  • Genuine Section A LR or potential FR

Genuine Section A LR or potential FR Thistledown mare, done half a dozen shows including 2 HOYS classes where she’s been having great pulls including a 3rd at Stoneleigh to finish joint 10th in a very very strong class of 29 in appalling weather! Also this week she’s been at the NPS to finish 6th in the M & M LR national final.

Competed in evening performances and looked after her little jockey. However she is only 5 and will need her education continuing and I don’t doubt she will go far.

Very straight forward, broken by a 4 yr old hacking nicely in traffic and done a little off the lead. However we have focused on LR classes. Handled daily by children and will either live in or out. We do think she would easily go off the lead.

Up to date with feet, vaccines and teeth

Twiggy is a 5 yo section B mare... she is full up 128cm but is a fine, quality blood pony. She is very correct ,has clean limbs and good feet. No sarcoids ,lumps of bumps. She is the most stunning looking pony , a real super model!

We brought her earlier in the year as a project unbroken.. she has been super to work with , done plenty of long reining and groundwork and is now riding very sweetly. Taken to ridden life well. She is walk ,trotting and cantering in the school , is popping round a set of fences and has been XC schooling,  going through water complex's etc.. she's been very genuine to her fences both coloured and natural.

She has been out hacking on the roads and up In the forest.. been great with the traffic we have met ( we are on quiet country lanes ).

Been out and did her first little dressage tests .. and scored just under 65 percent in each receiving some lovely comments and a placing.  She was very well behaved out in company and in the collecting ring.

She has been ridden up the road in walk and trot by my 4 yo boy on the lead rein....

Will attend another show this week.. mid August

Produced on could do anyjob .. make a stunning first ridden , potential BS under 10's pony..would Event or make a super pony club pony.. she is a versatile type. Would also be a fab lead rein pony with some milage. Obviously green and has a look at things but of a leg on type ,not a whizzy pony ..

Heart and eyes checked when we purchased but open to vetting.

Very straight pony , not the sort that gets her back up if she has a day off never ever done anything horrible  but she is newly broken so needs producing along side older child / small mother.. experienced home. She's obviously green and wobbly but happy for child to be kicking and flapping.. not a sensitive type . Ridden recently by a 10 yo girl in all paces.

A gorgeous pony that I can't wait to see excell in the perfect home.

A very comprehensive video of her attached...of the stage she is at so please don't ask for more.

No timewasters please

Reasonably Priced to sell has we have to many and have homebreds to get in from the field ASAP. Ready for someone to make their own.

Adorable 13hh 2009 grey new forest pony who’s been there, done it, and got the T-shirt.

He’s got plenty of pony club rallies under his belt, he’s a fun, safe and experienced allrounder.

Harry has three lovely paces on the flat, he’s comfortable and will work in a shape or on the buckle, he will ride off your voice and adjusts his way of going depending who’s on him, he will step down for a more novice incapable child, and step up for a more game, fun jockey.

He’s done pretty much everything and offers a wealth of experience, a brilliant little jumping pony when cross country and showjumping too. Harry is a reliable hack, safe sane and sensible in open spaces, easy to ride and utterly unbothered by traffic, including heavy farm traffic and fast moving vehicles.

A sweet chap on the ground, loves people and he’s everything you’d expect an experienced child’s pony to be.

Open to any vet or trainer.

He’s fantastic to hack out on his own or with others, proven to be very sensible in open spaces and with heavy traffic and farm traffic, not spooky or looky and just wants to please.

Victor is a 12.2 showpony gelding.. broken to ride and hacking out beautifully.. Victor has a few quirks but is sensible hwoever needs the right person.. happier living out as doesn't like to be cooped up.. good to tack up, lead, tied up, trim.. always the first to the gate.. would suit a confident child to have fun on.

Victor has so much to give and is a beautiful pony.. is definitely a hoys pony if done properly. Hacked out by small competent child.. schooled by small adult.. shown lightly, found it a little overwhelming but just needs more education with shows.

- Happy on the ground and doesn’t pull grumpy faces - he would prefer to lick or kiss you instead
- Passed a 5 stage vetting prior to purchase 5 years ago (no laminitis or sweet itch etc)

This special boy has started both my children off on their riding journeys. My youngest is now moving onto our BS starter pony, so he needs to find a new family to join. If I had another child then I would not be parting with him because he is so amazing for this stage of development. We want a knowledgeable, experienced and loving home.

This pony is a special first pony with an exceptional CV in this particular role. We would like him to continue to thrive and enjoy the special role of starting little children off.

POA. Located near junctions 17 and 18 M4. 07887641906.

Maisey was only backed at 11yrs old and so has very low miles and still looks incredible. She has plenty more years in her teaching lucky children.

We have owned Maisey for 3 years now. We bought her for our 4yr old son who has done everything on her since -PC camp x3, rallies, Showing, mounted games, SJ Beach holidays and endless hacking.

Maisey is a perfect lead rein pony. She trots or canters when you run and stops when you stop. She doesn’t nibble or annoy the handler and will stand all day. Never bitten, kicked or pulled a face. She will be pampered all day long. She will also take a child off the lead, jumping a small 30cm course of showjumps happily.

Maisey will happily be led off another horse and I have cantered down a huge beach leading my 5yr old on her. She is totally trustworthy. Not one to get fizzy when others canter off away from her. She can have weeks off and will be exactly the same when you get back on.

Maisey is the lowest maintenance pony. She is bare foot, will live in or out, and lives on fresh air. She has no veterinary history and never had lami.

Homes will be vetted and we would love another experienced pony club home for this gem of a pony. We are still in contact with her 3 previous owners which is credit to her nature .

12.2 black mare, 13 years

Absolutely heartbreaking sale of this special little pony who has given my daughter so much when her confidence was at rock bottom. We have only had Star a year and she is only for sale as she's done such a good job that my daughter has now fully regained her confidence and taken a huge leap forward in ability.

Prior to coming to us, Star was a lead-rein/first off-lead pony for a tiny tot. My daughter was more established although extremely nervous due to a frightening experience on her previous pony; and Star stepped up perfectly answering every question asked of her. She's unflappable - my daughter has ridden her at night in the middle of a storm, with fireworks going off all around them! She is also ridden regularly in open fields, bareback in a head collar.

In the past year, this pony has turned her hoof to pretty much everything including:

*All aspects of Pony Club (rallies, competitions, stay away Pony Club camp)
*Showjumping up to 60cm, with many wins and placings under her belt (she has some speedy little jump-off turns in her when asked!)
*Cross Country
*Sponsored and beach rides, both of which she behaved impeccably and was never spicy or sharp
*Pole work clinics
*Obstacle course clinic in which she was totally unphased, taking it all in her stride

Star is 100% on the road (we have to cross a bridge over the M25 to get to Lullingstone Park and she doesn't care a jot). She's not fussed about large vehicles or farm machinery. She loves hacking and is perfectly behaved on her own or with other horses. She will go first or last and doesn't get affected by any nonsense going on around her. She will give your child the steadiest of canters if that's what they ask of her, or she will step up a gear if asked. We've never tried to lead her from another horse but I imagine she'd be totally fine with it! She is also very used to dogs running around her legs.

She was previously proven great on the lead-rein and she's stepped up so willingly for my daughter. She has lots of showjumping wins and placings at bottom hole, 30, 40, 50 and 60 (she qualified for Sunshine Tour 50 and 60 this year) but I feel like 50 is the top end of her comfort zone. For this reason, I think her perfect next best friend will be a less established child who won't put too much pressure on Star to jump the bigger jumps. I wouldn't say she's a true first ridden pony as she's not "point and shoot" - her rider needs to actually ride her, but she will actually teach your child to ride!

Star is fabulous to do in every way - farrier, clip, dentist, vet, bath - she's handled by my 9 year old in every aspect of day to day care. Star will come to call in the field. She will happily skip on to a trailer (loaded by my daughter every time) and will travel perfectly alone or in company. We have never tried her on a 3.5t but I believe that's how she always travelled in her previous home. She will happily stand on the trailer at a show and would be exactly where you left her, happily tied up with a hay net, if you left her to go to buy cheesy chips!

She is so easy going - she'll totally fit in with your routine. She is currently out at night and in during the day (she does like her morning snooze!) but wouldn't be fussed at all by a change. We would like her to go to a home with good, year-round grazing as she does enjoy being out. Star won't show you a different side if she hasn't been ridden in a week (or even two).

Tack (including lovely saddle purchased new last year) and full, quality wardrobe (including some brand new, never used) can go with her under separate negotiation.

She will only be sold to the very best of homes who will be happy to keep in touch. Home is more important than price. She is so, so special to us and we are struggling to come to terms with saying goodbye to her. Unfortunately it's just not an option for me to keep two and we have found our next pony unexpectedly quickly.

WhatsApp messages only initially please.

11.2hh Registered Welsh Section A mare, 16 years

Heartbreaking sale of our much-loved pony Bunny. We have owned Bunny for 4 years and in that time, she has done everything.

As my daughters first pony she has done lots of pony club, hacking, fun rides, local shows and some showing classes, beach rides, mini show jumping and numerous PC camps. She has also taught my younger son to ride, who has sadly no interest in riding so we feel she would be better off finding a new little person to love her, as she is now fully outgrown by my daughter.

Bunny is super safe on the road and in open spaces, we think she would make an excellent hunting pony and loves to pop small fences.

She is great on the lead rein and goes forward off the lead rein. She can also step up as your child grows. She has won lots of 30/40 cm jumping classes and Pony club pony classes. On the flat she moves like a dream so would be fab in the show ring. Showing is not our thing, so we haven't done too much as my daughter found it boring!

Great to do, she is easy to bath, load, farrier, clip, travel and handled by the children to do everything.

Only for sale to the very best of homes, who will keep in touch.

She comes with a full wardrobe including tack. Lovely Kent and Masters pony GP saddle with changeable gullet bought new for her and a multitude of rugs and accessories.

Shes done some work of the lead rein but only walk & trot. Very brave when out hacking & will happily walk out in front.

Hacks out alongside a guided busway, use to pushbikes, quads & farm machinery.

Showing great potential when loosed over a fence, very good technique for someone looking for a Whp project.

Meet Matty, a charming and genuine 4-year-old bay gelding standing at 14.2hh – with a lovely, solid stamp and presence. While Matty shares that easy-going cob nature, he’s very much his own pony, with a slightly more forward and responsive feel under saddle, making him a fun and rewarding ride for someone wanting a confident giving pony.

Matty has a super temperament – calm, affectionate, and full of personality. He’s the type who quietly watches everything going on, always curious but never over-excitable. He’s been a pleasure to produce so far, taking everything in his stride with maturity beyond his years. Whether it’s hacking out, flatwork, or popping a jump, Matty gives things a go with a willing attitude and a kind heart.

On the ground, he’s a joy to handle – respectful, easy to lead, and very affectionate without being pushy. He loves a fuss, happily stands for grooming, and is always up for a cuddle or scratch. In the stable or the field, Matty is straightforward and polite, settling quickly into routine and making friends with everyone.

Under saddle, Matty goes in a snaffle and has a soft, balanced way of going. He’s responsive yet safe, with just the right amount of go – ideal for someone who wants something that listens but doesn’t get strong or sharp. He’s proving to be confident over fences, showing scope and a natural ability that would lend itself well to Pony Club, riding club, or fun outings. He’s happily jumping small courses and has schooled over logs, ditches, water, and banks without hesitation.

Matty hacks out sensibly both alone and in company, is used to farm traffic, and has seen a variety of environments. He’s good to catch, box, shoe, and clip.

He’d be a brilliant partner for someone looking to build confidence, enjoy low-pressure fun, or bring on a kind, uncomplicated cob with plenty of potential. He could easily turn his hoof to anything – from happy hacking to low-level competition, and everything in between.

Matty has no stable vices and is open to vetting. We’re happy to offer delivery anywhere in the UK and provide an exchange option if needed – though we’re pretty sure once you meet him, you’ll want to keep him around.

Meet Cookie – a beautifully marked 14.2hh piebald gelding, 5 years old and packed with personality. This eye-catching cob has both the looks and the nature to make someone an absolutely brilliant best friend and partner. He’s a lovely type, with a lovely natural balance, calm brain, and a fantastic can-do attitude.

Cookie has been slowly and correctly produced, and he’s proving to be a really smart, willing pony with a very sweet nature. He’s ideal for someone looking for a pony that’s safe, sane and full of potential – whether you want to enjoy long hacks, have fun at Pony Club, or eventually do a bit of everything.

He’s a real favourite on the yard – easy to have around, always polite to handle, and very affectionate without being in your pocket. He loves human company, stands like a rock to be groomed, and is happy to load, travel, and settle in new places.

Under saddle, Cookie rides in a snaffle and goes in a lovely rhythm. He’s responsive without being sharp, happy in open spaces, and not the spooky or silly type. He has a lovely work ethic and is proving willing over poles and small fences – honest, genuine, and improving every week. Cookie has started basic schooling over cross-country fences and has shown he’s brave and steady, taking everything in stride.

He hacks out alone or in company, is good with farm machinery and traffic, and has seen a wide variety of sights and sounds. He’s got the kind of temperament that makes him enjoyable and safe to ride, suitable for a riding school.

Cookie would suit a capable teen, small adult, or even a novice – he’s that kind and sensible. With his solid foundation and steady progress, he’s ready to continue his journey with someone who wants to enjoy a well-mannered, friendly, and versatile cob.

Cookie is open to vetting, has no stable vices, and is up to date with everything. Delivery across the UK available, and we offer an exchange option if needed – but we think once you meet him, you won’t want to let him go.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Ridden by multiple ages including a 4yr old Boy, has seen farm machinery, tractors etc will lead off the back of a Quad Bike - Bold & Brave.

£5,500 ONO
  • Welsh Section A
  • Dapple grey
  • Mare
  • 5 years
  • 11.2 hands
  • Thistledown Queen Mary
