London Tilly Trotter - Doodle is far from your typical chestnut mare!

Forward going, safe ride with a temperament and ground manners to die for, she has turned her hoof to everything. As a 4yr old she qualified for all eligible NPS finals.

Competed under lights without calmers or plugs. Regularly competed in dressage including numerous wins at Novice consistently scoring 70% +. Although I don't jump she has popped some poles and logs with a junior, never hesitating with plenty of natural scope. WPCS medalled every year when shown as a youngster inhand- and will happily switch between jobs at the same show!

Hacks alone or in company down 60mph roads and in open spaces, has been to the beach & loved the water. Travels alone & in company, in a trailer or lorry. Good to catch, shoe, clip. Excellent with dogs and is regularly handled and ridden by my 18month old grandson. Straight mover and completely unblemished

With her exceptional talent and temperament, this lovely mare will succeed in wherever her path takes her, be it mother/daughter share, competitive teenagers ride or showings next superstar.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to sell Morgan (Pouncehill Flash Lad). He is a very genuine and loving gelding, just turned 14 years old, but unfortunately we are not suited.

He only came to me just over 4 months ago with the aim of restoring my confidence after a riding accident last year and subsequently also losing my horse of over 7 years. It is no reflection on him but he is just not the right partner for me at the moment.

He is very genuine with a superb temperature and we have been doing a lot of flatwork over the last few months.

In his previous home he did hacking, dressage, combined training and show jumping. This owner has known and ridden him for most of the last 10 years and, therefore, all history known.

He is snaffle mouthed, not strong, good in all ways and barefoot. He will only be sold to the best of homes.

Huge potential in the show ring as either a show cob or a traditional, with 11 inches of clean flat bone. Big straight movement. Good length of rein. No lumps or bumps.

I bought Boss after a very serious riding accident and he has helped me to gain my strength and confidence. He is safe and sensible, non-spooky with a gentle easy persona. Defiantly more whoe then go! Superb to hack out in company. Will hack out alone and regularly does, but needs encouragement from his rider as likes to look at things.

Has done farm rides, beach rides, trail rides, and clinics and has always behaved impeccably. Loads and travels perfectly and will stand alone on the horsebox without making any fuss. Manners to burn on the ground. Established in the school and has started to jump a small course of fences, showing great potential as a working show cob.

Very sad sale for personal reasons.

Full history known. No health problems.

Black Country saddle available at extra cost.

Open to any vet

Up to date with everything.

Grassroots eventer/ quality all rounder

16/16.1hh. Irish Sport Horse. Quality Skewbald. Mare, Rising 14 years.

Experienced eventer.
Forward off the leg, not strong, very responsive up and down the gears.
Kind temperament.

Hanry Patch (Delilah) loves to jump! She is awesome xc, forgiving, brave, forward and has plenty of years left in her to either show someone the ropes eventing or for someone more experienced to have some real fun on her!

Delilah is a gentle, experienced horse with a confident demeanour. She is very level-headed and has good understanding of how to work with a rider. She is extremely well-mannered and easy to handle.

Delilah has had 3 homes and has always been extremely well cared for. In her first home she was lightly hunted, then she moved a teenager who owned her for 6 years and took her from fun rides to eventing successfully at 90.

Hacking Delilah is a delight. She hacks really well alone or in company. Traffic, farm vehicles and going under motorway bridges doesnt bother her at all. She is also sensible in open space and just does what you ask her to. You can also leave her for a few days without her getting fresh.

On the flat, Delilah is balanced and correct. She is well established in 3 paces as well as in basic lateral work.

She is careful and forgiving when she Showjumps, she likes a forward rhythm without being strong and will find the strides for you. She's happy with fillers, water trays and ditches. Always brave and bold.

Up to date with vaccinations, dentist, shoes and physio.

Delilah is sound, fit and ready to go! She will be entered up for some events until she is sold.

She has two saddles that have been professionally fitted and a bridle, plus rugs that can be discussed.

Delilah would suit a variety of homes, from grassroots eventing, riding club, dressage, showing or hunting, she is the ultimate alrounder. A loving owner and good home is very important. Sad sale of this much loved horse. No novices please.

South East. Private sale.

Sidney the Suffolk, 2019 Chesnut gelding standing at approximately 17hh, this lovely boy is the perfect model of a Suffolk, he really is a giant, leg in each corner mobile armchair!

Sidney offers a lovely steady ride in all three paces, snaffle mouthed and a gentleman to be around. He will pop a small jump, small ditch or a log, he isn’t going to jump around hickstead this year, but he certainly is a safe, reliable, weight carrying horse with plenty to give.

Sidney enjoys hacking, he is super in open spaces, traffic, busy environments and farm machinery, he’s also proven to be fantastic in open spaces, a big solid reliable horse. He has been worked in long reins too, and will drag, he would make a good prospect for driving or dragging, equally he’s a fantastic riding horse.

Bonnie May is a super smart traditional cob.

Having hunted as a 4 and 5yo, she has more recently been flicking her toes in the dressage arena, enjoying pole, jumping and arena xc clinics and flew round her first arena Eventing competition.

Bonnie is absolutely brilliant to hack and is often used to nanny others.

She is a forward ride, loves her work, doesn’t change if not ridden for a while and will happily live in or out.

Excellent to travel and do, Bonnie has the most wonderful nature and is an absolute pleasure to have around.

Wonderful home sought for this very special mare.

Tank is a 16.2h Irish cob X tb, rising 12 year old gelding. Tank is like a big dog on the ground, he really has the most amazing ground manners.

He is lovely to hack and flat, can get strong in open spaces and big groups but nothing silly. Hacks first or last, alone or in company.

Has 3 lovely paces on the flat and works beautifully on the bridal

Tank is very forward and strong to jump, he had the odd calm day but he just adores his job! He will jump anything you point him at without hesitation. I want him to ideally go to a competition home as he deserves to show off his potential.

He is fab to clip, work, load, travel etc. his only fault is the farrier ; he is shod all round however not a huge fan of being shod. He is a lot better than he used to be just needs lots of reassurance and a patient, kind farrier.

Tank is one of a kind so will only go to a 5star home, and will come with a full wardrobe including Bridle and Saddle.

Noodles loves her work. Happily hacks out in front or behind.

A total softie in the stable, loves a fuss and a groom.

Has been in the same home since she was 3 months old. Now time to find her a home where she can be number 1.

Noodles is safe and a very genuine mare, but please no novices due to her age. She is easy enough for a knowledgeable amateur to have fun with but also smart enough for someone to produce as a grassroots event horse.

Shannonvalley Tilly, or Rosie to us, is looking for a a fun and exciting home. Rosie loves to work and thrives off of being busy.

Rosie is good in all ways correct, easy and forward going. Never spooky. She Jumps anything you point her at. Is brave and forward as well as being exceptionally careful.

Rosie would make a fantastic hunt horse she has a beautiful canter that you could sit to all day. Happily would stand at the meet and jump all fences hedges etc. Before coming to England she did lots of Hunting in Ireland and was even used as a hireling.

With more schooling Rosie could do a beautiful dressage test. She moves beautifully and is beginning to work sweetly on the bit.

Rosie is kind and Polite on the ground never putting a foot out of line. Loads happily, good for the farrier but does need some sedline to be clipped.

In Rosie’s ideal world she would like a Lady rider as can be nervous around Men to begin with.

Rosie does have a slight lump on her Leg. Purely cosmetic and has been X-rayed and scanned to double check!
