  • Happily hacks alone and in company, goes first or last
  • Perfect for fun rides, sponsored rides, farm rides

Henry has done a bit of everything, recently been evented but is now looking for a calmer life.
He was bought in 2023 for my 16 year old daughter coming off a pony. He has given her a huge amount of confidence and has been a complete pleasure to own. We have taken him away and he has been an absolute joy, he travels well and settles easily.
He would suit someone wanting to hack alone or with friends.
He would be happy to do the occasional hunter trial and clear round at 70/80cm.
He is forward going but not strong. He is bold and trustworthy, he doesn’t spook and has never reared or bucked.
He is excellent in traffic and with tractors etc.
Great to lead other horses or ponies from as he is so calm.
He is good with dogs and cats.
He needs to be in a routine with daily turnout and stabling and with other horses nearby.
He is easy to catch, shoe etc
Plenty of videos on request.
We would ideally like him to stay in the South and we would like to keep in touch with this gorgeous boy.

Smart All-Rounder

  • Skewbald

  • Training at BD Elementary
  • Loves to jump, hacks alone or in company
  • Good to do in all ways

Ollandra King Louie, Welsh X skewbald gelding, 15.2, 12 years old, same home for the last 7 years. Lovely all-rounder, would make great competition pony.

He has beautiful paces and action, he does a lovely dressage test, established at novice, and placed every time. Because of lack of time, we have not competed over the last year, although Louie's schooling has continued. He is now training at elementary level, and I am told by my teacher he has the potential to go to advanced medium. He has good lateral movement, and he does a lovely shoulder-in, travers, half-pass, counter-counter and has just started flying changes. He moves into a contact easily with a lovely carriage.

Louie qualified for area festivals a couple of years ago, and was placed in the novice 24 test at the sunshine tour at Hickstead in 2021, behaving impeccably.

He’s not a novice ride as he is forward-going. He is very versatile, beautifully schooled and responsive, perfect for a confident rider to take out and about, to do anything with.

Louie loves to jump and hates touching the poles, therefore gives a lot of space above the fence! I have only jumped him up to 75cms because I am not keen on jumping, but he could easily go much higher with a more competent rider. Has tried his hoof at cross country, and loved it.

Louie is a pretty boy. He has tried showing where the judges loved his expressive movement.

Hacks alone or in company, not strong or silly. Good in open spaces, will go in front or behind.

Been out to training camps, many Thetford forest riding holidays, many sponsored rides and to the beach a few times.

Good to load, travel, catch, for the dentist and the farrier.

Easy to take out and about, good with dogs. Good in traffic, with farm machinery, lorries etc. Good ground manners, good in the stable.

Louie loves cuddles and scratches, never sick or sorry. Has never wanted for anything, regular maintenance with the physio, teeth, up-to-date with jabs, regular shoeing etc. He will stand for hours being washed and groomed and fussed over.

Never planned on selling him, this is a very sad and difficult sale. Louie is a much-loved boy, he deserves nothing less than a 5* home.

ALBIE (VH Sandstorm) - Beautiful buckskin blanket spot gelding 4. YO, already measuring 16.1, same home since weaning. A very sad sale purely due to change of circumstances.

AQHA x Appaloosa. Albie is a well mannered young chap as he was originally bought to be a forever horse so no time or expense has been spared with his early education. He LOVES people, definitely a yard favourite, he's great to catch. For the past 3+ years he has been on a very busy yard so is totally unbothered by tractors, dogs, kids and general noise and comings and goings.

He currently lives out all year round in a big group of geldings, but is also very well mannered in his stable! Albie was sent to begin his education last summer then turned away for the winter! He was professionally backed but still at the project stage of his education. Which is continuing. He is up to date with vets, jabs teeth etc

He has recently completed his first fun ride and behaved perfectly throughout wasn’t phased by all the new experiences!

He is good for the farrier. Albie is a brave friendly horse he loads in a lorry or trailer but this is still new to him but stands well when travelling. Albie hasnt yet been jumped under saddle as I’ve been taking it slowly with him! He will turn his hoof to anything Im very sure.

Albie descends from a number of very big names including, Three bars, Mesoud, Dargree, and racing Royalty Secretariat! All of his breeding is available to see in the link below-

  • Cob
  • Piebald

  • 11 years

  • Mothers dream & family favourite
  • Brave, bold, scopey jumper
  • Great to do in all ways

Bobby is a striking 15hh 11 year old cob x tb who I've had and produced since he was 5, now looking for a new home as I'm going to University. He has done a bit of everything - pony club camps, showjumping, dressage, hunter trials, and team chasing - and would most likely make a brilliant hunter!

Bold, brave, and scopey jumper that regularly places, competing at 80cm, but has schooled around 90-100cm at home. 3 good paces on the flat.

Not spooky or silly, bombproof in traffic, and well behaved in open spaces. Great to hack both alone and in company. More 'woah' than 'go'.

Has been ridden by little kids and recently went to a school for a War Horse display!

Easy to handle, catch, load, shoe etc. Fitted saddle and tack available. Many more pictures / videos available!

Would be an ideal horse for a teenager wanting to go out and have fun whilst staying safe - a mother's dream!

Lovely horse with a great personality that will be sorely missed.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

A real eye-catcher with a lovely temperament — ready for fun, hacking, and more!

Wilson is an eye-catching lightweight, sporty cob, standing at approx 15hh and born in 2018. This Irish-coloured gelding is a real pleasure to have around – easy, quiet, and kind-natured both on the ground and under saddle.

He offers a fun, forward ride and is happy to hack out alone or in company, showing a willing and confident attitude wherever he goes.

In his previous home in Ireland, he hunted and also competed at Riding Club level showjumping, giving him a solid foundation and versatility for a variety of disciplines. Whether you’re looking for a smart allrounder, a fun leisure horse, or something with potential to go further, he fits the bill.

No novices not naughty just forward and needs to continue education in his schooling.

Domino - just a touch under 14.3, 5 year old Appaloosa mare.

The kindest most genuine soul that I’ve ever come across in a pony.

Domino has come over from Ireland having done mostly hacking, bit of XC schooling/arena hires and attended a fun ride.

She hacks alone and in company, is good in traffic and good in open spaces. Happily canters through a field on a loose rein.

Popped some XC fences here and is super honest. We’ve taken her out to an arena hire and she stood around quiet as a lamb waiting for her friends to take their turn and then popped around over water trays/fillers without questioning anything.

She isn’t going to set the world alight but she is as honest as the day is long and will try her hardest to do whatever is asked of her.

Works away happily in the school, green but willing. Shes a smart little mover with comfy paces so would definitely do some dressage with further schooling.

I have never had such a sweet and kind little mare she has a heart of gold, she only wants to please. I’d love to see her in a home that appreciates her for who she is and just has a ton of fun with her. She’s a really lovely family friend.

Good to catch/load/travel/wash off. Loves a fuss and a groom and will stand for hours to be pampered. *she’s not itchy, just has typical rubbish Appaloosa hair!

Please WhatsApp message for videos. If you call and I don’t answer please send a text - NOT voicemail (they don’t work on my phone!) and I’ll get back to you.

Located Farnham Surrey.

Picasso is a striking 15.2hh 6yr reg Leopard Spot Appaloosa gelding.

What an eye catching chap he is. Really kind person to handle and do.

He has 3 lovely paces and would be outstanding in the show ring.

We have schooled him XC and SJ. He has an impressive jump.

Just started competing SJ and giving everything a go.

He hacks alone and in company and is good in open spaces.

He is green schooling/ not yet consistent in the contact but obviously he is only young so will need bringing along. Starting hold himself in a frame.

He has been foot perfect here a real pleasure to train and work with. He hadn’t actually been ridden a lot in that period even though backed at 4years old. Has glowing references from when he was broken in.

He is up to date with teeth (recently had wolf teeth removed), physio, vaccinated.

He has come to us and then we found out he had a colourful past. Therefore, he won’t be sold to a novice rider or child. Happy to discuss with serious people.

This is a rare opportunity to purchase a stunning young Traditional Cob mare who is destined for big things. She has all the attributes to be a winner whether that’s between the boards or in the show ring. Confirmationally she’s very well put together, beautifully marked and so eye catching. She really is a beautiful girl.

Patchy has the most fantastic paces, they are bold and flashy, making her turn heads! She is very well schooled for her age, proving to be very trainable and an absolute pleasure to ride. She is the one that we all fight over who’s going to ride her every day and is definitely a yard favourite! She has so much potential and would be a fantastic prospect for Petplans.

Patchy has just started jumping and will pop round a small course, totally unfazed by fillers. She has plenty of scope and would be a contender for BD CT Championships!

At home, she is a complete pleasure to have around on the yard. She is vice free, hacks alone and in company, 100% to catch, load, farrier ect.

Polsue manor Top hat & tails- Also known as Topsy is striking blue and white mare who has recently been backed and broken.

15hh registered with Chaps, out of an Irish Draught. She is 4 years old.

She is currently hacking out in company and alone. Has been good in traffic, cantered in open fields, seen farm traffic and is good to load/travel in a trailer and a lorry.

She is a very sweet and willing mare, however would not be suitable for a novice, due to her age.

She would have real potential to be a WHP, riding club or hunter.

  • Potential top class competition horse

Potential top class competition horse, coloured, gelding, 17hh, 5yr old, fantastic breeding lines, sire: Blue Hors Soprano, grandsire: Sandro Hit, great grandsire: Contender.

Due to lack of time on my part, as I have another young horse and do not have the time that each horse deserves, this stunning boy is sadly looking for his new forever home to continue to enjoy producing.

Since being professionally backed, he has been sympathetically ridden out hacking & his flatwork has proved to show the 'wow' factor in each gait, he has also shown that he enjoys pole work and has jumped a small course of fences.  He has been on training livery for the past 8 weeks at the yard where I keep my 2 young horses with a fantastic humble, sympathetic event rider who is continuing to produce him beautifully.  Due to his age and size, this horse has not been rushed and continues to show a willing attitude to his work.

He will hack out on his own and in Company and he has popped over some small rustic and SJ fences. He has a very affectionate nature, beautiful markings and super confirmation.

Passed a vetting in May last year when I purchased him as an unbroken 4yr old.

He is destined for great things and is a very exciting prospect with the potential to excel in either dressage, SJ or eventing with a flashy 'look at me' disposition.

Looking for the very best of homes for this young horse with an experienced person who can continue to produce & enjoy him.

This young horse is a super competition prospect and deserves his next new chapter with his new person who has the desire to enjoy continuing with his training and education. He is ready to start his career & take out to competitions.

Due to his age, he is not suitable for a novice, therefore please no more timewasters.

BONNIE BLUE

Bonnie is a type increasingly hard to find, she’s a solid MW and a square leg at each corner sort but is still quality.

Bonnie is a real treasure. She is now working sweetly on the flat and starting to get the idea of working on the bridle, she is straightforwards to ride and happy to just continue if her rider has a wobble. She stays in a good rhythm and really tries to please, she is obviously still green but shows a lot of promise in her work and is naturally balanced. Bonnie is definitely a jumper!

She has got a great technique, and gets better with every session. She is just awesome, she’s very brave, careful and straightforward. She has had her first taste of XC with us and was great fun and very brave with a lot more to come from her! She will go on and do a bit of everything very well and be a top class all rounder.

I could see her going and being a lot of fun grassroots eventing, SJ (you wouldn’t know how much scope she’s got so who knows how far she will go!) she would be a machine out hunting (has now been on hound exercise with us and very well behaved), love fun rides or equally she’s kind and simple and loves

Her attitude to work is just the best, she is the definition of a trier. In addition to being such a total sweetheart under saddle she’s very kind to handle, good to catch, clip, box, good with farrier and just a ice easy person to have on the yard.

She is happy to live in, out and not mareish and friends with everyone.

I adore her and can’t wait to see what she becomes.

Video does no justice as she's come on a lot since it was taken.
