Full up 14.2 hh Connemara gelding by Dancing Tego. Kind, friendly natured boy very easy to do in all ways, good to box, shoe, clip, catch etc, and is good to hack alone and in company.
Well schooled on the flat and he loves his jumping.

We bought him last summer for my daughter to show, dressage and to have fun with, he has a lot of potential and is capable of going in whatever direction is required of him, he would make a great pony club/riding club all rounder.

We would like him to go to a knowledgeable, experienced home where he will have lots of fun and will be able to reach his full potential. He is a straightforward ride but would benefit from a kind, quiet, experienced rider as he is still a little green. He would ideally suit a teenager or small adult.
Not strong or fizzy but not a kick along either, with a soft snaffle mouth.

My daughter`s ill health over the last few months has meant that unfortunately she has not been able to do as much with him as she had intended but we have managed to take him out locally for him to gain experience and he has done exceptionally well every time.

We have decided that it is best for him to find him a new home as he just isn`t being ridden and enjoyed to the extent that he should be as he is a lovely, willing pony who enjoys his work.

If you would like to know anything more, please feel free to contact me.

Rules for Showing

Prospective purchasers of Connemara ponies should be aware that under BCPS Rules for showing – ‘No Connemara exceeding 148cm may be shown or take part in any competition restricted to Connemara or Registered Mountain and Moorland ponies within the jurisdiction of the BCPS.’

‘Where it is reported to the Society that this may have occurred then the Society may require the animal to be measured or re-measured in accordance with the Rules of the Joint Measurement Scheme -

The penalty for the contravention of the above Rule may be cancellation of the registration of the animal concerned

They should also realise that both the Irish and British Connemara Societies register ponies under a classification system. Briefly, all foals are registered as Class 3. Adult ponies (2 years and over) – Stallions and Mares – are registered in Class 1 if they pass a visual and Veterinary inspection, and as Class 2 if they fail the visual, but pass the Vet, or are over or under height, or blue eyed creams, and as Class 3 if they fail the Vet or have not been inspected

The progeny of Class 3 ponies remain in Class 3 and cannot be upgraded
