Wonderful PC Schoolmistress

Ref #: 379339

  • Good PC/SJ Schoolmistress
  • Genuine and easy to manage in all ways.
  • Rosette Winner!

Fabulous little mare that is a real gem to ride, well mannered and polite and thoroughly enjoys her jumping. Very careful and has been competed regularly with my grandson and has been consistently placed in all NSEA and PC SJ teams.

Over the last 3yrs that she has been with us he has taken her to all our local shows, Hickstead, XC schooling , PC camps and has been an absolute star!

Very ‘handy’ so that makes her great against the clock - she is always in the ribbons but will she will also adjust for a more novice rider and will quietly teach them the ropes.

Manners at a show that are impeccable, happy to stand quietly at the lorry whilst others are being ridden and she loads like clockwork.

Dancer has been shown in her previous home with success and she has lovely flatwork- she is polite and gentle to ride and is very sensible and trustworthy, she rides very sensibly in big open spaces and is great XC and will ride calmly alone or in company.

Very good out Hacking and is good with all road and farm traffic, and will go alone or with a group.

Dancer’s stable manners are fantastic - she is kind to handle by children and will stand for hours with them to be groomed and pampered, she great with the farrier/ dentist and to clip.

Happy to be turned out with others or alone and she is easy to catch, lead in and tie up.

If you want a pony for your child to be safe and well looked after and for them to jump and win rosettes she is the one for you!!

Much loved family pony that has all the highest of references from all the local pony clubs and show centres - Dancer has taught my grandson the ropes in PC and SJ and only deserves a 10* home!!

  • Must be good with toddlers
  • Private home with 7 acres and my own competition horse as company
  • Any age considered

We are looking for a lead rein pony as our toddler's first pony due to a failed vetting this morning.

They must be good with toddlers, dogs, farm traffic, preferably being lead from my horse, farrier, vet, to travel etc.

More than happy with a slightly older pony wanting to step down as they would be ridden/worked approximately 3 times a week.

I have just started showing so would love to pop the new pony in the trailer with my horse and take my toddler showing too.
60x20 arena.

6 one acre paddocks.

Based in Kent so within 2hours of the Channel Tunnel is preferable and it may be that I request a vetting and then come and meet and collect the pony after it passes depending on distance.

Maisey was only backed at 11yrs old and so has very low miles and still looks incredible. She has plenty more years in her teaching lucky children.

We have owned Maisey for 3 years now. We bought her for our 4yr old son who has done everything on her since -PC camp x3, rallies, Showing, mounted games, SJ Beach holidays and endless hacking.

Maisey is a perfect lead rein pony. She trots or canters when you run and stops when you stop. She doesn’t nibble or annoy the handler and will stand all day. Never bitten, kicked or pulled a face. She will be pampered all day long. She will also take a child off the lead, jumping a small 30cm course of showjumps happily.

Maisey will happily be led off another horse and I have cantered down a huge beach leading my 5yr old on her. She is totally trustworthy. Not one to get fizzy when others canter off away from her. She can have weeks off and will be exactly the same when you get back on.

Maisey is the lowest maintenance pony. She is bare foot, will live in or out, and lives on fresh air. She has no veterinary history and never had lami.

Homes will be vetted and we would love another experienced pony club home for this gem of a pony. We are still in contact with her 3 previous owners which is credit to her nature .

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

  • Talented dressage pony with a potential for British Dressage
  • Friendly, loves cuddles and is a perfect bestfriend

Caz is a gorgeous dressage pony, who has been with us for 5 years. We have focused on flatwork, pole work clinics and dressage competitions. He can jump nicely at home and at arena hire but can be more challenging at a jump competition. He has potential in British dressage as he has always been in the ribbons with us.

He is a happy hacker and will join any horse(s) on a hack; he can be a little trickier alone though.

He has shown potential in in hand showing and ridden shows as he has no scars and is handsome.

He is a lovely pony, and the stronger the bond the more love and attention he will give you.

He is easy to turn out and bring in, tacking up and mounting and loves a groom/ cuddle.

Caz is turned out with a herd (which is best for him) and stabled.

Good to clip, good with the farrier (Caz is barefoot). Doing his teeth he needs to be slightly sedated.

Caz is a very lovable pony and is a great best friend.

After 3 wonderful years together, and with a very heavy heart, it is time to offer this truly fantastic pony for sale, as Florence is sadly off 138’s this year. Frosty has taken Florence from Stepping Stones to jumping top tracks, with numerous wins and DC’S at 1.10m. Frosty is a powerful and responsive pony, with a fabulous canter. He is one of the fastest 138 ponies on the circuit.

He is well schooled and light off the leg, quick off the ground and has scope to burn. Frosty is very neat and careful over a fence. He tries his heart out and loves his job. He has far exceeded all our hopes and expectations, making many dreams come true for my daughter.

Outside of competing, Frosty is perfectly behaved in every situation. He loves hacking, both alone and in company, he loves XC, riding up the Malvern Hills and going to the beach!

He is excellent to shoe, load, travel, bath, clip, catch etc. He’s only ever been ridden and handled by my daughter. He is perfect at stay away shows and will stand patiently anywhere you ask him. Frosty is a cuddly boy with a beautiful temperament, truly one in a million.

We are looking for a knowledgeable home, where he will be loved and enjoyed as much as he has been here and in his previous home, who we are still in touch with. Frosty would suit a bold and competitive rider who wants a pony with a huge heart and an amazing jump!

  • Pony club superstar - nothing he has not done.
  • Incredibly versatile: can go from lead rein to first ridden and beyond.
  • Super safe for any child to handle and do everything with.

I am sadly having to say good bye to what I can only call my first heart horse. Unfortunately I have out grown him and am looking for a loving family for him to go to. I have owned this gorgeous boy for six years- we got him when I was seven and I’m now thirteen. This superstar is a real confidence giver and has taken me so far. He is a loving pony through and through with his willing attitude and affection towards anyone who steps foot in his stable. Teddy also has great manners and an awesome personality, it is safe to say he knows his job!

In the time I have had with him he has taken me from going over poles on the ground in a slow walk to now comfortably jumping 80cm courses. He is most definitely most comfortable at the 80cm mark but can be pushed to a meter quite happily which I have tended to do at home rather than out competing.
He is a safe ride out on the XC course with a cruising canter which is usually right on the optimum time.
In dressage he demonstrates amazing paces with a soft head carriage, he can put in a lovely dressage test and usually comes home with rosettes.

He has done a lot during our time with him ranging from beach rides, cross country, eventing, hacking, showing, fancy dress and pony club mounted games. You can never say a pony is totally bombproof but this one has never batted an eyelid with anything that has crossed his path including people in inflatable cow suits!

He is easy for the farrier, dentist, vets and to clip, with no vices or problems. I can load him myself on the trailer and he never turns a hair at staying away at shows or events.

Along our journey we have found out, whilst you would never know to look at him, that Teddy has EMS - equine metabolic syndrome. However it has been easy to manage by simply limiting his amounts of grass with strip grazing and soaked hay. We test twice a year for insulin levels out of personal preference and we have maintained his insulin within acceptable ranges. Full history of his bloods can be given at time of viewing. He has never suffered any complications whatsoever including laminitis.

We will miss this gorgeous boy so much and want him to go to the right home that will love him as much as we have, so he can do what he does best and teach another little person to ride while having fun. He is versatile enough to be a great lead rein pony, first ridden or a second pony.

The price will include one cool pony, one set of tack, rugs, a saddle pad and a head collar.

12.2 Welsh part bred gelding. Irish pony who has a JA jumping record and has been on the Irish teams. A true legend in his time. Now 20yrs old and wanting a slower paced lifestyle teaching younger children the joys of riding!

Blue has a laid back attitude making him a really amazing first pony for a kind child to be able to take to the beach, XC rides, hacking or SJ.

Blue has a lot of life left in him and is a really hard type of pony to find. We can trust him with all of our children. He loads and travels like a dream, stands for farrier (bare foot) and would take a child off the lead rein with ease.

No health issues whatsoever. PC references can be provided.

In the two years we have had Callie, we have done Pony Club, Riding Club, NSEA Show Jumping (Addington, team 3rd in 80, Hickstead) , NSEA Arena Eventing (Double Clear at Hickstead in both the 70 and 80), NSEA Dressage (not her favourite activity).

Represented North of England in the Nations Cup at NSEA Addington in the 80, coming team 3rd. BS Academy team 5th at Stoneleigh, ODE's (1st Northallerton 70), pleasure rides and lots of hacking.

She is extremely easy to do, both at home and away at competitions, especially stay away show's, which she loves!

She has taken my daughter from jumping 50's to flying round 85's! She absolutely loves going out and competing, so would suit a competitive confident child who wants to win. She loves cross country, skinny's, ditches, water and covers the ground well. Nothing phases her. Fast showjumping as she can turn on a six-pence. Too many wins and placings to mention.

Would suit a mother / daughter / son share.
Super safe, my daughter rides her during the winter in the dark up and down our drive with a head torch on to see, brilliant in traffic, including farm machinery. Fantastic to clip and shoe. Is quick, so no beginners please.

Only for sale as my daughter is now competing at higher heights and Callie is ready to teach her next jockey the ropes.

Vices - she loves food and needs restrictive grazing during the summer. She gets sunburn!

5* Home for this much loved pony, that wants to go out, not just show jumping as she likes variety!

Tack included.

Deise Star/ Olaf

13,1hh 21 years young

The time has come to find Olaf a new home as our daughter is growing out of him fast.

Olaf has taken our daughter to Hickstead, qualifying for both the 85cm arena cross and 70cm show jumping in the NSEA championships and they came 2nd individually in the 70cm show jumping finals! They have qualified for the Grassroots regional championships at Kelsall Hill in the 70cm show jumping, 80cm show jumping and the 70cm ODE at the end of August.

This pony really is a once in a lifetime pony, he is a pleasure to take to a competition he will stand in the box all day long eating his hay then light up as soon as he's tacked up.

He is really fast against the clock and very careful.

Lexi is one of the most gentle natured, loving pony.

She is amazing being managed in every aspect, a dream to load, shod and clip. She is so well behaved whether it is in the lorry, stable, field, in the arena or on a hack.

Lexi knows what to do and is more of a forward pony so ideally needs a more confident, experienced rider.

Lexi is amazing at eventing and cross country and has competed in all of them, she is always full of energy and has very strong stamina so she will do anything you ask her to do.

We are so very sad to sell her as the only reason we are is that my child is off pony’s, We would adore to keep her forever.

I bought Porcha three and a half years ago and it was one of the best decisions I ever made, she has transformed my daughter from a nervous passenger to a confident rider. This is such a sad sale which we have put off for a year but my daughter has seriously outgrown her pony and it is time for her to move onto something bigger.

I bought Porcha as a jumping pony for my daughter but it soon became clear that this little pony could turn her hoof to anything from dressage, to games, to working equitation she really is a little star.

She is great out hacking, she will often lead the hack giving the more nervous horses/ponies confidence. She's happy to go at the front, the middle or at the back of a hack she really doesn't mind. She is good in an open space and equally as good on roads in traffic. I have complete confidence in my daughter going off hacking with her on her own.

She loves her work and never seems to run out of energy.

Porcha is as joyful on the ground as she is being ridden. I can't sing her praises enough.

Porcha loads and travels well, she is great with the farrier, dentist. can live in or out. She is fully vaccinated.

She can be on her own but I would prefer her not to be.

Don't be put off by her age, she is energetic, healthy, never sick or sorry.

The reason I have advertised her as a second pony is because she can get excited and strong when jumping and when cantering and needs to be ridden. A child who knows how to ride will not be phased by this. She never rears, bucks or bolts. She just gets happy and excited! She would be a great pony club pony.

Lots of videos and pictures available on request.

She will come complete with tack and rugs.

Homes will be vetted and references required, I need to know she will be in good hands x

If you're looking for a completely safe, will jump anything, has done everything, schoolmaster teacher pony for your 12-16 year old, you've found what you're looking for!

Sisco (Villa Prince) – The Living Legend is Looking for His Next Jockey

If Carlsberg made ponies... they'd probably make Sisco.

Known at home as The King, Sisco is the real deal – a one-in-a-million, jump-anything, save-your-bacon, pony legend.

With a CV longer than most professionals, Sisco has:

Competed internationally
Schooled Intermediate XC fences for fun
Spent years bossing around EI100 tracks like he owns them
Jumped clear more times than we’ve had hot dinners

Don’t be fooled by the silver sparkles in his mane – he’s still got plenty of fuel in the tank and absolutely loves his job.

Show him the fence and he’ll say “Sure thing, boss,” every single time. No fuss, no drama, just jumps.

Why you'll love him:

He’s safe, sane, and smarter than your average teenager
Always snaffle mouthed (but happy in a stronger bit XC if needed)
A true schoolmaster who could teach a wheelie bin to ride a 20m circle
Perfect for a teen wanting to move up a level without risking life or limb
Easy to clip, shoe, load, cuddle, cry into after a bad day, and bombproof in traffic

Sisco isn’t strong, spooky, silly or sharp. He doesn’t buck, bolt, rear or bite. He does, however, jump clear rounds in his sleep, win ribbons like it’s his part-time job, and make you feel like the best rider in the warm-up.

He lives in or out, has zero vices, and happily mingles with the herd like he’s hosting a dinner party.

Whether you want to event, showjump, whizz around working hunter, or dabble in dressage (his paces are) – this pony is the unicorn you’ve been waiting for.

£6500 – No VAT, no offers.

Ponies like this don’t hang around – grab your chance before someone else gallops off with him.

Fabulous first pony club pony

  • Loves to hack, SJ, XC and mounted games
SOLD!

  • 18 years

  • Lead Rein or 1st/2nd Pony, sadly outgrown
  • Experienced pony club pony
  • Loves to hack, SJ, XC and mounted games
Very reluctant sale, having owned for 5 years, taking daughter from 5 -10 years old and lead rein to confidently popping around 30-60cm jumping and area mounted games.

Coco is a sweet mare with a soft mouth, pops fences in a nice controlled manner and particularly enjoys hacking, happily going first or last.

She can be a bit stubborn when schooling in the arena at home, and would not enjoy this being her main job, but tolerates it with gentle handling to get the best from her and is happier if jumps are involved or out and about at pony club rallies.

She’s not always a complete angel (as she’s a pony and does have her own opinions!) but has been amazing for my daughter.

Has not had laminitis but we manage her as if she might due to her type and enthusiasm for food so would be best with restricted grazing to avoid health issues.

Good to handle, catch, groom, load, clip. Lightly sedated for shoeing (fronts only) as hadn’t been shod before coming to us and this made her more comfortable over flinty paths but could return to barefoot and is good to trim.

Lots of videos and photos available throughout the levels. Comes with all tack and rugs.
