Let me introduce Dromalga Charity. This stunning big girl is a 16.2h, 7yo black Irish mare.
Charity really is an eye catching stamp of a horse, people comment on her everywhere she goes.
She has three good paces with a balanced canter, she works well in an impressive frame, has won and been placed dressage, always gets lovely comments from the judges and would easily affiliate with the right rider. She is bold and responsive and LOVES to have a job, she thrives on work and loves to get out and do stuff.
And the jump! She makes a fab shape over a fence whether it is coloured poles or cross country, she sorts herself out, checks what's there and then pings while still making it look and feel effortless. She jumps fillers, ditches, water, banks, steps, trakehners and the more you do the better she is. She has tons of scope and would easily affiliate show jumping as well as dressage.
She is a pleasure to take out to shows. You can take her friends away from her and either leave her on the lorry on her own or tied up outside and she doesn't mind.
Charity hacks out alone and in company (she is a bit brighter on her own) and we have used her to nanny babies on the first time cross country.
Charity has hunted in Ireland. I would love to hunt her, I can imagine she would be awesome and if she doesn't sell quickly she will go out autumn hunting. She would also show, she has the looks and the presence to be a serious contender in hunter / working hunter classes.
Charity really is a serious big horse, we think an awful lot of her here. She was bought by me for a livery client from Ireland in February but once she was feeling better after the journey and in regular work it was obvious she was more horse that my client needed. She has gone from strength to strength with the more work she has done and there is still a lot more to come, however she is not for the faint of heart and will only be sold to an experienced and confident rider.
She has a lovely temperament, likes a fuss and a brush, is good to box, shoe, catch, in traffic and is okay to clip ( I put a twitch on her to finish her ears). She is fine out in the field on her own, or will go out with other mares and geldings. She leads in from the field in a bunch of 3 and ties up well on the yard.
Charity is based with me near Marlborough, SN4 9QF. Please call 07888 675300 and go to my Facebook page Kerrie Fleming Horses for more pictures and videos.
