Extremely sad sale of our beautiful boy, Ben. We have owned Ben for 4 yours as a mother/daughter share. My daughter then 11 took him to Pony Club camp independently and has done for the past four years. During the past four years he has attended every clinic you can think of, rallies, one day events, dressage competitions, show jumping and cross country. We have also hunted him once.

He is the most gentle soul I have ever met, he would never kick, bite, barge, he is extremely respectful to handle. However, he has a nervous disposition and you do have to handle him with care and consideration. Saying that we can unload him in a new place that he has never seen before and drop his head collar on the floor before we put the bridle on he just stands there and waits.

On arrival at new places you can ride him round on the buckle he is not giddy or excitable. His real love is cross country, that is where he looks happiest, he will jump everything and anything really brave and he covers the ground quickly. He is like a Duracell bunny and never tires, will keep going all day. He has done county level working hunter showing and received top marks for conformation however this is not something we have pursued. His passport says he is 14.2hh but he is bigger. He hacks out alone and in company. However, he is a horse and does have negatives...he is nervous of large, fast traveling vehicles on the road, especially on his own, he is better in company. He doesn't do anything naughty just rushes forwards for a few steps. He also gets tense during flat work, he likes a balanced rider who doesn't rely on their hands so therefore is not a novice ride. He is a forward, responsive ride as he is a competition horse.

The only reason for sale is that I do not have enough time to ride at all and my daughter is busy with her other horse and he is just being wasted. Genuinely a heart breaking sale, he will only be sold to a suitable home. You will know everything about him, warts and all. Lots of videos and pictures available on request.

She is a pleasure to handle and do in every way. Lives in or out, great with the farrier, vet, to load etc. Hacks out happily by herself or in company and has a great jump. Will make a great WHP or general all rounder for a teenager or small adult. Snaffled mouthed and responsive to the aids.

1st in her first prelim this year, currently out competing in all phases and taking it all in her stride. Very safe and sensible but with spark.

She has been shown regularly in hand at local shows where she has had numerous first prizes and reserve championships in mixed M & M classes.

Sherry was broken to ride in 2011 and in 2012 shown in saddle in M & M classes at local shows that year always been placed in the top 3.

Piccalilli is a home bred Filly out of my very successful competition pony.

Piccalilli is unbroken but lunging well and has long reined around the lanes. She has taken to everything that has been asked of her easily and is ready to continue her education. She Is excellent to handle in all ways and loves her work.

She has good bone and confirmation, with straight movement and I am sure with the right home would do well in the show ring. She has a lovely trainable temperament and is fine on her own and with other horses.

She is good with farrier, to bath, catch and box.

TawnyDun Hugo has super athletic paces within a lovely compact conformation. His very elegant free moving stride combined with good bone and substance has the potential to make an excellent small competition horse – especially eventing, showjumping and dressage.

Bold and forward, inquisitive, happy with people and learns quickly. Classy with great presence and generous temperament, his rare eye-catching golden dun (buckskin) colour and oodles of character will make him a sought-after youngster for the future.

He has excellent jumping breeding through the 'Castle' & 'Sparrow' lines from his dam - Ashfield Mactalla was awarded Elite stallion status for his silver medal eventing offspring. His speed and TB quality come from his sire’s exceptional bloodlines of Secretariat and Mr Prospector. Of course, he could do just as well in the show ring too..............

Definitely not one to miss! To make around 15.1hh - 15.2hh

Standing at 15h now as a 2yo. Should make 15.2hh when mature. Has been long reined and lunged with a roller. Has been to his first show where he behaved like a true champ with impeccable manners.

Lovely laid back temperament. Good to have his feet trimmed. Loads into a trailer or lorry. Up to date with registrations, vaccinations and worming.

Sold unbroken and turned out following his show in hand on the 14th May.

Thurlestone has been carefully bred by me out of my Connemara mare. At 57 I am too 'mature' to bring out his full potential under saddle. I have lovingly looked after him since he was foaled and he has just spent one month being professionally produced for his first show.

I am looking for a home that recognises his potential. We are situated between Totnes and Newton Abbot at Redpost.

**BEWARE**

BOGUS EMAILS & BUYERS!

Ref #: 22412

Increasing numbers of internet advertisers are receiving emails from bogus buyers, attempting to scam sellers

This tactic is a worldwide problem; however it would appear to be on the rise in the equine industry, targeting everything from horses and ponies for sale, to horseboxes, trailers and tack

**EXAMPLE SCAM ALERT**

We've been informed of a new email scam doing the rounds. This time the scam email in commonly coming from ‘Travis Bennett’ & 'Cynthia PT', asking a list of questions & offering to transfer a deposit and payment for shipping. Please ignore this email and if you have time report it to Action Fraud, for more details click HERE

In another instance the scammer will contact you via email asking if your horse is still for sale, this will be followed by an email containing 23 questions as shown on the picture on the left. Please do not respond to this email. Sorry for any inconvenience caused and rest assured we are doing our best to combat this.

Another scam which is particularly common, is  when theadvertiser is contacted about an item, asking for more images, and then once the images have been received the bogus buyer will agree to send a cheque for the full amount.  At this point the seller is asked to email their full contact details to enable the buyer to send payment. The seller is then contacted again saying that the cost of shipping has accidently been included on the cheque, and could the seller forward the cost of shipment onto a courier, which is also bogus

These scams can vary, however emails are often written in broken English and written in an over friendly style.  We urge HorseQuest customers to respond to email enquiries with caution. If something sounds too good to be true, it often is!

If you think you’ve been scammed then we strongly recommend that you contact the police
