Teddy 12.2hh, 11year old gelding.

Very smart pony with a super character and brain.

He is established at 70/80 BS, however, has competed in 90cm classes.

He is forward going and can be strong but is never nasty, just enthusiastic. Handled by children, can be headstrong on the ground at times, so needs an experienced home with competent adults.

Hacks alone or in company and leads off of another horse.

He has attended many stay aways and pony club camps.

Achievements are as followed:
- Qualified for stepping stones nationals 2025
- Qualified for cats & pipes Scope 2025
- 6th 70cm SJ bicton mini champs 2024
- 8th 70cm eventing bicton pc regionals 2024
- Qualified 80cm and 90cm Hartpury championships
- Qualified spring festival 80cm
- Jumped in the academy teams 2024
- Qualified schools finals 70cm and 80cm
- Jumped british novice and blue-chip qualifiers
- Has arena evented and xc schooled

He would suit a confident, established rider, who wants a fun, forward ride. High four figures, no time wasters.

BLACKTHORN PICTURE PERFECT – “FLO”

Exceptional Class 1 Connemara mare

Approx. 14.1hh | 5 years old | Dapple Grey

Snaffle-mouthed

Flo is a beautifully bred Class 1 Connemara with quality, presence and an outstanding temperament. By a famous sire “Contepomi Cashel” out of “Blackthorn Pollyana” renowned for her kind nature, Flo truly combines breeding, ability and trainability. With an excellent grading score on her own merit.

She has enjoyed an excellent showing career from a young age, winning the British Connemara Breed Show when shown in hand as a 2-year-old. Highlights include Reserve Champion at North Somerset Show and 2nd in hand at Royal Windsor as a 3-year-old.

Backed and carefully produced, Flo has gone on to achieve wins and placings in show jumping, dressage and showing. Most recently she won both her dressage classes, took two firsts in showing and was Champion. She is a fantastic prospect for PC, show jumping, eventing, NSEA or working hunter, with plenty more to give.

She has been recently ridden by an 11-year-old, is sensible and straightforward, happy hacking at dusk, confident on busy roads and bold across open spaces. She is safely jumping ditches on the heathland and is always ridden snaffle-mouthed.

Flo has a lovely, affectionate character, enjoys learning and is easy in every way. She is good to clip, shoe, load and travel, and is fully up to date with vaccinations, teeth, physio and farrier.

Sad sale as her young jockey has sadly lost interest, and Flo would be wasted as a field ornament. She truly deserves a partnership with either a small adult or a child/teenager who will enjoy sharing her enthusiasm, love of work and fun outlook on life.

A genuine, talented and kind mare looking for her next best friend.

Twinkle - true first ridden all-rounder

Twinkle (Beros Linnet) is a star!

She is safe both on the ground and ridden. She doesn’t kick, bite, buck, rear, bolt etc. She’s been a lead rein, first and second pony. She is able to step it up or down depending on the experience and confidence of the rider. For beginners or nervous riders she is more woah than go. However, for an experienced child that loves speed, she will fly. She looks after her rider and we’ve confidently put complete beginners on her without a lead rein.

We’ve owned her for nearly 4 years. During this time she was on working livery for a couple of years, teaching children to ride and canter, hacking with beginners, taking riders off lead rein and being fussed over at pony days. She was also a second pony for our autistic daughter doing all Pony Club activities and some competing.

She has then been on loan to a couple of local Pony Club families, first to take a child of lead rein and then to restore confidence after a bad fall. She is no longer needed at her loan home and our daughter is now happy for her to be sold and loved by more children. If circumstances allowed we’d even keep her as a pet.

She enjoys her work which has included lots of Pony Club rallies, training and Pony Camps plus other local clinics and competitions including gymkhanas and showing shows (first ridden and M&M), winning lots of rosettes. She has jumped courses up to 50cm and higher in chase me Charlie. She loves hacking and cross country. She is great to hack, safe around traffic, doesn’t spook or get over excited. She’s happy to hack as part of a group or alone and can be led with a bike. She hasn’t been led by another horse but knowing her temperament this wouldn’t be an issue. She’s regularly done the school run and loves being fussed by the children at the gate. She’s also used to other animals around, including dogs and riding on hound exercise.

She is safe on the ground and is happy being groomed, pampered and hugged. Shes easy to catch and can be handled 100% by children. She’s good with the dentist and farrier, being barefoot and had never shoes. She is no problem being clipped or bathed. She’s lived out with mares and geldings and as part of a herd. She respects fencing and has lived out 24/7. She is currently unclipped and unrugged. She’s also happy being stabled as long as it’s not barn style where she’s completely shut in. She likes to be able to see the sky.

She’s a hardy native pony that lives on fresh air and has never had laminitis. She is up to date with vaccines, teeth, physio etc. She can be left for days or weeks at a time without being ridden and is just as calm as always. She never needs to be lunged. However, like some of us, she benefits from regular exercise to manage her weight.

She can be wary of some mounted games equipment, standing firm and not wanting to come too close. However, with gentle reassurance and patience she overcomes her reticence. She would make a fantastic mounted games pony and if we had the facilities we’d be keeping her just for this.

She is affectionate and will come to you in the field and whinny to you. She is a fantastic pony and loved by children and adults alike. We adore her, but feel it’s now time for her to make another child very happy (sale only not loan). We would welcome a home that stays in touch.

Comes with full tack and wardrobe. Her saddle will need refitting as her current loan uses a thorn pad.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

  • Special mare

Tentatively Available – New Home or Potential Lease (with Kobi’s approval)

Very tentatively looking for a new home, or possibly a lease, for this special mare. Any home would need to be fully agreed with Kobi.

Stands at a full up 128cm. She will jump the biggest of tracks and, while she has proven quirky in the past, she has returned to work after having a foal and is now confidently jumping 90s double clear, with no issues going into the ring.

Ridden by Kiki at home as well.

An absolute saint to handle – easy, kind, and a pleasure to do in every way.

Would suit a pony-mad child who is fully into their ponies, ideally someone interested in natural horsemanship, as she truly thrives on a strong one-to-one relationship.

Kobi has had her since they were both five years old, and he does absolutely everything with her.

Previously qualified Workers RI.

Currently out hunting, which she loves, and she jumps absolutely everything.

Would suit a home where she can do a bit of everything.

It goes without saying: no flappy Florences and no nervous Nellies – she needs a confident/ cool/ calm rider.

Home is paramount. If the correct home isn’t found she’ll go back in foal as Kobi is far too big for her now otherwise Kobi will be 30 years old, 6’6 tall and size 15 feet still riding her! ???????

120cm 6yo Section A Mare – Future Cradle Stakes Superstar

Beautiful, quality 2019 Welsh Section A mare standing at 120cm.
Easy to handle in every way, kind-natured and straightforward.

Lightly produced and now confidently popping around small courses. She is still green, as expected for her age, but shows a genuine, willing attitude and improves every ride. Correct type and temperament to make a top cradle stakes pony.

She has already dipped her toe into the show ring with success:
• Placed in a HOYS M&M Lead Rein qualifier
• 3rd in her Royal International (RIHS) qualifier

Her pedigree also speaks for itself – she is a full sister to Glyncoch Honeypot, a consistent top performer who has qualified for HOYS for the past three consecutive years, placing 3rd in 2024 and 6th this year.

A seriously exciting prospect for someone wanting to produce a top-class performance pony.

Rio.
Rio is a cracking pony with lots to give. She has qualified for POYS and competed at STARS in her previous home, proving to enjoy competition. When out and about she is always chilled out. With us at our first showing show my daughter and her won junior ridden champion and she got a rosette in every class we had entered. However, Rio is Not a novice ride and needs a very experienced and competent handler and confident rider as she pushes boundaries and can be pushy when handled if she lacks a firm but fair leader.

She is never strong and has perfect brakes. She’s very voice commanded on the lunge and works nicely. Rio has been to the beach with us twice and was not strong whatsoever, she always comes back to you when you want to slow down. She loves hacking and is in no way spooky with a confident rider.

Throughout her life she has done a bit of everything, xc, showjumping etc, with her previous owner. Again in the past before she came to us she went out doing low level eventing mainly for fun and competed at jumping competitions around 80/90cm but with my daughter around 50/60.

Rio and my daughter just arent clicking and after a year of having her my daughter is struggling with confidence. We feel Rio thrives off of someone who is confident. For this reason we found it in Rio’s best interests to find her a new home. She would really excel with the right person.

Good to shoe, bath, clip etc. loves to stand and be pampered for hours. Up to date with everything, farrier, vaccines, dentist, ect.
Open to full vettings

Suitable for very experienced older teen or small adult.

He is easy to do on the ground and is loaded and clipped by my 10-year-old. Will live in or out, is barefoot and no history of health issues or maintenance required.

He has been in the same home for 4 years, doing low level pony club but now his jockey has moved on, he has shown the appetite to go out and do more. Would make a great event pony as he is starting to work in an outline and jumps bravely. He has also tried polocrosse and games and was unfazed by it all.

A lovely little pony for a confident child looking to jump or do pony club activities.

Dewi is proving to be a sensible young chap with a mature head on his shoulders. Hes just over 11 hands has plenty of bone, type and movement, a real traditional stamp of a pony.

Hes been ridden by my 6 year old daughter on the lead and currently walk trot and cantering with children of different ages and abilities.

Hes hacked out, has popped a jumped and will be continuing his education while here with me.

Vaccinated up to date, good with the farrier, good to catch and handled daily by children.

Lots of videos and pictures.

Porcha is every mother’s dream pony. We purchased Porcha to teach our youngest child to ride from a complete novice.

Porcha has given our daughter experience and confidence in her riding with hacking, hunting and show jumping .

Porcha is a dream to be around both riding and on the ground, often taking the lead out on hacks for less confident horses and riders.

Kind natured and straight forward and always a firm yard favourite. Easy to load, clip, for the dentist and with the farrier.

Don’t be put off by her age as she is showing no signs of slowing down and has plenty left to give.

An exciting opportunity to purchase a well bred beautiful mare.

She has all the bling for the show ring, has been professionally started in her education proving an absolute little superstar.

She schools, hacks and has popped a small course.

Has been ridden by a novice child and was a little gem.

This pony will go on to do any job I feel, lead rein, first ridden and workers she seems to love her jumping.

This pony will be at hoys and ri very quickly I feel in the right hands, she's been started the right way and is ready for someone to continue bringing her on.

Unfortunately our plans have changed and now she needs to find her new family that will bring out her full potential.

Priced for the quality she is.

We are a small RDA centre with a big heart looking for multiple types and sizes of horses from 13.2 – 16.3hh ride and/or drive. We are based South West London and hack out in one of London's royal parks.

Temperament is very important and must be good to handle by multiple people. We offer our horses a variety in their life, mostly involving hacking and fun days out. We don’t have an arena onsite so ability to hack is a must. We offer herd turnout, with work rotation so horses get a large amount of rest days.

Welfare and care are our upmost priority, 5* home waiting with lots of love and care.

Much-loved 12.2hh grey cob gelding looking for a 5Star knowledgeable home. This little chap has plenty of character and presence, please don’t let his size fool you.

He is bombproof in traffic and absolutely loves hacking. He is far happier out and about than in the school and would make a brilliant hunting or strong all-round hacking pony. He is good to load, excellent to clip and with farrier and is currently barefoot.

Honest description:
He does have quirks and therefore will not suit a novice, nervous rider, or young child. He can occasionally put in an odd buck and has a habit of pulling his head down, which could unseat an inexperienced rider. For this reason, he requires a confident, balanced, experienced rider who can ride him forward and give him regular, consistent work.

In the right hands he is a fantastic, fun little cob who enjoys his job and gives his rider a lot back. He is very strong for his size, so a competent adult or very strong teenager only.

He is very well loved and this is a genuine sale. A good home is absolutely essential and will be vetted — he will not be sold to just anyone.

Serious enquiries only

If you are experienced, confident, and looking for a small but mighty hacking or hunting pony with personality, he could be the one.

12.2 6 year old black gelding - Very reluctantly offered for sale as Dylan is sadly outgrown.

Qualified for both the Young Dragonara and Pretty Polly Show Pony RIHS 2025.

Lovely quality pony with a fantastic temperament and super paces. He has been a brilliant pony to come off the lead twin, and introduce my daughter to showing, jumping and dressage.

Great with the blacksmith, good to clip, load and travel, etc.

10* home only sought for this special pony. He has the sweetest nature and is a pleasure to have at home, will be sadly missed but too good to not allow another family to have the pleasure of him.

Available to view at home in North Lincolnshire.
