Wanted 13hh pony for my competent daughter for lease, loan here in Cornwall.

My daughter is now doing juniors, small breeds etc and we are looking for an established pony to help her achieve this.

She’s been in first ridden for 3 years and has done amazingly but she’s now at the age where her riding ability is more junior riding.

Ideally an m&m Welsh B or small C but open to options to bond until next spring 2026 show season.

Tommy is our super 6yo homebred gelding. He is a quality little pony, standing at 13.2hh who excels in dressage and the judges love him. Always well behaved in a show atmosphere and at home - he loves to work. He has a cheeky welsh yet loving personality - has been carefully produced over the last 3 years after being backed as a 3yo then turned away to mature. Tommy is currently competing in unaffiliated jumping with a 12yo jockey, we are out most weekends competing or at arena hire.

Tommy has seen spooky fillers, big outdoor and indoor arenas, and thrives off a busy atmosphere. Nothing ever seems to phase him - currently jumping around 70-80cm with scope to go higher with a more experienced rider. He’s quick against the clock, never refuses and new venues/jumps never phase him. Has been to a few stay always - Champs of GB, pony club rallies etc.

Tommy also loves water, he has been to the beach and will canter through water all day. He would definitely excel further in dressage or jumping and would equally turn his hoof to any discipline as he is a great all round pony.

We’ve given Tommy the best of starts, and he is now ready for his new best friend - he would need a confident rider as he is forward and not for a wimpy rider! Bombproof in any traffic, hacked out regularly on the common and main roads.

Gem is a smart, 14.1hh bright bay mare, rising 5, believed to be Welsh Section D (unregistered). A surprise foal, we know her dam’s excellent bloodlines (Thorneyside, Welsh Flyer, Nebo and Rhystyd), though unfortunately we were never able to trace the sire due to stud dispersal.

This lovely young mare has the kindest nature and adores attention. She’s easy to catch, lead, load, and stands perfectly for grooming, the farrier, and general handling. An absolute delight to have around.

Backed in October 2024, Gem has taken everything in her stride. Calm and confident, she hacks alone or in company and is often relied on to lead other youngsters. Can step it up or down depending on her rider, would make a fab mother daughter share. Absolutely, excellent in heavy traffic, unphased by tractors and lorries making her a complete pleasure to ride.

She’s confident opening and closing gates, and will stand to be mounted from the ground or block – even when out hacking. Recently started schooling and popping a few jumps, showing great promise. She’s been to training events where she behaved like a seasoned pro, and placed 5th out of 45 in an eRide dressage test with minimal preparation.

Scarlett is a full 12.2hh, Welsh section C, 12 yrs. A fantastic all round / PC pony. Snaffled mouthed. Competed at showjumping competitions up to 80cm, always coming home with double clears and in the ribbons.

At shows Scarlett is the ultimate dream; she will load herself up onto the horse box and patiently stands and waits at shows like a little gem. She is the easiest to handle in all ways from getting her in and out of the field, to being tacked up and groomed - she loves being fussed and is such a big personality! This mare loves her work. She has been professionally schooled by a dressage rider and would make a brilliant working hunter pony. Scarlett also loves hacking; she's never spooky or silly and happily goes out on her own or in company; front or back.

She also thoroughly enjoys cross-country, where she has proved to be bold and brave. Although she has had novice beginner children on her she is not a 'kick along' and would be more of a second pony. She needs a rider that wants to have fun and do a bit of everything, showing a progressing rider the ropes. We are only selling this special pony because she has sadly been outgrown.

She has been at the same yard for 7 years. So, this amazing little mare needs another loving family who will love her as much as we do.

Sad sale of Marley our beautiful Welsh Section C.

Schools beautifully on the flat and enjoys popping a jump, would make an excellent workers pony.

Marley loves hacking and will go out alone and in company, happy to go first or last and does not get silly in open spaces.

He turns out on his own and with others. Happy to live in or out and lives on fresh air!

Good to box, travel and clip, lives on a working farm and is well see to dogs, cows, tractors and children!

He is a straightforward pony and not spooky, however he will only do as much as is asked!

We have attended pole clinics and unaffiliated dressage with Marley, he is now sadly for sale due to personal circumstances which mean we need to take a break from ponies and no fault of his own.

Very sad sale as daughter has outgrown her much loved pony Cracker.

Purchased as first pony however more suited to second pony for a more confident rider and not a complete novice. Full of character and can be a little cheeky, but very sweet nature. Loves to jump and looking for the right child to excel with Cracker.

Good with children, dogs, farrier. Easy to catch and to load.

Pinky is a 12.2 5 yo Welsh section C. She has supermodel looks,is well put together, correct, with no lumps or bumps.

We purchased her as a little project unbroken earlier in the year (from a lady that had owned her from a foal). She has been super simple to back and ride away. Broken and ridden away by my very small mum who's in her 60's. She has a trainable temperament and a nice attitude to her work. She is a fabulous mover, with great hock action and is naturally uphill ... could be produced up the levels BD. She also has a super jump and is showing plenty of ability over a fence... again could make a very good 128cm jumping or event pony in the right hands. Quality enough to show in workers .

She has been to plenty of arena hires.. jumps round a course of fences,unfaised by fillers.. has also popped a few XC fences. She has been out to a little dressage test picking up a placing on her first outing. Recently been to first showjumping competition went straight round the 60 in international arena .. completely unfaised.

Recently ridden by a 9 yo girl ..who jumped her round a 70/80 track with ease .

She is forward and responsive..Will do the odd tail swish when in season but no nasty in her whatsoever .Has hacked out alone and in company and been good with the traffic we have met.

Should go on to make a super competition pony in the right hands.. equally would suit a small adult to produce and have fun on.

My little boy who is 4 has walked her around on the lead rein.

Experienced homes due to age and level and training please so can fulfil her full potential as obviously not the finished article yet. would love to follow her progress.

Brought as a little winter project with no expectations, this little pony has excelled beyond belief and amazed us with every step.

She is unbelievably talented and I really believe in her.

My very inexperienced 9yr old has brought her on and done a fantastic job even taking her XC schooling but I feel she would now really benefit from a slightly more experienced rider and older to get the rounds on to get her started properly.

She is great to hack, canter across fields , super safe. She is forward going and buzzy in the school at home but not strong just enjoys life. She is super quiet out of the yard.

Not being sold as a ready made but she is ready to crack on now.

She only wears the mask as we find it helps her concentrate better due to being young.

Flashy Welsh section C gelding

Glynwyn Firmino aka Rhodri, sad sale of one of the most loving ponies who adores fuss and attention. He has been very carefully produced and was only backed summer last year as a rising 5yo.

Rhodri is a 6yo 12.2hh so would be a great contender in the 133cm HOYS working Hunter classes as he has a cracking jump on him, has fantastic breeding and moves for fun.

He is an angel to load and travel, would stand in the box all day. He is fully up to date with vaccinations, teeth and worming and has been clipped by me on my own. He has two front shoes on and is good for the farrier.

Rhodri loves hacking and would hack all day, is not phased by anything at all, children have hacked him out on busy roads and he was good as gold, very bold and brave.

Rhodri has been to a couple of ridden shows, and has done two working hunter classes which he showed huge potential in and was extremely well behaved. He came 2nd out of 8 in his first ever ridden novice class, standing impeccably all day waiting.

Rhodri was bought with intentions to do the working Hunter with me but sadly I don’t have the passion for it and I feel this is where he will truly shine, he would be perfect for a competent child. No novices and not for a first pony due to his age and lack of miles.

Rhodri spent his first 3 years with a showing team doing lots of in hand showing so is very used to the atmosphere, he was always in the top 2 and was champion at Lampeter show in 2024.

Rhodri is the friendliest soul, never seen him with his ears back and gets along with any pony, he loves everyone, he would be fine in a mixed herd.
