Very sweet 13 year old mare. Just been backed working in walk and trot nicely, aims to please.

Sweet temperament but can still be nervous and spooky. Unfortunately been left in a field doing nothing until now so not seen much of the world. Once she trusts you forms a bond (which she has done with her current trainer).

Looking for a kind knowledgeable patient one to one home so her education can be furthered.

She deserves the best of homes with someone who has the knowledge to bring her on further and patiently.

I have lots of videos available from her current trainer of progress made.

DEZINA GIRLIE POWER

This mare is such a pleasure to have and work with at the yard. She was broken in by us as a 3 yr old turned away and has been brought back into work with no problems what so ever.

Girlie has done hacking , beach rides, pub rides, fun rides, showing and show jumping, hunting.
She has 3 lovely paces in the school.
*First show she came 1st in riding coloured
*Second show - 2nd and 3rd in coloured and any breed any type against competitive RI horses. SERIOUS horse for someone who wants to continue in this field, super attitude in the show ring and always complemented by judges.

Placed 3rd in her first show jumping show at 90cm - super sweet popping around with plenty of ability to go up the ranks - however perfect for someone who wants to built confidence over some small fences.

Great to do on the ground - muck out, brush, clip, wash, lead, farrier ,load onto trailer and box will travel alone or with company.

This mare has been ridden by an amateur and family friends would suit confident teenager and adults.

She has had all the fundamentals put into place, she is now ready for her next chapter in life for someone to built into their own.

COOKIE Head turning 16.2hh 2011 spotted gelding, this super smart chap has been there, done it and got the t shirt. Ultimate mother daughter share / teenagers dream.

He’s a darling to have around, has done loads of riding club and showjumping, a real hard to find confidence giving ride. He’s fun, easy and talented. Cookie offers three correct and balanced paces on the flat, he’s always ridden in a snaffle. Loads of competition experience and loves his jumping, always in the ribbons and loves to be out and about.

Good to do in all ways, fantastic in open spaces, bes not spooky or strong. Cookie is a super ride in traffic, brilliant with the farm vehicles here on site, a well loved and kind boy all round. He doesn’t like to be left alone in the stable yard, he doesn’t do anything other than walk the box, but cookie would like to be in a home where he isn’t left in a stable completely alone.

MELA

Classy 2011 coloured mare standing at 15.3hh.

Mela offers a steady, comfortable and balanced ride, snaffle mouthed, mannerly and easy.

A true hard to find mare in model and temperament, not only is she exceptionally easy and uncomplicated she is also talented and kind.

This gorgeous girl hacks out alone and in company, fantastic in open spaces and heavy traffic, she has also proven to be super with the farm animals here.

Mela is an ideal mother daughter share, she is kind and forgiving and offers a fun but very safe ride.

She’s got plenty of competition experience under her belt, she would do riding club and pony club with her eyes shut!

She’s careful over fences and offers a confidence giving ride showjumping and cross country, she isn’t bothered by fillers and doesn’t mind if you get it wrong or miss her, she will just get the job done. This lovely girl offers it all.

Woody has 3 super paces and is rideable on the flat. He always scores low 30s or in the 20s eventing and has done plenty of BD successfully.

He’s got a super scopey jump and finds it all very easy.

He’s really polite and goes in a snaffle showjumping and XC.

He’s straight and as genuine as you could hope for XC and really looks for the flags.

Woody would be a superb under 18 2* horse for a competitive young rider.

He’s an absolute pleasure to do in all ways.

A very sad sale of a much loved horse.

Rising 4yo, 15.2, Blue Roan Gelding. Lightly backed and hacking out.

Ref #: 342127
£8,500 ONO
  • Anglo European
  • Black Roan
  • Gelding
  • 4 years
  • 15.2 hands

I bought Bluey from his breeder at weaning hoping he would be my next riding horse to bring on behind my current hunter/ team chaser.

But even though he still has some maturing to do, Blue is not going to finish as big as I had hoped, so he ls looking for a new home with a smaller rider. Blue is totally gorgeous to look at, just the best colour, and no white socks so always looks clean! He truly is an eye catcher.

He has grown up on our farm on Exmoor being fed bales with tractors, having the barns mucked out with skid steers, and the sheep in his field checked with quads, so he is totally used to all sorts of machinery, noise, other animals, kids, dogs etc. He has been moved from summer to winter grazing in both trailer & lorry and has never minded being transported.

He is a kind and willing character, a little slow to mature, but I would prefer that to having them overdone and putting stress on their joints. He's just a fabulous blank canvas really.

In the school Bluey has shown to have a huge natural jump (we have only loose schooled him once in his life, for these pictures) and he has lovely movement. He could well go on to event or potentially even do pure dressage.

We have lightly backed him, and are hacking him occasionally around the lanes. He has not yet been asked to do circles or jump under saddle, but he is willing and sweet natured and will soon come to being a lovely riding horse given more time and training.

He has never bucked or reared throughout the backing process, and all his work has been really positive, so we feel he is at a great place for a competent rider to take over and start training him properly.

We are on Exmoor on the Devon / Somerset borders but we can deliver anywhere in UK.

Handsome, gentle kind lad with a lovely nature.

He is hacking out nicely and willing to go out alone although we don't see big traffic here just the odd tractor and cars.

He is extremely clever and has a good brain easy to train attitude. He has his basic flatwork established and is now learning some lateral work.

Broken late he is catching up quickly, he is jumping around a small set of fences and should be ready for a british novice in the next few weeks. He has plenty of scope and is proving to be really careful.

He will be ready this season to go out and learn the ropes with next season being a real grass roots contender.

We will be going xc schooling with him any day now but he is great in open spaces and across fields. Snaffle mouth only.

He has'nt had the best start but nothing that will affect his future - im happy to discuss on the phone.

He is an absolutely lovely horse that is willing and desperate to please you.

Please call to discuss. DEVON based

Lots of manners. Easy to catch, clip, load etc.

Lusitano ( on green passport)

A very very difficult sale of the most perfectly easy & talented young smaller horse.

Cremello Gelding rising 6 years 15h

A Confidence Giving Compact Youngster with huge potential for dressage/ all rounder / show / loves his jumping too.

A wonderful opportunity for the right person to bring on their own uncomplicated easy young horse; there is NOTHING challenging about this little boy, he is a pleasure in every way and will be a delight to own.

Camborio was imported as a 2 yr old by myself , as a buy to sell. However his gentle , kind genuine and very easy trainability has led to me keeping him ! He is the perfect horse .

Blue eyes. Cream coat with 4 white socks, and white blaze.

Camborio has a huge Lusitano neck and a lot of bone, he is a compact little powerhouse who will EXCEL in dressage or any all rounder discipline.

He has a super super natural walk and canter, the walk is a 5 hoof over track and the canter is so deep and seated that his hind leg almost touches his chin! This little horse was made for dressage, but equally loves his jumping proving scopey, brave and natural at all he turns his hoof too.

He is correct, naturally balanced, uncomplicated, easy and very loving with a spiritual and majestic presence .

His colour is absolutely stunning, cream, but when the sun catches his coat he is pearlescent.

On familiar regular hacks he’s excellent and brave going out alone with confidence, in heavy traffic, unspooky, calm, and very much a confidence giving horse, despite his young age. He is still young , so new surroundings/ unfamiliar hacks I always give him more time and often go a few times with a friend before we venture out alone.

Schooling he is doing AMAZING, with natural ability, straightness, rhythm, tempo and balance he is very easy to ride. Walk, trot and canter is very well established, counter canter and laterals were just starting; but he shows natural skill already.

He is very well behaved in the arena and enjoys learning and schooling .

He equally enjoys pole work / jumping and lessons.

He’s been to dressage competitions and behaved impeccably even while the bigger horses are charging around .He scores well and judges love him.

He does need leg to work forward , he’s definitely not over sensitive or sharp . He would not suit a total novice rider due to his age, and requires a rider who can continue to gradually build his education while enjoying his easy character .

He can be ridden only once a week and never changes his personality, never needs lunging before riding ; always comes out ready to work while being calm and respectful.

Camborio would very much suit a mother / daughter share , lady rider or capable child. I am 5’4 and the size match works well. He takes up the leg, and once fully mature he will be a stocky, muscular, big boned horse.

He has beautiful strong feet and a FULL set of CLEAN Xrays (including neck and spine).

This spectacular Lusitano is only for sale as I have limited room

He will only be sold to the right person, in the right FOREVER home.

Loads well done, travels well , been to competition and shows , shod , good for farrier ,teeth , back and feet upto date; absolutely no vices , a very very easy horse who would be great for someone needing a well behaved uncomplicated little unicorn .

Please no dealers. No P/E. No joyriders / tyre kickers /dreamers. His price is his price I will not negotiate.

References will be required .

Stunning palomino mare with exceptional breeding.

Flashy on the flat, naturally well balanced and athletic. Three loose and attractive paces, along with her stunning colour makes her very eye catching.

Quality enough for a professional but easy enough for an amateur. Hacked out by novice and inexperienced riders.

Moves well enough for pure dressage but enjoys her jumping, has been to a couple show jumping events and xc schooling. Jumping lots of clears at 90cm and just the first fence down in her first 1m/1.05m. Scopey enough to reach BE Novice/2*, so could also be a future U18 teams horse.

Exceptional temperament, very easy on the ground and so willing to work.

Her grandmother jumped to 1.20/Foxhunter level and mother was training at Medium level BD as a 6yo before picking up an injury. The Sire side needs no introduction, with Negro siring the multi medal winning and Olympian Valegro.

Owned since a foal so full history known, easy to break in and start riding.

Hacks alone or in company, good for the farrier.

Price will increase the more she does.

  • Confidence giver/School Master Type

  • Hacks alone & in company
After losing what should have been my horse of a lifetime, I’m on the hunt for a new best friend. I know getting all of the below is near on impossible (or extortionate), but as many ticks in the boxes as possible!

Please note I don’t have a 5 figure budget so please take that into account before contacting:

- 15-16.2hh
- 8-12yo (open to younger if sane & sensible)
- Schoolmaster/confidence giving type whilst I find my feet again
- Must hack alone & in company
- Good to load, travel, trim etc
- Ideally have the capability to eventually do a nice lower level dressage test one day!
- I don‘t tend to jump nowadays but I have a trainer and friends who could jump him/her for variety if they need it until I fancy it!
- Open to breeds but nothing super hairy or heavy - prefer something sporty like an ISH/ID X
- Preferably will pass a 5* vetting for my own sanity

Absolute bonus if they come with any wardrobe!

I’m by no means a novice, but no doubt a little wobbly after a stretch of time off after an accident & losing my horse.

I don’t want a world beater this time. I’ve had a really unlucky 4 years and I just want something ready to go & give me back some confidence to get out, have fun and compete here and there. I’m on the most amazing yard with all year turnout (24/7 in summer), a trainer to help us with our partnership, miles of on and offsite hacking so he/she really would have the best home.

North west based but willing to travel up to 2/3 hours if viewing is required.

Beautiful 15hh homozygous traditional mare, with an abundance of feather and bone.

The best tempered mare you could ever wish for, foals easily and nurses her foals very well.

No vices, good to do in every way. Will stable or live out. Very good doer.

She has bred some stunning stock, last bred filly can be seen with us.

Extremely difficult sale, she will only go to the best of homes and if the right home doesn’t come along she will stay. She last foaled in July 2022, she was then left barren due to wanting to give her the year off. Then due to myself falling pregnant she was given last year off.

She’s currently in season (24/04/24). She had full clean swabs done before we naturally covered her in 2021.

A mare of this type, build, temperament and guaranteed to breed colour is not often seen on the market.

Please no time wasters or dealers, she will only go to a private breeder. Homes will be vetted and references will be required.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Baronsdown Dancing Savannah, stable name Roxy. Roxy is a lovely kind gentle mare with a relaxed nature.

I’ve taken the time to produce her slowly and lots of hacking to see the world before she started work in the school . She is absolutely stunning and will stand out in a crowd. I’ve taken her out to competitions which she’s been totally relaxed at and got great percentages. Ready to affiliate.

Roxy is one of two beautiful horses I am currently producing. Unfortunately and heart-breakingly due to work commitments I have to look to sell one.

She will be a future superstar, and will make a super showing horse.

  • JASIRI 16hh 8 year old Skewbald Mare”

If ever there were a classic Grassroots mare, smart on the flat, clever in the ring and careful across the country, that is Jasiri. Her mother set the ball rolling and Jas, and her boys, can follow, who knows how far beyond.

DAM; Kahawa has been an outstanding grass roots horse, with 333 foundation points, 12 BE wins and numerous placings from 90 to 105. Badminton Grasroots 2013, BE100, placed 7th, quickest x/c.
SIRE; Philanderer, 4*eventer by Jumbo.

In 2020, Jasiri produced an impressive colt (Hiari) by Primitive Proposal; now lightly backed Hiari is already showing the real quality of his parentage.

Jas then started her eventing career as a 5 yr old showing excellent prospects.

Jasiri had a colt foal last year and is now fit, back in work and ready to event this season

Recently came 3rd combined training at 100 level

  • Oxstalls April 2024 - BE100 - 10th
  • Moreton April 2024 - BE100 - 29 dressage, double clear. 7th
Philanderer

Promising project with lots more to give!

Allrounder with lots of potential! Beautifully marked 15.1hh, 7yrs cob X ISH gelding.

Competed successfully SJ, arena eventing and arena XC. Always in the ribbons, also qualifying for the national championships for arena eventing. Has been competing at 70/80cm but has plenty of scope and ability to go higher. Enjoys his jumping and isn’t fazed by fillers, ditches, water etc…… and jumps without hesitation.

Has done all pony club activities including regular rallies, camp, farm rides and XC.

Will produce a super test, works well on the flat with lots of potential.

Good to hack and excellent in traffic but prefers company. Excellent to load. Good for farrier ( never had shoes/very hardy feet), good to clip etc….. and up to date with vaccinations.

Despite Hawkeyes’s very impressive CV he still has so much more to give and has got tonnes of potential with the right rider.

He is not suitable for a nervous or novice rider. He will test the rider and can be nappy. Therefore he is only suited to an adult who has the experience and confidence to produce him further and bring out the best in him. He could be a very special horse but needs the right home and rider.

Has got potential to do well low level BE, BD, showing and would make a superb hunt horse.

Passed a two stage vetting 12months ago.

Bridle/rugs included. Saddle available separate negotiation

Based Wolverhampton.

Plenty more videos and pics on request.

Grassroots eventer/ quality all rounder

16/16.1hh. Irish Sport Horse. Quality Skewbald. Mare, Rising 14 years.

Experienced eventer.
Forward off the leg, not strong, very responsive up and down the gears.
Kind temperament.

Hanry Patch (Delilah) loves to jump! She is awesome xc, forgiving, brave, forward and has plenty of years left in her to either show someone the ropes eventing or for someone more experienced to have some real fun on her!

Delilah is a gentle, experienced horse with a confident demeanour. She is very level-headed and has good understanding of how to work with a rider. She is extremely well-mannered and easy to handle.

Delilah has had 3 homes and has always been extremely well cared for. In her first home she was lightly hunted, then she moved a teenager who owned her for 6 years and took her from fun rides to eventing successfully at 90.

Hacking Delilah is a delight. She hacks really well alone or in company. Traffic, farm vehicles and going under motorway bridges doesnt bother her at all. She is also sensible in open space and just does what you ask her to. You can also leave her for a few days without her getting fresh.

On the flat, Delilah is balanced and correct. She is well established in 3 paces as well as in basic lateral work.

She is careful and forgiving when she Showjumps, she likes a forward rhythm without being strong and will find the strides for you. She's happy with fillers, water trays and ditches. Always brave and bold.

Up to date with vaccinations, dentist, shoes and physio.

Delilah is sound, fit and ready to go! She will be entered up for some events until she is sold.

She has two saddles that have been professionally fitted and a bridle, plus rugs that can be discussed.

Delilah would suit a variety of homes, from grassroots eventing, riding club, dressage, showing or hunting, she is the ultimate alrounder. A loving owner and good home is very important. Sad sale of this much loved horse. No novices please.

South East. Private sale.
