Pencil could easily be mistaken for an Irish sports horse without his Wetherbys passport!

He is a lovely stamp of a horse with uphill paces, an intelligent trainable attitude, and a naturally scopey careful jump.

Pencil has been out of training 12 months and in this time he has proven himself to be very versatile in lots of scenarios. Pencil will hack with a novice mum or a want-to-have fun teenager, hunt, xc and sj competitively at stay away shows, be picked up and put down where he comes back just the same, and goes in the school willing to try and learn any new task asked of him.

Pencil is by no means the finished article, he works through correctly on the bridle nicely into the hand in walk, trot, and canter, but he is still re training being a former race horse. ROR and TAP eligible, for him to excel in a new career he would benefit from regular outings and continued training to build on this foundation. However he would equally suit someone who just wanted a nice horse to ride.

Pencil has very good manners although he is not a cuddly, fussy horse. He is a good doer who will live in or out. He does have a couple of non interfering splints and an old sarcoid scar but otherwise is fit and well having passed a vetting with neck and back x rays 12 months ago.

Ivy is a lovely, sensible horse. She was broken in earlier this year and has done a wee bit of everything but hasn’t been rushed in any way. So far we haven’t found a single thing that she’s not been happy to try and she is proving to be a brilliant all rounder. She’s been to a few lessons, a weekend eventing camp, out on hacks etc and hasn’t put a hoof wrong.

She is quiet and level headed (without being overly confident or bolshy) though is young and very green so wouldn’t be suitable for a beginner or complete novice.

She’s is a blank canvas, ready for someone to put their own stamp on and would be suited to a variety of disciplines.

She’s got a lovely, sweet nature and just loves a cuddle and fuss. She is currently turned out with another mare and a gelding and gets on well with them both.

She is good with the farrier, vet etc but needs sedated (just with dormocedan) to be clipped. We think she would eventually be fine without the sedation but she’s very nervous of the noise of the clippers so we’ve sedated her to avoid stressing her. She also loads and travels well too.

She’s barefoot with great, strong feet and is an absolute sweetheart of a horse. Very well mannered and easy to handle.

Thomas came to us at the end of February fresh off a hill where he was given the time to properly mature and grow.

Mac is a super sweet boy who has taken to retraining like a pro. He is easy to handle, loves a fuss. Clean limbed, retired sound from racing, just wasn’t fast enough.

Going well on the flat, 3 correct paces, would easily do dressage or show.

Plenty of jump, not phased by fillers. Jumped up to 95cm on a ticket. XC schooled and also jumped clear around the Cotswold novice team chase with the team finishing 12th out of 52 teams. Would easily BS or event. Although he has done enough to see a range of different things he has done a limited number of outings with plenty of downtime in between. He’s been brought along slowly and correctly with his future in mind.

Guinness an amazing example of the Irish horse, sane, honest and well established this horse is worth his weight in gold. If you are looking for an eye catching allrounder & hunter/ODE then he really is your perfect horse.

He has three well balanced and straight paces, works quietly and sweetly in the arena and with a little further education he would produce a lovely dressage test. All his basic transitions are there and he is very balanced, just some finishing touches required which will come very easily. He has a lovely soft mouth.

Guinness loves jumping and has ALOT of scope. He is a point and go type, and definitely has the ability to tackle hedges if you fancied it. Guinness is familiar with all types of fillers and tray, he has also schooled round rustic fences on several occasions proving hisself to be bold and honest. Guinness willingly, rarely touches a pole and doesn’t fizz up or become strong. He hunted for 2 seasons with his previous owner.

Guinness hacks well both alone and in company, he will happily go first or last in both open spaces and heavy traffic. He is totally unflappable in any traffic. We can’t find any faults with this lovely chap! Totally sane and very smart horse for most riders.

Hugo is a sweet natured horse who is a big softie with lots of potential. Unfortunately due to time and personal circumstances I am having to make the hard decision to sell him.

Hugo has 3 lovely paces, with a scopey jump, he’s a quick learner and has always been a trier.
I have owned Hugo since he was a 4 year old and in that time he has never been sick or sorry, he’s always been looked after and has never been ‘ragged’ around.

Hugo is a green horse who has a bright future for someone who has the time to put the work into him, where I have not been able to get him out to shows he is low mileage and green for his age, so he is not a horse for a novice.

In the time that I have had Hugo he has competed at BSJA shows, he has double clears in British novices, and jumped some good rounds in discovery’s and 95’s etc.
He has been jumping on a ticket recently due to expenses and circumstances, where he has jumped some lovely rounds in British novices and Discovery’s, showing lots of potential.
Hugo is a green horse as I have not had the time or money to get him out to shows over the last couple of years, which is no fault of his own, so he is not suitable for a novice.
He needs an experienced home where his potential can be fulfilled, as I am unable to do him justice.
He has been to many arena hires, where I have many videos and pictures which I am happy to share.

Hugo is a good boy to have his feet trimmed (I’ve always kept him barefoot), he’s good for the dentist, clipping, travelling in a lorry and a trailer etc.

Hugo has a sarcoid which does not affect him, I am happy to discuss this further with potential buyers.

Kesha is very careful and will come to a jump on any stride, making sure to always help out his rider.
