level. His rider is now off travelling and then on to uni so he must look for a new partner. He’s been sound, fit and healthy throughout ownership.

He has mainly done showjumping, he’s a very careful and clean jumper- never stopped at a fence and makes a lovely shape. He has done a few BS classes at 85/90 in previous home. He also loves cross country and was very successful in ODE’s with his previous owner.

He happily hacks alone or in company and is a very relaxed and laid back character on the ground - perfect to load, tack up, farrier etc. Although he is very safe and experienced, he requires a competent and quiet rider as he is a forward thinking ride who likes best to have minimal rider interference and needs a rider with an independent seat and a stable lower leg so not for a wobbly novice! He is off the aids and keen and a lot of fun. He still has many years of fun left in him as he loves his job! The ideal home for him would be someone wanting to progress their jumping from 60/70 to 90/1m, and just have lots of fun with him!

He has hunted in previous home and would be a wicked fun Mum / hunt mad child share.

Billy is a brave jumping machine having competed up to 1.30 and still competing at 1.20 level this year when I bought her for my daughter as a first horse, my daughter has been out of riding for 3yrs and unfortunately I have over horsed her.

Billy is a confident young riders horse as she is brave and forward and has proved too hot for my daughter as the does the odd buck at home, she does not do it out at a show or arena hire/lesson (vids to prove this) but my daughter needs a horse she can practice on at home and build her confidence up again.

Billy is not strong, she goes in a snaffle and she is easy to bring back to after a fence.

Super genuine horse, type hard to find, perfect for a mother/daughter share to hack/ jump do all riding club activity’s she has been there done it brought the t-shirt type.

This is a super hard decision for me and something I have been putting off but if I can find her the perfect home she will give someone else so much joy and happiness and with my daughter now riding I am just having less and less time to ride or compete.

I have mainly show jumped her and she has jumped up to 1.15m we won the 1.05 welsh masters in 2023 with me being very much an amateur! She has won over £900 BSJA but now she is more comfortable jumping 80/90cm tracks.

She was also the first horse I ever evented and she took me easily around the 100BE tracks and loves her cross country! Last year I had an itch to go eventing again so went out and brought all new gear and we did a GOBE 90 with no cross country schooling or practice and she went double clear! She is not a dressage diva but this isn’t something I am interested in, but if that’s what you are looking for she won’t be for you!

She also won her only ever working hunter class she competed in.

I literally pick her up from not riding for weeks as I am too busy and she is always the same, doesn’t buck, rear, nap, happy to hack out in company or alone amazing in the heaviest of traffic, and she really has just the loveliest temperament she is very easy, I take to any shows alone and can always rely on her being mannerly.

She travels beautifully in a 7.5 tonne lorry but has to travel in the trailer on her own with no partition and a long breast bar which is how I travel her and she is fine.

Please only ring if you are seriously interested this is a very, very hard sale for me.

Stunning 16hh Dutch warmbood school mistress.

Dee is a special girl looking for a special home, ideally with someone who is experienced with competition horses and wanting to get out and have some low level fun on.

She has excellent ground manners but can be spooky so not for a novice.

Jumped bs up to 130 in her earlier career and then had a couple of foals due to her exceptional breeding. She was jumping bronze league prior to us buying her a year ago.

Unfortunately jumping she has proved too much for my teenage daughter so am wanting to find her a fun and active home to do what she does best.

Good to clip, with the farrier and to load and travel. Up to date with vaccinations.

Pip is a truly wonderful just turned 18 year-old mare with low mileage for her age and a heart of gold. I’ve had the pleasure of owning her for nearly 10 years, and this is a very difficult, genuine sale due to personal circumstances.

She stands at approx. 15.3/16hh and is ridden in a snaffle with three lovely, forward paces. Flatwork isn’t her strongest area, but she tries hard and will improve with regular schooling. Pip loves to go out for a hack she’s confident and great in traffic, can be a bit more forward in a group but never silly.

Jumping is Pip’s passion – she’s competed successfully at 70–90cm and has scope to go higher. She’s bold and confident cross-country, and has also been out hunting – can be forward-going, but always safe and pulls up when asked. She also loves beach and pleasure rides.

On the ground, Pip has role model behaviour – she’s kind, calm, and easy to handle, stands for the vet, dentist, farrier, and physio. Pip is also great around dogs.

Pip would best suit a confident forward rider looking to enjoy low-level competition, hacking, or the odd day hunting.

Very sad and honest sale of a much-loved mare. Please, no time wasters – 5* home essential.

Cosmo

Don’t be put off by his age there’s plenty of life left in him.

Cosmo would suit a confident teen or small adult who wants to go out and have fun out jumping or enjoying some hacking but equally would be happy for a child to pop on him and have a bit of fun. He very much likes to have a job and is kept busy.

He hacks alone and in company, even though he’s better alone as he can get hotheaded even though he is never dangerous just can jog and gets slightly worked up.

Cosmo will comfortably jump around courses of 85 cm and single fences of 1m10. He loves his jumping and will take anyone around a course.

He is good to load, clip and shoe (currently shod on his front) and he’s up to date with all vaccinations and teeth.

Cosmo has a couple of medical conditions that all can be discussed and are all solved with easy management.

He has been in the same home for the last 10 years and is very much loved and will not just be sold to anyone; hence this is a very sad sale sadly due to having no job and being wasted currently.

Plenty of photos and videos on request and all homes will be vetted. He will come with full wardrobe and tack.

Located Middlesbrough north east.
