Joey (aka Silver Royale) is a 16.3hh grey Irish Sports Horse gelding 8 years old, by Stormhill Miller. This fun loving gentle chap is a pleasure to ride and own, has a friendly personality, loves to please, willing to learn and I have owned him since he was a 4 year old.

He is easy and uncomplicated to ride with uphill well balanced paces, he has competed at British Dressage Novice with scores up to 74.1% and currently has 153 points, and more recently has started competing Elementary with scores up to 66.62% with 20 points to date, and he is working towards Medium at home.

If he is not sold I plan to take him to a Petplan Elementary Area Festival he has qualified for and he came 9th at the Kingswood Novice Area Festival last year.

He has good looks, superb short coupled conformation, good limbs and has a nice jump so I’m sure he would do well in the show ring, working hunter or go eventing like his breeding suggests he should be good at.

He hacks out alone or in company, has seen hounds, good to box, shoe, clip, catch etc. and is friendly and easy to do.

Lovely looking horse with 3 correct paces by Mooiman out of a Democraat mare. Competed (lightly and not recently) in Novice Dressage, working Elementary / Medium at home.

On the ground he is very gentle and easy to do, I let my four year old child groom him. He is good to shoe and box, but dosn't like the vet.

He is not the easiest of rides and needs a strong capable rider to bring out the best in him. He has also been schooled by a professional over jumps, is cross country schooled and taken part in hunt rides where he has been impecably well behaved.

Very sad sale due to work, family commitments and other horses. He has been with us since a foal. Has sarcoids, hence reduced price

William has three correct paces

He won his two Elementary debut tests last year and now has a total of 135 BD points, 114 being Novice , 7 Prelim and 14 being Elementary

Most recently he had a successful outing with 72% in a prelim and scoring 67% in a novice. Having not been to a show in a while. He will be profiled out at Novice and Elementary next time out

He works lovely on the flat and is schooled correctly, he is a horse who can be ridden by most capabilities of rider with a great fun temperament. He was bred to event but his paces lead him down the dressage route. He has good lateral work and a lovely medium

William hacks alone or in company and has a level head when out riding around the fields etc - He is easy to deal with at shows and will suit any amateur wanting to go out and win

He is good to do in all ways. box, shoe, clip, dentist

Bred by his last owner he has only ever had one other owner who spent the last few months doing unaff dressage, sadly her circumstances have changed so for no fault of his own he is now for sale

Will's new home is very important and his breeder would like to stay in touch with his new owner

William is currently being professionally schooled by Noah Brook at N.B.Equine

Stunning 7 year old Dressage horse for sale that would suit a professional, amateur or junior/young rider. He would make a great team horse and has 3 correct, well balanced paces with the "look at me factor".

He is currently competing at BD Medium with ease, working at Advanced Medium at home and ready to start competing at this level.

He has Excellent paces and his Lateral work comes easy to him with no rythmical changes in the pace.

He has showjumped up to 1.20m with an effortless athletic jump, this horse is a real athlete giving any rider an enjoyable ride.

An absolute dream on the yard with a lovely personality, certainly a yard favouite.

Would be perfect for a professional but easy enough for a junior coming off ponies as is a very light ride with a lot of adjustability.

Would also suit a lady rider looking to excel and qualify for Championships.

Only for sale as rider is an Eventer and he Is not bold enough cross country.

Super to hack, shoe, box and clip.

5* home a must for this wonderful boy who is looking to excel in a Dressage career.

I bought this mare in order to compete in BD in the north of Scotland but there has been too little and I have lost heart. I have thought about taking a foal off her but again, I see no future in that hence I have decided to part with her.

She is a really easy mare to have around, good to clip, catch, box, has no vices, placid, easy to lead, not spooky about the yard machinery and gets on well with all the other horses. She loads into my relatively small Iveco lorry and travels well.

We have only done one competition this season and she was an easy first but best of all, her behaviour was perfect all day, an easy journey, didn't stress when her friend left her and stood tied up at the lorry without any problem.

She has the most amazing paces and would still take someone past Elementary I believe without too much work.

Happy to collect from Inverness airport and to provid accommadation.

Max is a stunning looking horse that has the most amazing temperament and attitude to work. He does NOT have your normal Stallion behaviour.... being able to happily be turned out in a normal fenced (P&R with electric fencing) paddock with other horses around. Max has also been lead around the yard by our 10yo daughter.

Max has always been super easy to ride....WITHOUT a need to be lunged before ridding, even if not sat on for a week!!!

His pedigree is loaded with FEI GP horses. Max on his own merit, is a licensed son of premium stallion, Millenium who was 2nd Reserve Champion at the 2010 Trakehner licensing in Neumunster. In 2012 he became Trakehner Vice Champion & 2013 Winner of the 70 day test. Max's motherline brings the blood of the great Rubinstein I...

At his licensing Max has obtained several scores of 8.0 and above when he was presented to the South German Verband.

This is a rare opportunity to purchase a extremely high quality horse whom shows all the attributes that are needed at the top.

Max must be seen to be fully appreciated.

I bought this horse as a youngster with lovely paces and full of dressage potential. He had already qualified for the Hickstead Prelim Championship before I bought him. He is a pink papered Hanoverian registered British Warmblood.

We built up a partnership and I introduced him to hacking on the road , along with travelling to his first few shows as soon as we were ready.

I am a middle aged experienced rider but I find him a little sharp for me and I now feel I am holding him back . He should be out competing and learning a higher standard as I am sure he would excel with a confident ambitious rider /owner .

I have only concentrated on dressage with him . I am sure he would jump aswell but he would need training to introduce him

To jumps. We have used poles on the ground to assist with flatwork training . He is snaffle mouthed. I am very sad to be selling my lovely young friend .

  • Since owning him I have concentrated on unaffiliated dressage Prelim tests plus a couple of novice tests
  • He has had good results being well placed very early on in his career

Very sadly for sale Classic Wishbone one to fabulous horses found and trained by Rebecca and Gareth Hughes.  Bought from Holland, Bones, just 10 years old, was with the Hughes until I went to university in 2013 and I rather naively thought that I could complete a degree and progress with my horse.

Bones has been ridden on a regular basis but I didn't find time to compete as I am based in central London and getting in and out to compete has proved impossible. I have sadly now resigned myself to the fact that I cannot do him justice and therefore am looking for a first class home for my much loved horse.

Bones is a KPMG 16.2 gelding and is working at home to advanced medium, he is great at his lateral work and showing great promise with his passage and piaffe. He is a very friendly horse in the stable and would suit someone who like me had ambitions to succeed at higher levels with him. He is very handsome, floaty and much admired when he competes. He has twice been runner up in BD talent events and has great compliments on his sheets.

Since last autumn Bones has been training daily with Richard Barratt and has continued to improve, has really developed his top line and is looking absolutely fabulous. Bones now needs to find someone who will appreciate him and give him a loving home. Please feel free to speak directly with Richard who will give you his views on the horse or call me if you wish.

Video and more photos on request. Please no time wasters as this is a heartbreaking sale.

16.3hh 8 year old mare by Dayano.  This beautiful mare is bred for dressage but prefers an all-round lifestyle.  She jumps and is brilliant to hack – even looking after novice riders.

In the school she is fun, forward and very sensitive.  She has competed just once, last week, where she behaved perfectly and won her Novice section.

She is a horse that always tries her best and is a pleasure to ride.  Loves turnout but rides the same whether she has been our or not.

Never naps and always forward going.  Very easy to keep at home and has no handling issues or vices.

Home extremely important.

Stunning bay Spanish stallion, 8 years, 168 cm

Modern type,  huge presence and power,  absolutely straight, phenomenally powerful and expressive trot,  great hindleg,  big but very workable canter, can tense up in walk, but capable of getting 8's in the arena with calm and sensitive rider

He moves like the best of warmbloods. A serious eye catcher wherever he goes.  Olympic rider Beatriz Ferrer Salat spotted him last time out at a competition and said she would love to train him and his rider!

Beautiful head,  impeccable limbs and conformation.  Good X-rays.  Has worked without shoes for the last year

Adorable easy  temperament, loves people, turns out next door to other stallions, hacks out, good with tiny children and dogs.  Good to handle in every way

Exceptionally trainable.  Beautiful passage and canter pirouettes, showing nice piaffe steps

He is ready to compete at PSG, and with his amazing passage and talent for piaffe should easily go to GP

Sensible, dedicated BYRDS rider wanting to progress from BD Novice looking for a sensible horse that can work up to medium; established half pass, a change either way would be a bonus. Does also need to be sane, sensible and relatively straightforward.

5* Knowledgeable, horse centered home on small calm livery yard with lovely daily routine and daily turnout. We can offer a varied life of weekly private training, BYRDS clinics and camps, schooling, competing and off road hacking etc tailored to suit the horses needs.
Suit an older horse looking to step down a gear or maybe someone off to uni who is unsure if they want to commit to selling yet.

Happy to purchase, loan or lease (small budget so older horse, one coming back from an injury or where home is more important than price) I know unfortunately we are looking for the sort of horse that doesn’t get advertised: not in our price bracket anyway.

Plenty of references available.

We are based near Bath and are willing to travel for the right horse.

"Professional, experienced and fun.”

“We came to Lotty from western Canada in search of something we could not find in North America and she totally delivered.  Our entire experience, from organizing our trip to finding just what we were looking for in a horse and then vetting and transport, Lotty and her partners were professional, experienced and above all fun!!!!  We would highly recommend Lotty of Suspension Dressage Sales to anyone looking for their dream horse as she definitely helped us find ours!”

CHERYL ROBERTS,STATION LANE STABLES, AIRDRIE, ALBERTA, CANADA

"The whole process was seamless.”

“I had been training with Abi Hutton for a couple of years and when I decided to start looking for my next horse, Suspension Dressage was recommended to me. As soon as I contacted Lotty any doubt or worry I had soon disappeared. Lotty was very attentive, sensitive to my needs and genuinely keen to help. The whole process was seamless, Lotty’s colleagues in Holland were just as friendly and professional. Lotty was on the end of the phone throughout the trip offering guidance and support. Suspension Dressage took all the stress and worry out of buying a horse. For me this was a trip of a lifetime and I am so delighted to have found such an amazing horse, it really is a dream come true.”

CLAIR REED, ENGLAND

"I was impressed with Lotty’s honest & knowledgeable approach”

“We had been considering buying a young dressage dressage horse for my niece Amy for a while and saw an advertisement for Suspension Dressage Sales.  We were initially very nervous of viewing and buying a horse abroad but after a phone call to Lotty I was impressed with her honest and knowledgeable approach so we decided to proceed further.  Lotty made the whole process easy and very enjoyable.  Lotty advised us on the typical process and what to expect before we left and helped us to compile a short list of horses. We were met at the airport and taken around to  some excellent yards over two days, we were even treated to a trip to the Dutch National Championships.  We saw seventeen excellent quality well trained horses (many more than we had originally short listed) and Amy rode twelve of them.  Lotty assisted us with our final choice which also happened to be her first original recommendation from our very first phone call!  Lotty then helped us through all the stages of the purchase vetting, transport and even how to get the best rates when transferring the payment in Euros.  Amy has had her new  three year old horse at home now for nearly three months.  He has exceeded all our hopes he is well trained with an absolutely fantastic temperament.  The next time we want a horse we will definitely be back to seek Lotty’s help again the whole process was so easy, enjoyable and most importantly totally successful.”

“I thoroughly recommend Lotty Chatterton’s horse search service, Suspension Dressage Sales as a great contact for finding the perfect horse for clients. We have several in our yard; and a client has the horse that suits her perfectly; temperament was all important. I am looking to buy one soonest!”

“A genuine, reliable & top class way to find your dream horse.”

“I not only have the pleasure of riding Suspension Dressage horses, but I have been involved with clients and horses that have found very happy partnerships together through Suspension Dressage.

Not only does Lotty have a very naturally talented eye for a good horse and experience in bio-mechanics, but being a horse owner herself she is extremely thorough, sympathetic and understanding with the whole process of buying a horse. She is easy to communicate with a operates with utmost integrity.

I cannot recommend Suspension Dressage highly enough as a genuine, reliable, thorough and top class way to find your dream horse.”

“I found my ‘dream horse’ that can full fill all of my goals”

“My work with Suspension Dressage was a pleasant and very rewarding experience. From the initial contact Lotty was informative and professional about the horses I had seen on her website.

Approaching my search long distance from the U.S. I thought I may be at a disadvantage, but actually she did everything necessary to make the process work incredibly well for me. Beginning with selection of horses, organizing my trip, viewing horses, negotiations and finally veterinary examinations and exporting – Lotty was there to guide me through the complete cycle, removing any obstacles and looking out for my best interest.

I am very pleased with my new horse and with Lotty’s guidance and above all I found my ‘dream horse’ that can full fill all of my goals.”

"I have a phenomenal young horse that has the qualities I was just not able to find in the US”

“For anyone considering a horse buying trip to Europe, I would highly recommend Lotty’s Suspension Dressage Sales. Having recently brought home the horse I bought through SDS,  I can confidently say that Lotty and her partners and connections are absolutely the best. From the beginning I was impressed with the level of professionalism, knowledge and service that I found. Lotty and SDS know the business and have many connections in the dressage horse world, which is a big advantage to the buyer. For example, I was able to use one of the best equine vets in Holland for my horse’s pre-purchase exam.

Overall there are many reasons I’d recommend SDS, but one thing that sticks out and is super important to a prospective buyer is that SDS guided me through the process with respect and transparency. I always felt that they were giving their honest opinion and I never felt pressured in anyway.

I really had an amazing experience with Lotty and SDS- it’s something I’ll always be glad I did, not to mention I have a phenomenal young horse that has the qualities I was just not able to find in the US for a reasonable price.”

Name: Surosa (Schoolmistress)
Age: 17 Year old – DOB 30/05/1999
Height: 16.1 HH approx.
Level: Advanced Medium (working PSG)
Colour: Chesnut
Sex: Mare
Breeding: KWPN; IXION AA (Inschallah x Ishali) x Hurosa (Ahoy x Urosa)

His is a wonderful mare with a super temperament, she excels at whatever is asked of her.

Surosa is very well put together, she has subtle, elastic and expressive paces. In the dressage arena she shows super lateral work with great crossing and boasts a very active hind-leg. She has been professionally produced and is a very honest horse. She has a super walk and always warrants an 8 or 9 which is double marks in the dressage arena, her canter is very balanced and presents itself uphill with an athletic feeling. She shows good gymnasticity within the canter and has a good range for the extension and collected work performing flying changes with ease and shows good talent for the sequence changes. She is a very comfortable ride and would be suitable as a young rider horse, but would also accommodate a less advanced rider. She has a very relaxed attitude to her work and is very obedient when training at home or competing away where she has also shown great results.

Surosa’s sire is by Inschallah: a definitive example of an Oldenburg Foundation Sire. Inschallah was a french bred 16.2H Grey who was exported from France to Oldenburg where he became the most important sire next to Furioso II at the famous Volwerk stallion station in Cappein. He was by Isreal AA, whose sire Fantaisiste II is on the pedigrees of a number of french international showjumpers. His dam, Resena AA is by Nithard AA, a leading sire of showjumpers in France. Also on his mother's side we find the stallion Makelaar, who produced the stallion Urban, one of the most sought after stallions in Australia today. Inschallah was approved for breeding by the Oldenburg Verband as well as Hanoverian, Trakehner, Westfalen, Hessen and Rhineland Verbands. Inschallah is also considered a prominent influential bloodline in current Dutch horse breeding. He was a sire with enormous gaits... producing the current desired style of trot in Germany of a more rounded movement, with higher knee action and reaching forward stride... as opposed to the flat leg movement desired years ago. With his powerful frame and extravagant movement, Inscallah has had a big influence on modern warmblood breeding. His offspring have dominated in every aspect... auction foals, show mares, elite foals, conformation show class winners, top dressage horses and show jumpers. Inschallah has sired Olympic medal winning dressage horses and has over 34 fully approved sons. Inshallah also proved especially valuable as a broodmare sire, and sired 83 State Premium mares. In 1995, Germany’s former Oldenburg breeding manager and former Oldenburg N.A. breeding manager, Dr. Roland Ramsauer, said Inschallah blood is currently very popular with European breeders. Inschallah’s impeccable temperament has been successfully and consistently showing up in generation after generation of his offspring. Breeders have discovered that although there are excellent moving stallions available, there have been some problems in regards to undesirable temperaments. Inschallah”s blood produces enormous gaits and solid conformation, but it also produces very suitable sports horse temperaments. Inschallah won the stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf in 1972 and his career as a stallion started to skyrocket, especially when mare owners realized he was throwing jumpers and dressage horses. He has been described by people who know him as a kind and intelligent stallion eager to please and careful with handlers. His offspring are collectively considered quite intelligent and very oriented to be around people.

Surosa’s dam line has also been very successful in the dressage arena, she has taken all the qualities of her breeding and presents herself as a super prospect for someone to learn on and excel themselves in dressage or just be a great partner for the more advanced rider to enjoy.

She is good in a trailer and horsebox, good to shoe, clip and box. She also hacks well alone or in company off and on the roads, and has also taken part in seasonal hunting where she will be happily placed within the field.

  • Breeding: Hannoverian, Weltmeyer (World Cup I x Anka), Dam Parodie (Pike Bube II x Dorika)

Oldencraig is thrilled to present this unbelievably rare opportunity to purchase A Grand Prix Schoolmistress. She is a masterful mover with great power and suppleness. Movements can be executed with lightness and ease and she possesses the real attitude of a horse that loves to show off and captivate any audience.

She has excellent gaits, presence, positive attitude and ride ability making her suitable for an amateur or professional rider. She is a great teacher and will shine further with a competitive rider Mango has all the qualities of a Grand Prix Schoolmistress. She has great lateral work and an exceptional ability in the medium and extended trot with great expression and lift. Her canter is very balanced and she performs the changes with ease. She has ability in her collected work and possesses a natural Passage and correct Piaffe.

Mango’s Sire is Weltmeyer: He is a legend. As the AHS put it, "Weltmeyer continues to almost single-handedly reshape the Hanoverian breed." He was the 1986 winner of the stallion licensing in Verden, and the 1987 winner of the stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf. In the same year Weltmeyer also won the three-year-old stallions classification at the Federal Championships of German Riding Horses in Warendorf. In 1988 he was honoured in Verden as best stallion of his age-group and awarded with the "Freiherr von Stenglin-Prize". One year later he became DLG Champion 1989 in Frankfurt. And last but not least he became "Hanoverian Stallion of the Year" in 1998. As of today, Weltmeyer has produced 70 licensed sons, all of them are excellent stallions. A study of the pedigrees of many internationally prominent Hanoverian dressage horses reveals that many are either by sons of Weltmeyer or out of one of his daughters. At the 2002 Ratje Niebuhr-Show, Weltmeyer was the leding sire. Out of 51 mares which placed first through third in 17 classes, Weltmeyer sired eight, including champion SPS Wiami and and reserve champion Wicke. Overall, his blood was present in one third of all the mares, by from 25% to 50% percent. When it comes to capacity for dressage and the temperament necessary for a top competitor, this stallion simply cannot be beaten. In 2005, Weltmeyer received a Breeding Value Index of 152 points, with an assurance of 99% heritability, from the German Equestrian Federation. His grandsire was world cup I, The Celle State stallion by Woermann out of the mare Sendernixe by Sender was born in 1977. He was bred by Hans-Eduard Börger, Loxstedt-Neuenlande and grew up at the stallion rearing farm Hunnesrück. The chestnut stallion was the winner of the stallion performance test in 1980 scoring 137,65 points. A few years later he became Reserve Champion at the DLG-shows in Frankfurt (1984) and Hannover (1986). Breeders preferred World Cup I as a producer of excellent dressage horses.

Mango’s Dam is Parodie whose sire was Pik Bube: he was a successful sire in his own right, but he became something of a phenomenon when teamed with Donnerhall as a broodmare sire: for the majority of really successful Donnerhall progeny are out of mares by Pik Bube, for example, Davignon, Don Primero, Don Schufro, Donatelli, Donnerbube, Dream of Glory, Duntroon - who were all bred on that magic cross Donnerhall/Pik Bube. Pik Bube was licensed in Verden in 1975, and was Vice-Champion at his 100-Day Test at Adelheidsdorf in 1976.

Under Herbert Rehbein, Pik Bube won 11 of the 12 advanced dressage tests that he competed in his sole year of competition in 1980. During his lifetime he sired 16 licensed sons and 28 state premium mares. He sired performers in all disciplines and his offspring compete in dressage to Grand Prix and Jumping to International S-Level. His daughter, Pikantje was Federal German riding horse champion of 1981, and Pik Bube’s Girl won the 1990 Federal Mare Show in Verden.

Not only has Mango got an impressive pedigree she also has a super competition record and a sweet nature. She has a lot of experience in the arena having competed in Premier League shows and on the international circuit where she represented Ireland. She is well travelled and consistent in her approach and scores. She has spent the last year with her rider teaching her from novice up to Prix St George level. She is an accommodating Schoolmistress to an amateur rider. She also hacks well alone and in company and is good to travel in a box/trailer.

NO DOUBT AN INTERNATIONAL CONTENDER! Truly stunning 17.2 hh 8 year old gelding by Quaprice+ Goodtimes. This outstanding horse has three massive, active paces needed for the International circuit matched with an attitude that wants to learn and please his rider.

This talented horse is working at Advanced Medium and will no doubt be a Grand Prix superstar of the future! He has a kind temperament and is very easy to handle.

This athletic horse is sensitive to ride and learns very fast, he is a horse suitable for a competent amateur but no doubt quality enough for any professional rider.

He has a clean 5 stage vetting and X-rays. Located in Hampshire.
