Pencil could easily be mistaken for an Irish sports horse without his Wetherbys passport!

He is a lovely stamp of a horse with uphill paces, an intelligent trainable attitude, and a naturally scopey careful jump.

Pencil has been out of training 12 months and in this time he has proven himself to be very versatile in lots of scenarios. Pencil will hack with a novice mum or a want-to-have fun teenager, hunt, xc and sj competitively at stay away shows, be picked up and put down where he comes back just the same, and goes in the school willing to try and learn any new task asked of him.

Pencil is by no means the finished article, he works through correctly on the bridle nicely into the hand in walk, trot, and canter, but he is still re training being a former race horse. ROR and TAP eligible, for him to excel in a new career he would benefit from regular outings and continued training to build on this foundation. However he would equally suit someone who just wanted a nice horse to ride.

Pencil has very good manners although he is not a cuddly, fussy horse. He is a good doer who will live in or out. He does have a couple of non interfering splints and an old sarcoid scar but otherwise is fit and well having passed a vetting with neck and back x rays 12 months ago.

Lack of time and college commitment forces sale of this genuine versatile horse who could suit a variety of riders.

Mac is a super sweet boy who has taken to retraining like a pro. He is easy to handle, loves a fuss. Clean limbed, retired sound from racing, just wasn’t fast enough.

Going well on the flat, 3 correct paces, would easily do dressage or show.

Plenty of jump, not phased by fillers. Jumped up to 95cm on a ticket. XC schooled and also jumped clear around the Cotswold novice team chase with the team finishing 12th out of 52 teams. Would easily BS or event. Although he has done enough to see a range of different things he has done a limited number of outings with plenty of downtime in between. He’s been brought along slowly and correctly with his future in mind.

Hacks out, has been good in traffic and in open spaces. He s a lovely horse who could go on to do any job. Good to clip, load shoe etc. Based in south wales near Cardiff.

This very special and unique boy has been with me over a year after coming out of training.

We have taken our time but he has been so easy and fun to produce that he has gone on to compete in 3 BYEH classes gaining impressive marks from some of the sports great and good. And also he has competed in and was placed in a ODE around a BE venue. He has jumped some BS clear rounds and will be registered BS soon.

He is very laid back, I have never known a full TB quite this chilled!

He is so easy to ride, we use him to lead babies on their first hacks despite him being a baby himself!

He is very talented! Just because he is quiet does not mean he can’t perform! He has loads of jump, is bold and carful and has really enjoyed the competitions and training days he has done.

He moves incredibly well, is trainable and mannerly on the flat, has started basic lateral work and changes and will go a long way in pure dressage or RoR showing.

A tough, sound, correct young horse who came out of training 100% in all ways and passed his vet check then. Obviously is open to any vetting X-rays etc

He will do a number of jobs very well.

Graham is a flashy moving ex racehorse who retired sound after a moderate career on the flat and over hurdles.

He has been there and done it, hacks nicely on his own and in company- never spooky or silly. He anmazing even in heavy traffic and with farm machinery. Excellent to shoe clip catch box and with super manners in and out of the stable.

Graham stands 15.2 1/2 on the stick and is a nice deep bodied chunky type of horse. His paces are stright and elevated and he would do a super dressage test. Has been to arena hire a jumping shows and lots of hacking. Very nicely schooled this stunning boy is ready for his next chapter.

No sarcoids or melanomas, no blemishes or lumps or bumps. Incredibly pretty head and beautifully marked. Up to date with teeth, farrier and vaccinations. Clipped and in full work this horse would make a super mother daughter share or a happy hack. Super scopey jump so could even go on to serious competing eventing or showjumping. He passed a 5 stage vetting about 5 months ago which was completely satisfactory and can be seen on request.

Freddie is a stunning 9yo, 16.3hh bay gelding, bred by Juddmonte and by top USA stallion Quality Road; registered as Donate with full history known from a foal.

The quality of his breeding is clear to see, as he is a great example of a classic TB with lots of bone, good conformation and visually very impressive. Freddie ran a handful of times on the flat and in 2 P2Ps in Ireland and was just too slow and not made for racing.

We have been retraining Freddie since we purchased him from Ireland in 2021. He is good to hack alone or in company, good to catch, shoe, box etc. Well schooled on the flat, competed in UA Dressage, Arena Eventing, UA ODEs, Show Jumping and enjoyed XC schooling up to 90cm.

Freddie has plenty of scope with potential to go up the levels in time; he is still green so currently most comfortable popping 80-90cm fences and courses, where he is developing confidence and really starting to take you into a fence. Freddie won his two arena eventing outings this spring and is qualified for the 80cm National Arena Eventing Championships at Elland Lodge next year. He has done some low level UA eventing. He has also undertaken some RoR showing, winning championships at local shows and we feel he could really excel in the show ring.

Freddie is not your typical TB, in that he is definitely more of a kick than pull type and is ridden in a snaffle and cavesson at all times.

He would be perfect for a competent rider to do a bit of everything with and have some fun on, or to be more focused down the eventing, dressage or showing route. Whilst Freddie is very laid back most of the time, is still green and takes confidence from the rider, so only a knowledgeable and competent home with experience of TBs for this lovely chap.

Star is a lovely horse who we have produced slowly over the last 15 months, he has a very willing attitude, and has done some ROR classes in hand and ridden, and also some local showing, he behaves impeccably at shows never gets silly or buzzy just takes everything in his stride a real pleasure to do.

He has been x country schooling a couple of times and is bold and brave with plenty of scope.

We have just started competing showjumping with him and he has always been placed in the top 3 every time out, jumping up to 80cm with ease.

He is a horse that could excel in any sphere, a true genuine all rounder. He is great to handle on the ground with no vices and clean limbs. He is good to hack out and good in traffic.

Star is a very easy uncomplicated horse that you can do anything with, one not to be missed. He would suit and excel with a competent rider, my 15 year old daughter rides and competes him, so would be perfect for someone who wants to go up levels and have lots of fun.

She was very well behaved in open fields when we took her XC training and she was happy to trot and canter when asked and all done in a snaffle.

Darcy does have a couple of small sarcoids that do not affect her in anyway and are not in any places where tack will be sitting.

She also has a scar on her left flank that she picked up when she was a foal this does not affect her in anyway or affect her way of going.

Wetherby's - Strike Rate (ire). You can view his flat race record online. Known at home as “Womble”. I can hand on heart say I’ve never met a more sweet natured horse as womble. He was always supposed to be a project but he’s been with me over a year simply because I haven’t been able to face selling him. Once I realised just how lovely this little horse is I decided to give him a long holiday on good grass and boy did he blossom. I’ve had many projects over the years and other sweet natured horses but nothing quite like him. I should add I don’t “deal” simply just have one or two long term projects every 18 months or so. He’ll put his head to your chest for a cuddle and fall asleep on your lap.

He came to me straight off the track, I wanted to know what he’d done and what his temperament was like so took him for a couple of hacks in the early days back in November 2024 where he was super out on the headland around where I live and also in the village where buses and cars etc all pass us. You can tell he’d been with a good trainer who has kept his life well rounded. I then also took him to a pole clinic really just to see how he took to something new and this was when I decided to keep him for myself - he was just SUPER.

Fast forward he’s had his holiday and has had 2 cycles or normal shoeing and is more than ready to be brought back into work but through the last few months I’ve been stepping away from horses to start a new business which is my coffee trailer so my commitments daily will now be in there. I’m offering him as he is from the field as I know a lot of people prefer to have them that way to put their own stamp on. If he doesn’t sell within the first couple of weeks I will bring him into work and price will increase.

He’s up to date with shoes (just had a set on 22nd sept). Vaccs and worming. Will want his teeth doing but having a hard time finding a dentist in our area.

He’s good to deal with in all ways, loads and travels like a dream, I clipped him head to toe end of last winter and he stood like a rock the whole time, has been hot shot twice since having plates off and is getting used to that well. Has been in a mixed herd, geldings only and also will happily go out by himself. Hopefully I’ve covered everything in this add but please don’t hesitate to ask any further questions. I’m sure it goes without saying but he’ll need an experienced person to bring him back into work as he’s had 10 months off. I’m sure as any 4 year old would he will throw some shapes.
