  • Fantastic Show Prospect with Huge Potential

Hermits Carmela or 'Bree' as she is known at home is a stunning and unusual coloured silver dapple and white yearling filly. She is 15 months old , very evenly marked on both sides.

She will make a fantastic prospect for a serious show home or addition to a top quality stud.

I have owned Bree from a foal , I bought her direct from Hermits Stud.

She has an amazing temperament, a huge character. She comes to call in the field , picks feet up, stands tied, rugged , walks in hand .She has a presence about her that will mean she will excel in the ring.

I intended to show Bree myself but sadly I do not have the time that she needs and some health problems which have made me take the hard decision to find her a new home.

She is far to good to stay with me as a pet and I will only let her go to a proven experienced show home.

She has a 5 generation passport registered with TGCA

She is microchipped and up to date with all her flu/tet vaccines

She is a serious show prospect and should make 14hh+ , currently standing at approx 13hh

This is a very hard decision I haven't taken lightly so please no time wasters or dreamers !

  • Kind placid temprement, that should make him easy to train

Super yearling with a wonderful temperament by the highly successful sire of show and competition horses, Avanti Amorous Archie.

Oscar's dam was a heavy Irish cob mare which shows in his huge amount of bone but he has Archie's quality movement and attractive head.

Standing at about 15.2 at 18 months be should make 16.2, he has been allowed to develop slowly on grass, living out in a group of native ponies.

He is easy to handle, vaccinated and has his feet trimmed every six weeks. Will live in or out and was stabled at night last winter.

At present Oscar is entire, there are no handling issues but can be gelded at the buyers expense before leaving if needed.

He is one of the few coloured progeny by Archie, that are rarely for sale and he will be striking in the show ring.

Being sold as he is obviously going to make a substantial horse and I have no one to help me produce him.

For sale to a home that is used to young stock.

  • Huge feathers already

Martha of Pinehurst is a 10 month old traditional Blagdon gypsy cob filly.

She is a superb example of her breed with a lovely split mane and huge feathers already! She is well put together and moves beautifully.I bought Martha only a few months ago as a companion to our Shetland mare which she has done superbly but Martha needs a lot more one to one daily handling than I had first thought.

It would be a total waste for her to sit in a field as a companion for the rest of her life when she has so much to offer. Unfortunately I dont have the time required to spend with Martha at this time. She is a very sweet filly but lacks confidence.

She can be quite nervous until she knows you, this is purely due to lack of handling as she has improved hugely since I ve owned her.

Martha is registered with the Traditional Gypsy cob society and is eligible to show she is also microchipped ,wormed and had the farrier.

Martha has all the right qualities to excel in the show ring.

**BEWARE**

BOGUS EMAILS & BUYERS!

Ref #: 22412

Increasing numbers of internet advertisers are receiving emails from bogus buyers, attempting to scam sellers

This tactic is a worldwide problem; however it would appear to be on the rise in the equine industry, targeting everything from horses and ponies for sale, to horseboxes, trailers and tack

**EXAMPLE SCAM ALERT**

We've been informed of a new email scam doing the rounds. This time the scam email in commonly coming from ‘Travis Bennett’ & 'Cynthia PT', asking a list of questions & offering to transfer a deposit and payment for shipping. Please ignore this email and if you have time report it to Action Fraud, for more details click HERE

In another instance the scammer will contact you via email asking if your horse is still for sale, this will be followed by an email containing 23 questions as shown on the picture on the left. Please do not respond to this email. Sorry for any inconvenience caused and rest assured we are doing our best to combat this.

Another scam which is particularly common, is  when theadvertiser is contacted about an item, asking for more images, and then once the images have been received the bogus buyer will agree to send a cheque for the full amount.  At this point the seller is asked to email their full contact details to enable the buyer to send payment. The seller is then contacted again saying that the cost of shipping has accidently been included on the cheque, and could the seller forward the cost of shipment onto a courier, which is also bogus

These scams can vary, however emails are often written in broken English and written in an over friendly style.  We urge HorseQuest customers to respond to email enquiries with caution. If something sounds too good to be true, it often is!

If you think you’ve been scammed then we strongly recommend that you contact the police
