Lexi is our very sweet 9 year old Shetland pony who we have owned for 5 years and has been a lovely companion to each of my daughter's ponies.

Sadly for us her job here is now done and she is looking a little lonely by herself. It is time to find her a new forever home.

It is most important that she moves on to a knowledgeable home as she does have a tendency to get laminitic if allowed too much grass. We limit her intake, and most of the year have a “weight watchers” paddock fenced off for her or muzzle her to go out in the big paddock. She doesn't need rugging and is happy living in or out.

She’s had her annual flu injections alongside the ponies we’ve had here, and is good as gold with the farrier, dentist and anyone else who tends to her.

She loves to be fussed and will stand patiently for children to groom and cuddle her. Being a Shetland though she is stubborn and strong willed, and is not suitable to be looked after by a child. She has never been ridden and would be best suited to the job she has always had of being a companion to other ponies / horses.

11.3hh black / brown Shetland Cross Mare 5 yrs old. Wonderful pony who has been the perfect companion for us.

Has lunged, long reined, had tack on, done poles and loose jumped. Been out on the roads and farm, we just don't have a light jockey available to do the rest.

Good with farrier, dentist, to groom, bath, trim, catch, lead. Loves fuss. Such an easy pony to have around.

Vaccinated, teeth etc up to date.

Looking for a home that will love and enjoy her as much as we have.

Tommy is a 10 year old registered Shetland, just waiting for a new family to love.

He's been used for lead rein and with his previous owners loved doing first ridden and going to shows.

Tommy is happy living with mares, geldings, sheep, alpacas, donkeys and pigs!

Tommy is good to catch, box, clip, and in traffic, has never needed shoes, and has never had sweet itch or laminitis.

The only thing Tommy doesn't like is driving and because that's what I bought him for, he is why he is for sale to the very best of homes.

Many photos and videos available.

**BEWARE**

BOGUS EMAILS & BUYERS!

Ref #: 22412

Increasing numbers of internet advertisers are receiving emails from bogus buyers, attempting to scam sellers

This tactic is a worldwide problem; however it would appear to be on the rise in the equine industry, targeting everything from horses and ponies for sale, to horseboxes, trailers and tack

**EXAMPLE SCAM ALERT**

We've been informed of a new email scam doing the rounds. This time the scam email in commonly coming from ‘Travis Bennett’ & 'Cynthia PT', asking a list of questions & offering to transfer a deposit and payment for shipping. Please ignore this email and if you have time report it to Action Fraud, for more details click HERE

In another instance the scammer will contact you via email asking if your horse is still for sale, this will be followed by an email containing 23 questions as shown on the picture on the left. Please do not respond to this email. Sorry for any inconvenience caused and rest assured we are doing our best to combat this.

Another scam which is particularly common, is  when theadvertiser is contacted about an item, asking for more images, and then once the images have been received the bogus buyer will agree to send a cheque for the full amount.  At this point the seller is asked to email their full contact details to enable the buyer to send payment. The seller is then contacted again saying that the cost of shipping has accidently been included on the cheque, and could the seller forward the cost of shipment onto a courier, which is also bogus

These scams can vary, however emails are often written in broken English and written in an over friendly style.  We urge HorseQuest customers to respond to email enquiries with caution. If something sounds too good to be true, it often is!

If you think you’ve been scammed then we strongly recommend that you contact the police
