Bertie is a super horse with a big character he is looking for a mummy (or daddy) to spend some time with him and love him

 He Raced 5 times as a 2 year old but didn’t take to it as it meant he had to gallop very fast over short distances! (As he was bred to sprint) 

Bertie is not your usual thoroughbred, he is calm and easy to do alone or in company, he has a good turn of foot but loves to jump and although he was bred to flat race his heart is in Eventing/ponyclub/ridingclub type activities

He has huge scope to do eventing and jumps 1.05m with ease

We have owned him since he was a 2yr old and he has been totally re-schooled and loves his new job very much, he has done showing, SJ, XC, Dressage and pony club camp and rallies etc he has been to the beach and was well behaved in the open space

If you don’t ride him for 2 or 3 days he is just the same as if you ride him everyday not silly or sharp

He is snaffle mouthed in all disciplines. Unlike lots of racehorses he has a beautiful soft mouth

Has been turned out with both mares and geldings and likes to be boss of the field

He is good to catch box and shoe. He is easy to handle in and out of the stable

At shows he is well mannered and will stay tied up to the lorry/trailer with a net happily all day  

He has lived out but is also just as happy in the stable. He will load on a trailer or lorry, alone or in company, and will happily stand onboard whilst you sort out entries etc

He is well mannered for the vet, dentist and physio. He has had his teeth and back done recently and is up to date with his vaccinations

He has competed unaffiliated in SJ indoors and out, and interschool’s Eventing. He loves to jump and is not spooky, he is always steady with a jump in front of him, and is brave cross country, including water and ditches, he will hack alone and in company and is good in traffic

He is ready to go BE and has plenty of scope. Bertie is always trying to please. He is very quick to learn, fit and ready to do any job asked of him, he would suit almost any rider as he will go first or last in a group or will happily hack alone

He comes with leather tack and turnout rugs, is open to vet
