Exceptionally well bred 4 year old Connemara gelding that is definitely good enough to compete at HOYS level. Cassanova is the type hard to find, he rides beyond his years and was very sensible at his first show where he collected his Picton ticket. The judge was very complimentary stating that he had star quality and loved his front. He is a super mover, with a great walk and a nicely balanced canter. He is very trainable and picks things up very quickly.

Whilst Cassanova is a gelding, he definitely does have that star quality under saddle. This does not mean that he is sharp, he just enjoys his job and has his ears forward so is appealing to the eye. He has a great level of bone with a lovely tail set.

I could definitely see Cassanova within a home produced environment with a capable jockey that are wanting to get to the very highest level He does not need the experience of a producer's yard to achieve this. He would be rideable by a good junior jockey.

Cassanova does jump, and has jumped a variety of arena eventing cross country fences and seen water too, which he was fab with. He didn't stop at a thing but we have not hugely focused on this as I feel he has a great future in the flat classes first as he is only 4 and the ground is very hard this year. His father is eventing in France so I am sure he would have a job in the workers in time.

Cassanova has no vices, lumps or bumps. He has an incredibly kind temperament and has never offered to put a foot wrong so far. We have hacked him out and he has stayed away at a friends house for the show, where he was perfectly behaved.

Meet Loguestown Irish Cream aka Bailey. Bailey is the first foal of our top Connemara mare Loguestown Papaver by the recently deceased French stallion Gevaudan.

Loguestown Papaver (Dam) is a prolific winner, since she was a foal at foot, in both in-hand and ridden classes throughout Ireland. She has shown great scope over fences having qualified for the Powers Quary WH Final. Some of her most significant achievements include placing 2nd in the 4 and 5 yr old Ridden Connemara class at Dublin Horse Show 2013, winning the Ridden Connemara and Champion Ridden Pony at Oughterard Show 2014 and most recently winning the Open Ridden Connemara over 16 and Open Ridden Connemara Champion Northern Ireland festival 2017.

Gevaudan (Sire) was a French bred Connemara who competed at HOYS in the M&M Working Hunter twice and jumped successfully in France before coming to the UK. He was a pony with a delightful temperament, great substance and good movement. He was born bay, so does not carry the cream gene.

Bailey is a sweet and friendly colt who has been well handled from birth. He will stand tied, is happy to be groomed, has had his feet trimmed regularly and has been accepting of body spray and clippers.
